Decent gameweek, 68 points. How have you guys done?

Gameweek score of 49 which isn’t great! Looking at this team is there anything jumping out that need attention? I’m always one to WC early and always say I won’t do it! Do you think Coutinho, Hazard and Lamela will be better options than Firmino, Oscar and Alli?

Is that your current team or WC team?

I’d keep Firmino but would consider swapping Alli and Oscar for Hazard and Lamela.
I’m regretting not getting Hazard in now.

Hey igy, I have Firmino and Alli as well and while it’s tempting to grab this week’s heroes I’m not planning on making any moves until we see at least another match. On another gameweek both Firmino and Alli could get the points and Coutinho and Lamela could blank. Lamela is certainly an interesting idea though as he had a couple good chances and if he keeps looking good that’s a great option to generate some money and keep Spurs cover.

Hazard is another story though and I think he’s going to be an important player for Chelsea and in FPL. If I didn’t already have him I’d be looking to get him in sooner rather than later!

Hi Red! Thanks for the advice! It’s a tough one and I really have to stop myself from taking points hits, I did it far too often last year! I’d love to get Hazard in place of Oscar but would obviously have to free up funds elsewhere which would likely be a cheap 3rd forward, then look to switch either Alli or Firmino to get the last bit of funds!

        • RedVT says:

Igy, sounds like the best bet is to hold fire and save up that transfer if you don’t have any major problems or injuiries. Once we see another match you’ll have a better idea of the form players and can use your 2 free transfers to make some big moves. That’s my plan anyway. I’m keeping my eye on Lamela and if Vardy blanks again and Ibra scores, I may go Alli and Vardy out for Lamela and Ibra. Really hope I don’t have to though, I’d rather hold onto Vardy and spend the money elsewhere TBH. I think he can keep pace with Ibra points-wise over the season. But only if he’s in form and firing!

Thanks Red! Yeah I think I’ll give it one more week before making any big moves! All three of my mids could easily score in the next game and I’d be kicking myself for using the WC! I’m happy I have Ibra and Aguero up top to start with! I didn’t really consider Leicester players to start with, although had Vardy and Mahrez for most of last season. Will keep tabs on the midfield as I think I have a decent strike force and don’t want the mids to be my downfall.

67 points first week. Pretty happy with that and no major transfers needed for week 2.

I’m close to confirming Mahrez —–> Coutinho tonight. Very close. Profit!

Arsenal are shite though and Mahrez is on penalties. Probably foolish.

    Happy with Hazard at least!

Any one any ideas on who I could transfer out Ramsey for? Looked today and he could be out for up to 3 weeks.
He’s 8.0m and I’ve got 0.5m in the bank. I was thinking Pogba for some sort of United midfield cover, but not certain he’ll start next week!
