    Gear says:

Anyone thinking about bring in Caballero?

I’ve got Schmeichel so it’d be a straight swap. The dilemma is this: Get him and Pep buys a new keeper / Don’t get him and he goes up in value…

      TheDreamers says:

Gear – is Schmeichel your only keeper? presume zero itb?

      lukealike says:

no way man, I watched the game and I took from it that he is no where near good enough. Especially if they want to be competing for titles. Either Joe Hart is going to make it back in go or he is going to sign a new keeper. Maybe Caballero will make another appearance idk but it wont last, Caballero couldnt catch much he was just palming them straight back out and, against the wrong team that is going to cost goals Pep surely knows that

      • TheDreamers says:

hey Luke – how realistic though is it that he will get a new keeper and that keeper will start straight away? He hardly dropped Hart for just the first game. I agree with you re Caballero btw.

        • lukealike says:

I have no idea who he would or could sign and it will seem rushed, I coulda told him 3 months ago he needed a new keeper if he wants to play it out from the back. IDK why they left it so late, I’m sure Joe Hart will be ok for them this season but they shoulda looked to changing him sooner. I don’t rate Hart, but he is surely better then Caballero

        • lukealike says:

Either way its good news, Joe Hart needs a kick up the ass as does Sterling. I hope for Englands sake Pep brings the best out of both of them, and Stones…

      • Gear says:

Thanks for the feedback, away at the moment so haven’t seen any of footy.

    Good morning everyone.

Great to to have the football back isn’t it?

Valencia, Ibrahimovic, Firmino today then Terry tomorrow. I like a weekend where I have fantasy interest every day. smile

    AT says:

Anyone see the Leicester game at greater length than on MOTD? If so, were they defensively as poor as two goals against Hull would suggest?

Wondering what to do with my FT/about benching Morgan.

Minus Foster sitting pretty on my bench I’m pleased with a score of 46 with some heavy hitters still to play.

      lukealike says:

One of the goals would have definitely been avoided had Kante been there, both Morgan and Drinkwater lost the guy who scored, both ball watching neither watching him. Kante would have been there for that IMO. Morgan will be on my bench next week with Amat starting for me instead.
They will probably get a few CS but nothing like the end of last season. Morgan was playing in a different position though

      • lukealike says:

and Amat was very close to scoring yesterday and he got a CS so I will see how he goes for now

      • AT says:

Cheers Luke. I had Amat too – how annoying to see so many points on my bench! Would have been a very good day indeed if I’d played the pair of them.

        • lukealike says:

same here, we were all worried about starting cheap subs. Well starting wasn’t the issue, some of them were the highest scorer’s of GW1 so far, unreal lol. Im so glad I don’t have sub issues though cause almost all of them are 4.0’s I have. As I mentioned earlier I’m playing with the idea of AOA so I can play Diomande next week and Gray, seems like a waste but rarely do I have a good sub option to come on. And I dont really value that chip not even in a double gameweek

        • Matt says:

Luke GW4 could be a good time to play AOA with Hull and Burnley playing eachother could be a few goals there.

        • AT says:

I didn’t even use that chip last year

        • lukealike says:

Yea good idea Matt I might hold fire on that

        • Matt says:

No worries mate I hate the AOA chip too think it’s bloody pointless. If they brought in a chip that we could swap one player on our team with one on our bench it could be better.

    • 155.2
      Matt says:

I watched the whole game but Luke says it all. Except Morgan didn’t play in much a different position instead of playing RCB he played LCB which shouldnt have effect him that much.

    xaoc says:

Morning, chaps! Hope you all got off to a good start. I am quite happy – 60 pts with Shaw, Ibra and Hazard yet to play. Too many points on the bench, but will help to build value in the long term.

Since I could not watch Hull yesterday, how did Diomande do in general? Do you think it is worth the punt of downgrading Wickham to him and free up some funds?

    • 156.1
      lukealike says:

Hmmm is my team linked now, I will let you guys laugh at my team this season

      • Matt says:

Yeah it’s linked Luke. You could still end up with a very good score with the players you have left.

        • lukealike says:

cool, yea really hoping Sanchez smashes it today. Not many people have him, but not many people don’t have Kun either :/

        • Matt says:

Haha personally I hope Sanchez smashes every shot over the bar!! Yeah going without Kun was a bold move but if your midfield does the job then it’s a move that pays off.

        • lukealike says:

Yea its probably just an experiment for a few weeks until I wild card, he is always in my team and he cripples it especially with the other guys like Ibra, Hazard and Sanchez. If he only scores one a game then its fine with me, just hopefully not braces or hattis, then I have made the wrong decision.
In terms of your suggestion about AOA and another chip. Yea I made a post yesterday which got lost, but I was saying also that they should get rid of AOA and make a new chip. You actually activate it after the gameweek starts and you can choose to swap players form your bench with your starting XI, and you can only uae it while the GW is live so you have from GW start deadline until 4 hours after the last match to use it.
AOA is useless IMO and they just needed a third chip and couldn’t think of any other ideas so shoved that in, you can almost guarantee that when you use it your defender gets a CS and your mid or striker gets a blank.

        • Matt says:

Yeah I agree with you the AOA chip seems like a chip they just threw in there last minute maybe if a load of people emailed and suggested dumping the AOA and changing the chip they might listen. Haha

        • lukealike says:

I tried to email them yesterday complaining about the changes to the site lmao, when I tried to send the email it wouldn’t send and just kept opening google chrome lmao. So the same guys who messed up the site have also messed up the feedback form, priceless

        • Matt says:

Haha yeah they obviously knew people weren’t happy so didn’t want to hear about it.

    • 156.2
      Matt says:

Brilliant score xaoc!! I wouldn’t downgrade to Dio yet he was pretty attacking but Hull overall will more than likely find it hard this season so maybe just keep an eye on Diomande as he was lucky to get the goal it basically just flicked his studs after Hernandez kicked the ball.

      • xaoc says:

Thanks Matt! Too early to plan any transfers anyway.

Actually, at this point I will not switch any of my mids as Redmond, Lalana and Mahrez scored yesterday. And Hazard is well… Hazard.

Deffence also looks promising, especially if City also start racking up cleen sheets and Stones keeps his place. And I am soooo happy for going De Gea > Foster as it actuallly gave me the funds to upgrade the mid.

P.S. what was the trick of linking your profile to your username here?

        • lukealike says:

Linking team – go to the help page up top and the fifth option down explains how to do it

        • Matt says:

Yeah I won’t be making any changes till Friday night maybe Saturday morning but it’s always good to have an idea what I want to do.

Basically to link your team you go onto the Game week History page and copy that link then paste that link into your account here.

        • praveen says:

Matt we have a friday game next gw mate.. u could wait until thursday night or friday morning..

    • 156.3
      lukealike says:

Snodgrass was probably their best player, Diomande had an ok game. When he scored it was a mirror bicycle kick with two hull players both kicking the ball in identical fashion it looked really cool but was hit n miss wihether it was Diomandes goal or not. Right place, right time it could have been.
Anyone is a better option then Place attack though, they only won 2 games in 26 for 2016 or something, that is damning. Relegation fodder if they don’t sign a striker soon.
Wait til we have seen all games, someone like Carrol may be a better option

      • AT says:

I’m confident they will sign a striker. Pardew wants two!

      • xaoc says:

6,5 strikers are not in my bracket, mate. Otherwise I would have started with Negredo. My other option is going for Stones, Shaw and two 4,5 defenders in order to bring him in (or in other words, downgrade Morgan). I am even tempted to do it now and face a 4pt hit as Negredo will probably increase in price by next GW.
