Harry and Lloyd’s Fantasy Predictions GW27
Welcome to Harry and Lloyd’s Fantasy Predictions GW27. My Go, that was one long gameweek! Yes, I know the ‘winter’ break is there to give the players a well-deserved rest and that the English FA is years behind the rest of Europe in terms of giving their players a break. The break hadn’t even started before we saw controversy as Klopp was adamant his players were not going to play in the FA cup replay and this rubbed a lot of people up the wrong way, the Shrewsbury CEO in particular. Well Liverpool came out the other end of that replay with a win so that was good! We then turned our attention to the Premier League and more controversy as Storm Ciara came in and gave everyone (Rosco) a right good scare. Man City and West Ham have just completed their postponed match after Storm Ciara decided to really make this first Premier League ‘Winter’ break memorable. The rest of the gameweek was rather controversy-free as Spurs beat Villa, Arsenal beat Newcastle, Liverpool continued their unbeaten streak and Chelsea fans are once again calling for a manager to be sacked… nothing irregular really.
I will move straight on to the H&L GW26 results as I am sure most of you have forgotten what you actually predicted in the first place. It was a fairly close race this week as the scores were quite similar and a lot of people ended up on the same scores. No one got the FGS which was Bernard and that would have given people a bit of breathing room. The winner this week on a great 13 points was Zed Leppelin. Just behind him on 12 points and tied for second place were Igy4 and MBD. There were quite a good few of you behind them on 11 and 10 points so well done to everyone you came so close but close only counts in horseshoes.
And so; Many Congratulations to Zed Leppelin. Please email us here; contact@fantasyfootball247.co.uk to claim your prize.
The Overall League Table
THIS WEEK’S COMPETITION… Scoring couldn’t be simpler:
Correct Score = 3 points
Correct result = 1 point
Correct First Goalscorer of the game-week = 5 points
(to clarify this is who you think will score the 1st goal of the entire GW, not just in any game you choose to pick yourself!)
(Points are awarded on an ‘either/or’ basis, so you’ll either score 3 points for a Correct Score or 1 point for a Correct Result, these are never added together for a 4 point score.)
Tie-Breaker In the event that two or more members are tied as winners for the week the overall winner of the t-shirt will be decided by a tie-breaker. In order to do this, we ask that you also post your prediction of the time that the first goal of the week will be scored at. Nearest the pin wins.
The Rules… They are few; 1 entry per person and all entries must be submitted prior to the first game of the game-week. Kick-off this week comes on Friday at 8:00 pm. Once all the games have been played, we’ll count up the scores and the winner(s) will be announced in the following week’s competition article and each week our winner will walk away with an FF247 branded t-shirt! ). So just to recap all you need to do is; – Copy and paste the fixtures from below and pop your score prediction on each. – Tell us who you think will be the first goal scorer of the week (and that can be from any game regardless of your other predictions) – Add in your time of the first goal of the week for any potential tie-breaker situation.
Here are the fixtures, best of luck to you all!
