We finally get to the end of what felt like one of the longest gameweeks in FPL history. 11 days from the first fixture to the last fixture yet our next gameweek starts in just over 24 hours! One would feel it would have been better to join GW25 with the Merseyside derby but alas, we are finished now and what a way to finish.

A farewell to Goodison Park that was extremely befitting, the prodigal manager, Moyes back at the helm, late goals, scuffles off the ball and FOUR red cards! All to end in of course a 2-2 draw! I would have taken the draw before the game and myself and Elleffcee have been predicting last nights game would be a tough draw for weeks!

You will be forgiven if you’ve forgotten what happened elsewhere as it was so long ago so here’s a quick refresh. Forest put SEVEN past Brighton to start us off, Southampton got a much needed win over Ipswich with 1-2, Arsenal smashed City 5-1 and United lost once again to Palace 0-2.

It was a very low scoring and tight affair in H&L this week with no one getting double digits – in fact, no one got above 7 points! We had four managers tied for first place this week with Gear, Ivantheterrible, Inittowinit and MBD all on 7 points so we needed to go to our tiebreaker. No one correctly predicted that Dunk would get the FGS for his OG but there was one manager who was 1 minute off the correct time, Ivantheterrible! But WAIT – he didn’t win because someone correctly predicted the exact minute of the FGS and snatched victory… GEAR! Extremely tight this week!

THIS WEEK’S COMPETITION… scoring couldn’t be much simpler:

• Correct Score —> 3 points;
• Correct Result —> 1 point; and
• Correct First Goalscorer of the Gameweek —> 5 points.

To clarify, this is who you think will score the first goal of the entire Gameweek, not just in any given match that you choose to pick yourself!

Points above are awarded on an ‘either / or’ basis, so you’ll either score 3 points for a Correct Score or just 1 point for a Correct Result, and these are never added together for a 4-point score.

Tie-Breaker: in the event of 2+ entrants being tied as winners for the Gameweek, the overall winner of the weekly prize will be decided by a tie-breaker. In order to do this, we ask that you also post your prediction for the time at which the first goal of the Gameweek will be scored. Nearest the pin wins!

The Rules… 1 entry per person and all entries must be submitted prior to the first match of the Gameweek. Once all the matches have been played, we’ll calculate the scores, and the winner(s) will be announced in the following Gameweek’s competition article: each winner will walk away with an FF247-branded pen.

• tell us who you think will be the First Goalscorer of the Gameweek; and
• follow it with your guess for the time of this first goal (to give yourself a fighting chance in a tie-breaker situation).
