Grab, Avoid or Bore Off! – Fantasy Premier League 2021-22

The first edition of Gabo for this new season.

With FPL getting closer and closer to starting it is of course time for Bore Off to also kickoff. I have gathered three of my esteemed colleagues: GP of Scottish fantasy fame, Rosco of FPL fame and Smash of Devil’s Advocate fame.

I asked for the site members to provide any questions they wanted answering, and did they ever! Some really great stuff was asked and hopefully this edition of Bore Off can provide you with some good answers (doubtful) to said questions. I want to send a special thanks to all who volunteered questions that were not sexually explicit. punish

  1. Entertaining read! And how polite towards Rosco of you all to not consider them black ‘n white stripes fellows in the bottom three wink

    I hope Brentford gets a Leeds’esque season, would love to see them succeed smile

    So then it’ll be hmm Newcastle/CP/Burnley, Norwich and Watford for me I think… Though, Wolves pre-season form has not been promising though, wonder if they will have a tough season… Many to choose from in the bottom half potentially.

  2. Have any of you seen any updates to Eze’s or Neto’s fitness? (perhaps rather, their route and timing of getting back to fitness)

    • Eze I think is miles off. Might be the new year. Neto is also a good few months I believe

      • There seems to be some info out there on Neto that makes it hard to know. I have read everything from he is somewhat close to resuming training, to he could be sold to he back in December.

  3. Think I’m set

    • Smash, looks good but monitor news about Kane.
      Yesterday the Telegraph reported that Kane will miss the opening game regardless what is the transfer situation.

    • It’s good to see an experienced manager square their circles in such a manner and arrive at a team like that.

      Robertson in as presumably Mane was just outside your budget?

      • Dam three Liverpool players put a stop to that I could have had him over Mahrez

  4. Hey guys, brilliant stuff, I really enjoyed reading that.
    I’m trying to decide between having two rotating 4.5m defenders or Coufal and a 4m defender. I’m thinking Fofana and Ayling maybe, what do u guys reckon?

    • Fofana and Ayling. There’s nothing at 4 million

      • We’re really chasing shadows pre-season with 4m players. The only whispers I’ve detected are a Man U (I think) player possibly going out on loan or Manquillo, if we get lucky.

        • Norwich one is looking ok in pre season but it’s Norwich. Not sure they are worth it

        • I’d buy a 4m defender if it was Tamworth FC or Lewes Town they played for.

        • How about Kelly from Palace he have any chance, somehow a Palace defender always makes it into this conversation every season.

        • Kelly…haven’t we been here before, in previous seasons, with him? Rings a bell.

        • This might not be his first 4.0 rodeo.

        • Palace have or are close to signing Anderson who was on loan at Fulham
