Welcome to Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW2.

We are back and had some nice results in GW1. No massive shocks. Liverpool won easily, Haaland did what he usually does and scored to help City win over Chelsea. Spurs ended the gameweek by being properly roasted by the veteran Jamie Vardy who subtlety reminded them they have won nothing!

We had a great turn out of 52 entries in GW1 and a wide spread of results ranging from 1 pt to the winning 15 pts. That is fantastic to see and it’s not too late to join now for the overall table!

Nobody correctly guessed that new boy Joshua Zirkzee would be the FGS in GW1 but one sole man deserves a shout out, Swirly, was only one minute away from the correct time but did not get the name right.

Now onto the results and we had a tie at the top so in 3rd place was Jamie Mc on 14 points but tied on 15 pts were Eplnoob and Pjlill. Both were a long way off the correct time with one being 53 minutes away and the other being 72 minutes away. Coming out on top however was Pjlill who was the closer of the two.

Overall League Table

THIS WEEK’S COMPETITION… scoring couldn’t be much simpler:

• Correct Score —> 3 points;
• Correct Result —> 1 point; and
• Correct First Goalscorer of the Gameweek —> 5 points.

To clarify, this is who you think will score the first goal of the entire Gameweek, not just in any given match that you choose to pick yourself!

Points above are awarded on an ‘either / or’ basis, so you’ll either score 3 points for a Correct Score or just 1 point for a Correct Result, and these are never added together for a 4-point score.

Tie-Breaker: in the event of 2+ entrants being tied as winners for the Gameweek, the overall winner of the weekly prize will be decided by a tie-breaker. In order to do this, we ask that you also post your prediction for the time at which the first goal of the Gameweek will be scored. Nearest the pin wins!

The Rules… 1 entry per person and all entries must be submitted prior to the first match of the Gameweek. Once all the matches have been played, we’ll calculate the scores, and the winner(s) will be announced in the following Gameweek’s competition article: each winner will walk away with an FF247-branded pen.

• tell us who you think will be the First Goalscorer of the Gameweek; and
• follow it with your guess for the time of this first goal (to give yourself a fighting chance in a tie-breaker situation).
