Harry and Lloyd’s Fantasy Predictions GW17

Welcome to Harry and Lloyd’s Fantasy Predictions GW17.

Here it is! The moment you have all been waiting for. We finally have the time to take a breath and get the results from the last few weeks. We have not been able to provide you any results from GW14, 15 and 16 but we are glad to able to get them to you. Let’s stop all the suspense and cut to the chase.

In GW14, it was a very close affair. 6 managers finished tied for 2nd place on 10 points with a further 7 managers just one behind on 8 points. That is over a quarter of the participants that were just 2-3 points away from winning. However just one manager came out on top and that was H&L veteran Shrivatsha on a clear 12 points.

In GW15, we went from a close affair to a very high scoring one. A massive 19 managers scored a double-digit score so if you won this week… you definitely earned it! The massive score lines were helped by so many managers getting Hwang correct as the first goal scorer against Burnley. We didn’t have any ties for the podium places this week actually with most of the ties being around the 10-14 point mark. Third place was Pjlill on 15 points on their own. Second place was just a single point more on 16 earned by Qwkliduzzit. However, top of the pile (and certainly no noob) on a fantastic 19 points was Eplnoob.

Finally in GW16, we dropped back on the points in what was a pretty abysmal football and fantasy week. A lot of calls went different ways with Sheffield United beating Brentford, Bournemouth hammering Man Utd, Everton beating Chelsea and probably the biggest shock Fulham putting 5 past West Ham. For the second week in a row, there were no ties for the podium and we had a clear top three. In third place, was my brother from another mother, Rosco with 8 points. Shrivatsha nearly grabbed another win in a short space of weeks by finishing in second place on 10 points. They were beaten this time around by 2 points as RafflesHotspur grabbed the lead on 12 points.

Many congratulations to Shrivatsha, Eplnoob and RafflesHotspur! Please email us here: contact@fantasyfootball247.co.uk to claim your prize.

Overall League Table

I don’t have any favourites when it comes to this competition but C’MON ROSCO!!! yess In all seriousness, it is tight at the top with only 11 points separating the top 5!

THIS WEEK’S COMPETITION… scoring couldn’t be much simpler:

• Correct Score —> 3 points;
• Correct Result —> 1 point; and
• Correct First Goalscorer of the Gameweek —> 5 points.

To clarify, this is who you think will score the first goal of the entire Gameweek, not just in any given match that you choose to pick yourself!

Points above are awarded on an ‘either / or’ basis, so you’ll either score 3 points for a Correct Score or just 1 point for a Correct Result, and these are never added together for a 4-point score.

Tie-Breaker: in the event of 2+ entrants being tied as winners for the Gameweek, the overall winner of the t-shirt will be decided by a tie-breaker. In order to do this, we ask that you also post your prediction for the time at which the first goal of the Gameweek will be scored. Nearest the pin wins!

The Rules… 1 entry per person and all entries must be submitted prior to the first match of the Gameweek. Once all the matches have been played, we’ll calculate the scores, and the winner(s) will be announced in the following Gameweek’s competition article: each winner will walk away with an FF247-branded pen.

So, to recap, all that you need to do to play is:

• copy & paste the fixtures from below and pop your score prediction on each;
• tell us who you think will be the First Goalscorer of the Gameweek; and
• follow it with your guess for the time of this first goal (to give yourself a fighting chance in a tie-breaker situation).

Here are the fixtures; best of luck to you all!
