know that it is too early but would it be wise to drop Batshuayi
We are assuming here that he starts on the bench for the 1st few games
If so then who should I replace him with?
    My team is:
    Stekelenburg, Jakupovic
    Cedric, Kingsley, Simpson, Walker, Nsue
    Mkhitaryan, Coutinho, Cook, Mahrez, Lamela
    Batshuayi, Aguero, Long

My FT is still in place

Morning / Afternoon / Evening all,

My plan all along was to go for it with AOA in Week 1 and then wildcard in week 2. (mainly based on the fact i couldn’t be arsed properly researching any of the fixtures other than week 1). Reading through the posts on here though, i’m now thinking maybe i’ll delay for a bit.

I am interested in everyone’s view on Ibra though. I don’t have him in my team and after watching his performance on the weekend, i’m genuinely scared to not bring him in. To be honest i think that was the first time i’d actually watched one of his games for 90 mins. Annoyingly, he looks every bit like he justifies the hype.

So…. Do i take a hit or two to bring him in? Or do i bite the bullet and wildcard? Thought s on both please.

    Current team:
    Schmeichel / Jaku
    Morgan / Valencia / Smith / Paredes / Amat
    Ramirez / Sanchez / Hazard / Townsend / Redmond
    Vardy / Kun / Gray

    Thanks!!

I think your team looks alright. 3 four million defenders maybe a bigger issue but if ur wildcarding soon enough you might get away with it. Paredas won’t play and not sure Smith will

Hi chins, I find early WC strategies a bit odd. One thing is to do it for your plans didnt go accordingly and needs must; but why put In a place a strategy that just wastes it?
I dont see a need to WC other than upgrade your defense but maybe you get away with it for a while.
On the Ibra front it would take a brave man to not go with him. He’s class. And that normally converts into fpl points. You need of course to downgrade one of the cheap mids and looking at them maybe towsend for Fer and Vardy for Zlatan?

      • chins says:

I find your face a bit odd.

Only messing. Yeah, downgrading one of the mids does seem to be the consensus. And i suppose there will be many that miss out on Vardys hatrick against the Goonies. Tough call. I think i’ll be left kicking myself if i don’t do something to get Ibra in. I’m worried by the biggest manc of all (Cookie) not getting him though. That big blue lump has got inside my head and i can’t shake it.

        • DMC says:

Not that tough In my eyes. Vardy is great but he’s no Ibrahimovic. I understand the Kun + Ibra vs more balanced teams conumdrum but not the Kun + Vardy one. If it’s unbalanced , it needs to be the former duo.

Chins, happy birthday, hope you have a good one! You have a nice front 8 but, by going with double Leicester defence and 3 x 4.0m lads, you’ve kinda sentenced yourself to that early WC in my eyes.

It was fine for GW1 but no more. Tap dat button and get yourself the likes of Coutinho and Baines (will kick off soon I think) in as well as Zlatan.

      • chins says:

        Cheers James,

All this lovely advice is helping on one hand but making it harder on the other. I’ll have a birthday beer tonight and see what happens. Just as long as it doesn’t go the way of a few years ago where i woke up with Obertan in my team.

Hit for you this week Mitro?

        • Mitro says:

Smash – I want to bring in zlatan but I think Kane could do well this weekend so I’m probably going to shift either gray or Morgan. What you got planned?

        • Smash10 says:

Yeah you were on the fence about Zlats. I’m going to try and hold. On 65 points with Hazard to go. I’ll keep an eye on transfers. Think I’m ok with Gray for now. Maybe a bit concerned by Mahrez. My defence is cheap and pretty rubbish though

I have no idea what was going through my head when I popped Batshuayi in but Watch, he comes in and smashes a brace, scores big points like the other 2 players that I popped in on the final hour (Coutinho, Lamela)

Now that Palace have sold Bolasie can they please hurry up and sign Benteke now so I can finally have my three stickers. Agüero Ibrahimovic Benteke is the way to go IMO

Courtois; Ivanovi?, Cahill, Terry, Azpilicueta; Kanté; Willian, Mati?, Oscar, Hazard; Costa.
