Chelsea travel to Manchester City in what many are calling a title decider. It’s not, of course, but it will have a bearing on the final outcome and more importantly it will have many implications for fantasy managers. Will Yaya continue his phenomenal run, will Dzeko or Negredo step up to fill Aguero’s tiny boots or will Chelsea park the bus in 19th Century fashion?!

  1. Far better return than expected (Ivanovic & Oscar), particularly when I saw Oscar was on the bench.

    • Oscar got 1 point. HOw the hell can you be happy with that? Unless you have -points on the bench. >.<

  2. Some thought on Jovetic, Dzeko and Negredo…

    Both Dzeko and Negredo looked bad tonight. Both of them were lazy, worked little, and were generally uninvolved in the match. It’s worth noting that Dzeko was better than Negredo, though that doesn’t say much.

    Jovetic looked like he played CAM as he was considerably deeper than Dzeko. He made a lot of dribbles and rarely lost the ball. He didn’t get to many chances though – he had that one dangerous shot late in the match and another poor one, that’s the ones I remember. As I predicted he adds another dimension to City’s attack with his playing style, the kind of dimension that neither Dzeko nor Negredo will provide. I wouldn’t be surprised if he starts the next match.

    • When Kun is injured Jovetic and Negredo should play. Negredo links up well with Silva/Kun so the combo Jovetic/Silva/Negredo would be the best in my opinion.

      • I agree, Silva and Jovetic doing the creative work and Negredo doing the finishing.

        • When Kun was fit he did most of the finishing. Negredo did a lot of work for the team whereas Dzeko scores more but is a lot more egocentric. Anyway, got to go.

      is he worth the gamble….mmmm dunno. need to see him playing more, but maybe…?
      but im in the market for a 3rd striker alongside sas.
      eto gamble not paying off…. so any other ideas?

  4. Bad fpl result personally :p but good for the premiership – keeps it a 3-way race (with the Merseyside clubs still in semi-contention). For fpl, thinking about it not very much difference I guess – many people would’ve dropped Chelsea defenders.
