After 38 long weeks, rudely interrupted by a badly thought-out World Cup, filled with more double-game weeks than anyone really needs, we are done!
We have 2 game weeks to wrap up but before we get to that, I’d like to say a huge thank you to each and every one of you that have taken part, be it for the whole season or just one week, it all counts!
As long as there is a desire for this competition then we’ll be here ready and willing!

There was a whopping 25 of you who correctly guessed the FGS, but it was eplnoob who came away victorious, those additional 5pts inflated his score of 13pts and nobody could match their 18pt total. Geobfree came closest, 16pts total thanks to those additional FGS points and into second place. In third we have no less than six of you; Fran Riku, hammerfan, Albox, Leprechaun, PM and highaction all finishing on 13pts. Kudos.

We have a new member to our contributor cohort and he celebrated in style by taking the top-spot in GW38. 18pts thanks to correctly guessing the FGS, well played and welcome Jamie Mc! PM came closest with 14pts despite no FGS, and in third we have shared spot with BhandrexBhajiegoer and Albox both so close with 13pts.

League Table
After 38 largely consistent game weeks, MBD got it over the line and takes the H&L league title 2023! Our very own Loud Atlas pushed him close, but in the end, MDB wins with a 6pt margin and takes the plaudits for a very solid season indeed! PM takes third, just 1pt behind Loud atlas and finally completing the ‘Champions League’ spots is IvanTheTerrible. I finished down in 17th, which is apt as that is my birthday!
A huge congratulations to MDB and well played to everyone else who took part, maybe next year will be your year!

Thanks for a season well ended! I’ll just reiterate this, but I think this is such a great part of our little community and adds a lot to the fun (and misery) of FPL and in general following the EPL.

Hey everyone – thanks immensely for organizing H&L. Have had a wonderful year, and loved this weekly bout. Well done to the winners (ie the top 30!) – I really don’t know how you remain so consistent in your tipping!
