Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW12

Welcome to Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW12.

I think you will all join me in saying “Thank God for no more Internationals until March!”

Boy, do I hate those things! Now we have a solid 13 gameweeks without any breaks! That’s right we are about to enter the silly season! H&L is about to embark on the annual journey of double or triple result articles, keeping you all in suspense at times and just making sure you are all kept on your toes. This is the time where the men are separated from the boys (or women from girls… we do not discriminate here in the H&L towers) friends

GW11 which feels so long ago now saw some shock results! Spurs went full Spursy and lost 1-2 against Ipswich which was the latter’s first win of the season and first Premier League win since 2002! Another big shock was City dropping more points after Brighton came from behind to win 2-1 over Pep’s men. Liverpool capitalised on this by winning 2-0 against Villa but Arsenal didn’t as they were held 1-1 against fellow Londoners, Chelsea.

This saw some bunching of points in H&L with 6 people getting double digits and filling up the podium places. We had a tie at the top on 12 points and a solo 3rd place spot on 11 points. That solo manager was Redmecca who just fell short of our top 2 this week. LoudAtlas and Farao69 both finished on 12 but for yet another week there was no one who got the FGS correct to split them. We fall to our tie-breaker and the one who came out closer was Farao69 who was just 13 minutes off the correct time. An unlucky number for some but not Farao69!

Many congratulations to Farao69! Please email us here: contact@fantasyfootball247.co.uk to claim your prize.

Overall League Table

THIS WEEK’S COMPETITION… scoring couldn’t be much simpler:

• Correct Score —> 3 points;
• Correct Result —> 1 point; and
• Correct First Goalscorer of the Gameweek —> 5 points.

To clarify, this is who you think will score the first goal of the entire Gameweek, not just in any given match that you choose to pick yourself!

Points above are awarded on an ‘either / or’ basis, so you’ll either score 3 points for a Correct Score or just 1 point for a Correct Result, and these are never added together for a 4-point score.

Tie-Breaker: in the event of 2+ entrants being tied as winners for the Gameweek, the overall winner of the weekly prize will be decided by a tie-breaker. In order to do this, we ask that you also post your prediction for the time at which the first goal of the Gameweek will be scored. Nearest the pin wins!

The Rules… 1 entry per person and all entries must be submitted prior to the first match of the Gameweek. Once all the matches have been played, we’ll calculate the scores, and the winner(s) will be announced in the following Gameweek’s competition article: each winner will walk away with an FF247-branded pen.

So, to recap, all that you need to do to play is:

• copy & paste the fixtures from below and pop your score prediction on each;
• tell us who you think will be the First Goalscorer of the Gameweek; and
• follow it with your guess for the time of this first goal (to give yourself a fighting chance in a tie-breaker situation).

Here are the fixtures; best of luck to you all!
