Interactive Fantasy Football Fixture Tracker 2015-16
It’s that time again folks; T minus two weeks or so and counting! Many FPL players pick their initial team based chiefly on last season’s form, others on as many big names as possible (with the necessary accompanying threadbare bench), while yet others have a noticeable bias towards players from their supported team (Kop does NOT approve!). The serious FPL player will select their starting 15 based on a wide range of factors however, not least of which are the fixtures.
With that in mind I’ve updated and improved the season-long tracker a few people seemed to find useful last year. This lets you choose how difficult each fixture is and displays appropriate colours as an easy visual guide – much like the tracker on the site except that it shows the whole season and is interactive. I’ll give a brief outline of how it works here but there are instructions in the tracker too and there’s a link to a video explaining it at the bottom.
You start by grouping together teams of similar ability, such as putting Arsenal, Chelsea, City and United in Level 1. Last season you could put teams in 4 different groups, but now you can place them in anything from 3 to 10 groups depending on how detailed you want to get. This way you could even have Chelsea in a category all on their own if you consider them to be that much better than their rivals for example.
Next comes the other upgrade from the first tracker – last season you were limited to having 5 colours represent the different matches, but now you can choose between 3, 5 or 7. After you make your choice you will then decide how difficult you rate each match between teams of different groups. When you have finished you can select the Fixtures Tab and all of the colours there will have updated to be specific to your own ratings. These can be changed as often as you like, and indeed should be updated as the season goes on to account for changes in teams’ forms.
The link to the tracker itself is here:

Thanks “Calvin”. You even did a video! Bloody hell. Nice work. It sounds like you said “Callum” though, can you confirm? Thanks. Been eagerly anticipating this. I used it a lot last year.
If you listen carefully I actually say “hey Bry, here:” :finger:
Haha glad you like it mate.
I keep playing around, luckily they’re all free transfers right now! What do you all think of this team so far?
Hi Igy,
My research so far has been limited, but my inital critique is this – Morgan unlikely to be around for a few weeks – Ranieri has said he wants him back only when fresh and hungry and will have a good holiday after the Gold Cup. Janmaat has tricky fixtures to start with but looks a great pick from GW8. Clyne has some toughie away games. Can’t argue with your midfield. Strikers are tricky – not sure I’d want both Memphis and Rooney, while Benteke the feeling seems to be 50/50 at the mo as to how he will do – I actually think he’ll do well and is a great pick for 8.5mln.
Thanks Cookie! I wasn’t aware of the Morgan situation, could always switch to Huth or another 4.5 defender so that’s an easy fix. I like to pick defenders who play right or left back as they tend to offer more potential with assists. Could always switch Janmaat to Cedric. I was considering whether to keep Memphis and Rooney but not sure who I would bring in as a replacement for either. I am hoping Benteke does well and am probably willing to give him a shot to start. It’s hard to get anyone more expensive without compromising the midfield.
Igy, Rooney to Kane?
RMT!
KP – I’d get Rudd in to back up Ruddy, first off. Defence does seem light to me especially with Hoban in there. Watford are on a one team mission to snap up every iffy defender in Europe just now so Hoban’s spot looks dodgy. I don’t know if Cook is a first team player but, if he is, then surely play him ahead of Alderweireld in GW1? Triple Southampton does seem a bit over the top to me too.
Hi NIN, please explain the logic of Ruddy and Rudd – I’ve seen a few teams with them both and I really don’t get why anyone would want them both – aside from cost, of course.
I imagine the only reason is cost. If possible I’d have their 3rd, 4th and 5th keepers in my squad too. Rud, Ru and R.
Allo allo. Might as well spend £4m on the GK that will replace Ruddy if he gets injured/suspended rather than a backup GK from another team, who’s unless paired with his team-mate. Nobody likes using a FT on a GK, although, having said that, i’m trying to squeeze in a £5m + £4m myself. Risky.
Cookie, ol’ buddy, ol’ pal. I am going with Hennesey and Speroni to fund my front line.
I get the cost thing, and I have done similar myself in the past, although it was the 2 Southampton keepers when Boruc was injured. But Norwich have little chance of clean sheets, so it’s likely save points only. Don’t really see the point, but then again I’ve done a load of stupid ff things in the past, so probably shouldn’t comment
Hoof, Henessey I get if he gets his move to West Brom and may start.
Cookie – Yep, i agree with all of that. CS’s are unlikely but a lot of save points are guaranteed, you’d imagine. Pantilimon & Adrian showed the power of save points last season i think. I prefer two GK’s who work well together myself but at the same time, i’m open to one of these cheap double up’s like Norwich or Leicester., or, a 5m + 4m route.
I’m not convinced.
Benteke is great value at 8.5 now .
agreed Ant
Quick question:
I know that Aguerooooooooooooo is lacking match fitness, but why is everyone so against putting them in their team? Wasn’t it the same last season, he came in as a sub, played 20 minutes and scored two goals in the first match?
I think people are just waiting for more news from Pelligrini to be honest, Hoof. I know he delivered last season, but it’s a lot of money to gamble on someone that may or may not start the season.
I get you. I feel the same about Depay. Goodness know how to solve the conundrum when Sanchez is fit.
Hi Hoof. Yeah, he got minimal game time at the start of last season but still got 6 points in each of the first two games. I think the difference this season is that he’s dearer to start with, and City play Chelsea in GW2. It seems logical to start without him, let him get up to speed for a game or two, then jump on him in GW3/4. Also, Chelsea absolutely hammered Swansea last season, 9-2 over two league games, so it looks like a fixture to attack.
Ok, I give in. I vowed not to utter these three mortal words, but the temptation is too much. Please ‘Rate My Team’.
From what I can see Bry, it looks great 😉
Any way to make it just a tiny bit larger? HAHAH
From the colours I can see it looks a lot like mine aha
Bryan – Agree with AT haha I can barely read that. I can see Courtois in there, Hazard, and… that’s about it 😛
Bryan,
Is this rate my postage stamp?
Pass. :noshake:
What is this, Fantasy Amoeba?
What is this, fantasy football for ants?
:big-lol:
…it needs to be at least… 3 times bigger!
Thanks a lot for the Tracker by the way Calvin. Looks like it’ll be a great help!
Hahaha, nice one 😉
jamesimmo, you beat me to it! Just
Thanks for your feedback guys. Sorry about the sizing error. Feel a bit sheepish about that! Here’s the enlarged version.
Well when you give someone a put-down it would help if it was under the correct comment wouldn’t it! #doneasilver
