Harry and Lloyd’s Fantasy Predictions GW11
Welcome to Harry and Lloyd’s Fantasy Predictions GW11.
We had a treble-treble in the H&L offices this week as we had 9 managers finish with double digit scores. Three of them finished third, three of them finished second and three of them finished first. I feel like Bob Dorough “Three is a magic number, yes it is, it’s a magic number” No one got the magic FGS as it was an own goal turned into their own net by Joel Ward if someone had predicted that I (Matt) would have petitioned for them to just be given as many points as they wanted! We saw some pretty obvious results such as wins for Spurs, Arsenal and Liverpool. City got the 3 points against their city rivals, Man United in a 0-3 thumping. The biggest shock of the weekend was Brentford beating Chelsea Everton beating West Ham.
Let’s go into our magic nine, the three in third place with 10 points were Regs83, Potty and Bhandrex Bhajiegoer. The three managers in second place with 11 points were Sherlock, Ivan and DenPerryDidIt but our three managers at the top of pile with 12 points were Padster, JamieMc and AJW. We had to go to a tiebreaker and there were (you guessed it!) three minutes separating AJW’s and JamieMc’s predictions but Padster had to ruin my fun and have a gap of five minutes (BOOOOOO!)
The manager who guessed closest was AJW as their prediction was 17 minutes off the correct time with JamieMc being 20 minutes off.
Many congratulations to AJW. Please email us here: contact@fantasyfootball247.co.uk to claim your prize.
Overall League Table
THIS WEEK’S COMPETITION… scoring couldn’t be much simpler:
• Correct Score —> 3 points;
• Correct Result —> 1 point; and
• Correct First Goalscorer of the Gameweek —> 5 points.
To clarify, this is who you think will score the first goal of the entire Gameweek, not just in any given match that you choose to pick yourself!
Points above are awarded on an ‘either / or’ basis, so you’ll either score 3 points for a Correct Score or just 1 point for a Correct Result, and these are never added together for a 4-point score.
Tie-Breaker: in the event of 2+ entrants being tied as winners for the Gameweek, the overall winner of the t-shirt will be decided by a tie-breaker. In order to do this, we ask that you also post your prediction for the time at which the first goal of the Gameweek will be scored. Nearest the pin wins!
The Rules… they are few: 1 entry per person and all entries must be submitted prior to the first match of the Gameweek. Kick-off this week comes on Friday at 19:45. Once all the matches have been played, we’ll calculate the scores, and the winner(s) will be announced in the following Gameweek’s competition article: each winner will walk away with an FF247-branded pen.
So, to recap, all that you need to do to play is:
• copy & paste the fixtures from below and pop your score prediction on each;
• tell us who you think will be the First Goalscorer of the Gameweek; and
• follow it with your guess for the time of this first goal (to give yourself a fighting chance in a tie-breaker situation).
Here are the fixtures; best of luck to you all!
