Grab, Avoid or Bore Off! – Fantasy Premier League 2021-22

The first edition of Gabo for this new season.

With FPL getting closer and closer to starting it is of course time for Bore Off to also kickoff. I have gathered three of my esteemed colleagues: GP of Scottish fantasy fame, Rosco of FPL fame and Smash of Devil’s Advocate fame.

I asked for the site members to provide any questions they wanted answering, and did they ever! Some really great stuff was asked and hopefully this edition of Bore Off can provide you with some good answers (doubtful) to said questions. I want to send a special thanks to all who volunteered questions that were not sexually explicit. punish

Well, without further ado, let us see what the boys had to say.

Thanks for reading Grab, Avoid or Bore Off!. This article was written by Mito21.

This looks like fun, may as well go with that – until I change it last minute in a spontaneous panic moment, of course focus

Do we no whether Thomas or Bertrand are first choice? Thomas could be an interesting alternative if it looks like he starts?

    **Set Pieces**

It is finally updated, just finished it up. If anyone sees a problem with it that is clear and obvious please call for VAR and we will have a look at it.

Richarlison is having a great summer at the Olympics.
A hatrick against Germany and then a brace last night against Saudi Arabia.
With Everton’s nice few fixtures at the start he is on my radar yes

I like him and he’s certainly in form, but is there a risk of him having a rest (one game maybe?) before joining up with the rest of the Toffees?

He was terrible at the Copa América. At least in the ones I watched him.

Not sure how it will go with Rafa and him. Don’t think Benitez will put him in a front 2. Guessing he plays wide and has more defensive responsibility than he has been used to.

Will have to see him put in some good performances with Everton before he grabs my interest.

He’s playing way above his level here Ivan, in terms of opposition. I’d be more worried if he wasn’t smashing it. He basically begged to be allowed to take part, and let’s face it that’s because he knew he’d be the star turn for once. It feeds his child-like ego.

I agree with Mito on the Rafa formation, I expect to see DCL up top alone with 3 behind, perhaps even just 2 at times. He’ll have to make do with a wing spot I think. Same difference really though, just means he’ll be diving and rolling around on a different part of the turf.

This is what I’m currently sitting on. I haven’t heard anyone talk about Pulisic at all. I understand his fixtures aren’t great but I think out of all the Chelsea players, he will hit the ground running this season. This will be his first full preseason and he looks to be playing in every friendly he can. He is on a huge high after winning the champions league and the nations league in the space of ten days so his confidence will be booming.

Any thoughts on this team and Pulisic?
