Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW12

Welcome to Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW12.

Let’s start you off by keeping you informed in what will be happening for the next while. It is getting into silly season and to make it even more chaotic, our beloved Simmo has some holidays booked in. We will not begrudge him a few weeks off but could he have picked a more easy time?

With the automatic scoring and counting system on the shelf, I do not want to go back to counting the scores manually so instead we will do a weekly article for each gameweek without results. This will allow us to auto-count when Simmo is back with his coding.

Therefore, this will be the last results article you will get for the next few weeks and then a mammoth results article in the future.
Now with the admin out of the way, let’s recap GW11.

Lots of big scores this week in H&L, with 14 managers getting into double digit territory. This was aided by the fact 16 people correctly predicted., Bryan Mbeumo to get the first goal of the weekend.

United snatched a draw in a 2-2 game vs Spurs, Lots of goals scored on Sunday with 3 goals minimum in all games bar Palace vs Brighton who let the side down and played out a 0-0 draw. Arsenal were pegged back with a spirited Sunderland effort in their 2-2 draw. Liverpool struggled against City who gained some ground on Arsenal at the time.

For H&L, we had a tie for 2nd place with Eggwich and Nathc168 both on 13 points. However in a weekend where there was 33 goals scored across the 10 games, the one who goes by GoalMachine was loving it as it propelled him to top spot on a brilliant 15 points.

Many congratulations to GoalMachine! Please email us here: contact@fantasyfootball247.co.uk to claim your prize.

Overall League Table

THIS WEEK’S COMPETITION… scoring couldn’t be much simpler:

• Correct Score —> 3 points;
• Correct Result —> 1 point; and
• Correct First Goalscorer of the Gameweek —> 5 points.

To clarify, this is who you think will score the first goal of the entire Gameweek, not just in any given match that you choose to pick yourself!

Points above are awarded on an ‘either / or’ basis, so you’ll either score 3 points for a Correct Score or just 1 point for a Correct Result, and these are never added together for a 4-point score.

Tie-Breaker: in the event of 2+ entrants being tied as winners for the Gameweek, the overall winner of the weekly prize will be decided by a tie-breaker. In order to do this, we ask that you also post your prediction for the time at which the first goal of the Gameweek will be scored. Nearest the pin wins!

The Rules… 1 entry per person and all entries must be submitted prior to the first match of the Gameweek. Once all the matches have been played, we’ll calculate the scores, and the winner(s) will be announced in the following Gameweek’s competition article: each winner will walk away with an FF247-branded prize..

So, to recap, all that you need to do to play is:

• copy & paste the fixtures from below and pop your score prediction on each;
• tell us who you think will be the First Goalscorer of the Gameweek; and
• follow it with your guess for the time of this first goal (to give yourself a fighting chance in a tie-breaker situation).

Here are the fixtures; best of luck to you all!
