Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW2
Welcome to Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW2. You have probably noticed the change in name and that Rosco and I are no longer known as Barry and Paul. The reason for this name change is out of respect for one of Britain’s greatest comedians, Barry Chuckle who unfortunately passed away last week. This meant we needed a new duo and there are many out there to choose from but it was decided that we needed to pick a duo that really represented us so we went with Harry Dunne and Lloyd Christmas better known as Dumb and Dumber! We’ll let you decide on who’s who!
Last week saw the return of the Premier League and resulted in the first winner of the maiden Harry and Lloyd’s, Goal Machine, on a whopping 19 points with Labyrinth in 2nd with 16 points and Silvers and Mr. Bean in 3rd on 15 points.
Goal Machine email us at contact@fantasyfootball247.co.uk to claim your prize!
For those of you new to the competition, the premise is pretty straightforward; each week we’ll post the following weeks fixtures at the end of the article, cut and paste the fixtures and add your prediction at the end of each like so:
Manchester United v Leicester 2-0
Not like this:
Manchester United 2 v Leicester 0
We’ll reveal the weekly winner in the following weeks article and each week our winner will walk away with a FF247 branded t-shirt! We’ll also have an overall league table which we’ll update on a monthly basis.
Scoring couldn’t be simpler:
Correct Score = 3 points
Correct result = 1 point
Correct First Goal scorer of the game-week = 5pts
(Points are awarded on an ‘either or’ basis, so you’ll either score 3 points for a Correct Score or 1 point for a Correct Result, these are never added together for a 4 point score.)
Tie-Breaker
In the event that two or more members are tied as winners for the week the overall winner of the t-shirt will be decided by a tie-breaker.
In order to do this we ask that you also post your prediction of the time that the first goal of the week will be scored at. Nearest the pin wins.
This Week’s Comp…
The rules are few; 1 entry per person, and all entries must be submitted prior to the first game of the game-week. Kick-off this week comes on Saturday at 11:30. Once all the games have been played, we’ll count up the scores and the winner(s) will be announced in the following weeks competition article.
So just to recap all you need to do is
– Copy and paste the fixtures from below and pop your score prediction on each.
– Tell us who you think will be the first goal scorer of the week (and that can be from any game regardless of your other predictions)
– Add in your time of the first goal of the week for any potential tie-breaker situation.
Here are the fixtures, best of luck to you all!

Hey Offalymartin, I made this mistake last week. You have to pick a player from the 1st match of a gw.
It would actually be fine in this case, Gavy, as he has predicted the 12.30 to be goalless, and therefore Vardy could be the first scorer of the week!
Wouldn’t matter if he’d predicted 10-10 in the first game. If Vardy still scores first he gets the points regardless. It’s a separate prediction.
‘tell us who you think will be the first goal scorer of the week‘
Stick in italics. Stick in Latin for all I care mate. If Vardy scores the first goal this week he’s the first goal scorer this week.
Yeah, I’ve got it now. I was just following Matt’s orders to Gavy last week 😆
Cheers Gavy. I didn’t realize that, thought it was ok once I predict 0-0 in early kick off.
It is okay! And it would technically be fine even if you hadn’t predicted 0-0! See Rosco’s comment below.
Just for clarification, you can predict who you want to score the first goal, for example you could predict:
Cardiff v Newcastle 0-362
First scorer : Salah
This is totally acceptable. Just because you predict Newcastle to win it doesn’t mean they will. Just because you predict 362 goals for the toon, it still could end up goalless. If anything, choosing a score result for the first match of the GW,and a ‘first scorer’ from another match that starts later that GW is actually not such a bad move, as in essence it’s ‘spreading your bets’
But just to clarify, when we say first scorer we don’t mean ‘fastest goal scored in any match’ we literally mean the first scorer of the GW so more often than not, if there is an early match, and you don’t think it’ll end nill nill then pick a player from that match. If you want to spend your bets, fill your boots.
Gotcha. But who spreads bets? The wet wipes
That’s an ‘elleism’ I believe it’s trademarked.. you may need to ‘Lawyer up’ 😉
I’m sufficiently lawyered up to know I’m fine in using it 😉
AT, go get your own terms for people. Yer gook.
Rosco
The 0-362 theory is nonsense!
Newcastle won’t keep a clean sheet.
:cigar:
Seriously! Let’s not go exaggerating Rosco! Keep it sensible…
Hahahahaha best comment yet! Mike drop!!
All I know is you can pick whomever you bleeding like. Pick Carragher to come down from the commentary box to score for all I care. If they are the first scorer then I’ll give you be points if not then you will be getting nothing! :hippo:
362 goals for ‘The Toon’. :big-lol:
Cardiff v Newcastle 1-1
Everton v Southampton 2-0
Leicester v Wolves 2-2

Burnley v Watford 0-2
Man City v Huddersfield 4-0
Brighton v Man United 0-2
Crystal Palace v Liverpool 0-3
First goal Lascelles 32
Lascelles!!!!!!!!
Come Saturday morning I’ll probably be writing Matt saying, “wtf?! How’d it autocorrect ‘Kennedy’ to ‘Lascelles’???”
Hahahah
Oh dear oh dear…..
Glass raised to Barry Elliot

I gotta say this all looks a bit weird. Barry dies. Then you decide to suddenly switch identities. And yet there’s now only one of you with ‘Rosco’ (Barry) suddenly AWOL?! Hmmmm. He seemed alright all day in Manchester until ‘Matt’ (Paul) turned up. And then suddenly became sleepy. Now I’m no Columbo but………
Anyway, here’s mine Matt,
you murdering b@stardthanksCardiff v Newcastle 1-1
Everton v Southampton 2-0
Leicester v Wolves 2-1

Burnley v Watford 1-1
Man City v Huddersfield 4-0
Brighton v Man United 0-2
Crystal Palace v Liverpool 0-2
Perez – 18
Hahah we’ve got ourselves a great caper! Rosco says he’ll be on the west coast (guessing California). I’m betting it’s really Matt who stole his password and is trying to throw the feds off the case. We have any members in Cali to corroborate the story? Chins may be the closest! I might be second…
I can confirm I will be on the west Coast, don’t try ‘find my iphone’ as I’ve lent it to Matt who will be relaxing on his newly paved back pateo whilst I’m away 😉
What are you talking about? I plead the fifth as I have done nothing wrong. Now excuse me while I put away my gardening tools.
Cardiff v Newcastle 0-2
Everton v Southampton 2-0
Leicester v Wolves 1-1

I feel you’re not taking this game seriously, No clean sheet for Obi- Wan-Bis? Ridiculous. 😉
GP you should have trademarked your quip!! #havingthat
