Harry and Lloyd’s Fantasy Predictions GW11
Welcome to Harry and Lloyd’s Fantasy Predictions GW11. It’s only taken 10 weeks but I think we can finally say with confidence that results have returned to the mean. 2-1 is a classic scoreline and normally the safest prediction in any given match, this week we had three of them. Throw in a 1-1, a couple of 1-0’s and the annual Man City 5 Burnley 0 and things look positively, well, normal. This week we have our first Covid Postponement, Villa v Newcastle as of now is no longer a part of GW11. Should it be moved to next week (and still fall within GW11) by all means predict the score, but it won’t be counted towards this week’s totals.
On to the Winners. Top-spot this week is IzzatAziz with a very impressive 16pts having correctly guessed last weeks FGS. 2nd placed Treacle also correctly predicted last week’s FGS, but sadly 13pts was not enough for that coveted number one placing. Finally, we have a tie for 3rd place with Hammerfan, JamieMc and Igy all finishing on 12pts. We had a whole host of people correctly guess last weeks FGS (Wilson in the 88th minute – yay).
And so; Many Congratulations to IzzatAziz. Please email us here; contact@fantasyfootball247.co.uk to claim your prize.
We have, as promised, our new-look league table. DMC has sadly had to step down from his H&L duties, but thankfully my Bro from another Mo – Matt has taken up the baton. He said in his recent email ‘You can choose to say it’s weekly or fortnightly or even monthly if you want as I’m easy with any’. So there you have it. I imagine we will try to make this a weekly thing, although may have to push it back over the busy festive fixture period.
THIS WEEK’S COMPETITION… Scoring couldn’t be simpler:
Correct Score = 3 points
Correct result = 1 point
Correct First Goalscorer of the game-week = 5 points
(to clarify this is who you think will score the 1st goal of the entire GW, not just in any game you choose to pick yourself!)
(Points are awarded on an ‘either/or’ basis, so you’ll either score 3 points for a Correct Score or 1 point for a Correct Result, these are never added together for a 4 point score.)
Tie-Breaker In the event that two or more members are tied as winners for the week the overall winner of the t-shirt will be decided by a tie-breaker. In order to do this, we ask that you also post your prediction of the time that the first goal of the week will be scored at. Nearest the pin wins.
The Rules… They are few; 1 entry per person and all entries must be submitted prior to the first game of the game-week. Kick-off this week comes on Saturday at 12:30 pm. Once all the games have been played, we’ll count up the scores and the winner(s) will be announced in the following week’s competition article and each week our winner will walk away with an FF247 branded t-shirt! ). So just to recap all you need to do is; – Copy and paste the fixtures from below and pop your score prediction on each. – Tell us who you think will be the first goal scorer of the week (and that can be from any game regardless of your other predictions) – Add in your time of the first goal of the week for any potential tie-breaker situation.
Here are the fixtures, best of luck to you all!
