Live Match Chat FA Cup Special FPL News
Welcome to Live Match Chat FA Cup Special FPL News. This weekend sees the 5th round ties for the FA Cup, meaning that it is a FPL-free weekend. However, FPL-free does not signify FPL-irrelevant far from it. If you scan through the fixtures listed below you will see eight Premier League teams are left in the competition and bizarrely all eight have been kept apart in the draw. Now a closer scan of those fixtures will show that all eight top tier teams are firm favourites to win their tie – possibly Leicester being the less obvious. We have banged on about GW28 for weeks now – and this is when we get to find out exactly how disrupted GW28 will be as that is when the 6th round of the FA Cup will be played. At present only three fixtures are guaranteed for GW28 and if results go as expected in the Cup, then those three fixtures will be our sole game-week interest.
Therefore, keep a close eye on this weekend’s games to see how GW28 will pan out and also to keep an eye on potential transfers and injuries etc.
We talk about about things going as expected, but of course life doesn’t always turn out like that does it? Look at Brexit, President Trump, Arsenal losing to Bayern in the round of 16…….
….the FA Cup really can produce some upsets and maybe, just maybe some Premier League teams may get beaten by lower level opposition. Who would ever have predicted lowly Bournemouth humbling holders Man Utd in 1984, reigning league champions Arsenal losing to Wrexham who were bottom of the the old fourth division in 1992, non-league Sutton knocking out Coventry in 1989, Ronnie Radford’s famous goal leading Hereford to upsetting Newcastle or indeed Wimbledon beating the then mighty Liverpool on the biggest stage of all at Wembley in 1988?
See below this weekend’s fixtures and to the right of each fixture the GW28 match which is at risk if the Premier League team win this weekend.
FPL carnage! Love it.

Carra taking the piss
Hahaha classic
Morning lads, with Burnley v Liverpool on I reckon I’ll do as I see many of you suggesting, bringing Mane in for Sanchez. I looked at FFFix and fplstatistics and Mane is set to rise tonight on FFFix but not on fplstatistics. He may reach 100% on fplstatistics but if he doesn’t, which of these sites is the most reliable in your experience?
Both been an inconsistent as each other lately.
Interesting.
Once Pedro was subbed, Azpi went in to form a 3 man defence at the same time allowing Ake to move forward taking what originally is Alonso’s position.
Onlly interesting if Alonso injures himself. 😉
Anyone making any transfers tonight?
Evening, by the way.
Not tonight but I am thinking about Mane for Sanchez. Can wait for the prezzers though to make sure I have 11 playing.
That move makes a load of sense to me Robbo.
Oops…butterfingers! I just went ahead and did it.
How does it look? I’ve now got £4.1m ITB to play with when I replace two or all of Crouch, Phillips & Fraser.
Looks good to me Robbo. Shall we Capo him too?
Rosco – what you reckon?
Now way I’m captaining him – Lukaku is going to better the hat trick he got away to Sunderland when they visit Goodison!
I’m thinking of doing Sanchez to Mane but not sure if I should wait. Sanchez had already dropped on me and Mane is due to go up .. worth waiting?
I did it last night
cookie you’re my hero! Ha ha you’re like Barkley celebrating before he scored, busting out that move even before pool were confirmed for 28! Sod it im doing it!
Wish I’d done it last night now! I’ll be joining the bandwagon this evening.
I did mine last Sat
Cookie..Did Sanchez to Mane this morning..Much content with the decision i mus say

Nice one. Cheers Init.
I’d be interested to hear people’s thoughts on number of players required for GW28 now. I’ll comfortably have 8 or 9.
11 if Fulham do the business tomorrow!
13 if Fulham do it. 2 of those are keepers mind you.
Too many games are on. Darnit.
As for Mane, is it worth to do Sanchez to Mane for a hit?
Probably dependent on who your other subs are, but I can see Mane running riot against Leicester.
Current team:
Foster
Coleman-Baines-Holebas-Smith
Snoddy-Phillips-Alli
Lukaku-Costa-Kane
Bench
Jaku-Fletcher-Pieters-Sanchez
Raz, I’d go for it mate, Leicester are there for the taking though its a bit of a lottery as to which Liverpool mid is best to get!
