Grab, Avoid or Bore Off! – Fantasy Premier League 2018-19

Usually when we ask our writing team to come forth for an International Break GABO we see tumbleweeds in abundance, and little sign of actual writers. This time however, for whatever reason, they were literally scrambling over each other to get involved. So much so that we have no less than two episodes of GABO to bring you in the break this time. We’ve decided to split them based upon perceived personality traits; Glass Half Full & Glass Half Empty. We say perceived personality traits… it was actually based solely on their original answers on WhatsApp to our request for entrants. Funnily enough, it was unerringly accurate.

First up then we have AT, Swirly and Rosco. AT and Swirly’s answers were very similar; when would you like it done by? As you’d expect. Rosco’s answer was a ‘brown thumb’…. which we took to mean a positive sign, others took it… well, we shall leave that to your own imagination.

Welcome to all, from the glass is half full club….

Any news on Zaha? Double with a good first fixture Hud at home.

Am I set for the DGW? Already taken a -4, don’t think it’s worth it to take another hit. Those who are using their TC, who are you going with? Anyone worth considering other than Sterling or Aguero?

Any love for single game week players in free hit teams? Mane, Vardy…

      Wafflez says:

Mane will probably outscore Hazard so yes

      • Kralin says:

You’re probably right. Grim chuckles all round.

But I’ll still be going for Hazard, like a moth drawn to a flame.

        • Wafflez says:

Yea he will most likely be in my squad also, even if he failed me miserably last time he was in my team

        • Kralin says:

I know what you mean. There are certain players who have haunted me down the years. I suppose it is balanced by ones who’ve served me well and whose selection at times may be similarly irrational.

But Chelsea wobbles notwithstanding Hazard is one of the best players in the world and has great fixtures, so in he stays. I suspect that won’t change for me.

Evening all! How’s my FH looking? Not much cash but managed squeeze in Aguero, Kane, Haz, Sterling and Pogba. Any suggestions? Rotation risks? Thanks!

Evening people! Early I know but think I’m gonna -4 and do Fabianski/Moutinho to Guaita/Deulofeu while I can afford it this gw! Gives me a benching headache but also a better keeper option for next 2 gws and Watford cover for gw35 and BB!
What do you think…any other moves I should be looking at? I’m really light for gw33 btw and WC and FH gone.
    Cheers
