Live Match Chat Gameweek 12 FPL News
Welcome to Live Match Chat Gameweek 12 FPL News: A two week gap in FPL can seem like an eternity, especially when you have to watch the international games knowing that you’re precious assets are literally risking injury at every turn. Thankfully it’s now over and we can return to normality this weekend. All the worry over whether Sanchez / Hazard / Costa / ‘insert your player name here’ is either fit / injured / on a plane / missed a plane / drunk / ‘insert daft rich player behaviour here’, is almost over. This is a rare PL weekend as we have a grand total of 8 games on Saturday. GW12 itself begins on Saturday lunchtime as Manchester United host Arsenal and runs all the way through to Monday evening when the excitement will surely reach a crescendo with West Brom hosting Burnley. You can almost taste the sarcasm in that one. In between those the title race hots up as new leaders Liverpool visit Southampton at the same time that most peoples early favourites Man City hit the road to visit Lord Pardew of Palace. Elsewhere Lukaku will be a much captained hero or zero, as he always is, as Everton entertain Swansea before Spurs and West Ham bring Saturday to a close with a London derby. After an unusually busy first day, Sunday will feel a bit sparse with just the one game, which sees the Chelsea juggernaut travel north and it’ll probably plough straight on through Middlesbrough without stopping before returning back down south with 3 points and another handful of goals and FPL points in its back pocket. Cherish it though, as then there’s Monday…

Morning all !! Anybody else considering Aguero to Kane Gw 14 ? Tricky fixtures ahead and fear of rotation over The Xmas period plus the only fixture where he is a standout captain option is the Watford at home in gw16 when Spurs are at home to Hull !! Personally it would give me the cash to then upgrade Lukaku to Costa in Gw15 and to bring Alonso in and triple up on Chelsea !! Love to hear a debate on this !
Also would add I would always only be only 2 transfers away from bringing him back if need be.Plus my terrible current rank kinda calls for some calculated gambles !!!
Take the hit!!
Only joking, it’s a tough one mate! I wouldn’t do it as I would be hiding behind on the settee every time Kun played – but both strikers are fixture proof
You know you will want to come Gw 14…… !! I’m going to talk you into it !!
Lol!
What happens if Kun bangs in a hattrick in GW13?
So will i for this week but Burnley are a different proposition at home.Couldnt even be arsed to watch it…..
With Bubbles home defensive record I’ll have you a wager that he doesn’t !!
Bubbles ?? Ffs Burnley !!
Brooky – after what I have just saw from Burnley I will be sticking with the little man!!
Ffs sake see above
I certainly am Brooky.
My GW14 transfer will be Kun & Benteke to Costa & Kane. It will be for a hit as I plan to take a few hits this week as well! I’ll be taking a leaf out of Mitro’s book for the next few weeks
Ahhh good we can sink or swim together then !! I think it’s deffo worth the gamble,if you can call it that. Those upcoming 3 out of 4 home fixtures for Spurs are too good to ignore..We all knock Mitro for his hits but one thing he does is get on players early before they rise in price too much which increases his squad value so much, which come the second half of the season, especially wc,dgw time gives you a major advantage.
I’m already sinking
And I do it very well!!
Saying that I haven’t done a hit since GW7! I feel one is incoming
Same so nothing to lose !!
Thinking I need Kane in my team to try and get a head of the pack, but it would be too risky for agrueo. He could score 3 or 4 in a game and break your heart ? Ive lukaku costa and kun up top. Think lukaku is the man to go. Just need to find the funds now
I hadn’t given it any consideration before, but I definitely am now! That’s a great shout.
I’ve got £1.5m in the bank and so I might keep hold of Aguero and take out Lukaku, with Everton’s fixtures looking so bad. Currently, that’d leave me £0.2m in the bank with a front three of Aguero, Kane and Austin. Whether I do that change next week or this one will depend on the price changes, though.
I would be more conservative.
Kun still scored 3 in the last 3 games, and still is the focal spot of the amazing offensive machine that City can be.
Kane has been lucky to score this week-end. I would wait for a couple of more convincing budget before trying to get him, given his price bracket. His fixtures are tough, and he has the CL in parallel with little probability to be rested.
But I kind of feel that you are decided to take the risk!
more convincing *appearances
No idea why budget came out!
1 FT. 1.2 ITB.
I am thinking about replacing Gundogan. If he is not a sure starter, there is no point having him. Allen atleast guarantees a start. I was thinking about Antonio who is down to 6.8 now. Missed his last match. How did he look in the last match? But he has a very tough fixture ahead. Should I go for him or any alternative?
Your team looks well balanced, just short of being able to afford defoe which would be better. I would hold onto the FT would give you better options next week
Personally, I would try to give Gundogan a little time. He may still be #1 before Yaya, and City is still capable of baging many goals.
Antonio is capable of anything, but indeed has tough fixtures.
I would wait and either store the FT, or get Heaton for Grant (who probably will be back on the bench).
Any thoughts on these 2 options. Ive 2 FT so only a 4 point hit. To be honest id take alot more hits if I thought it would get me on track. Cheers
This is my other option. Or is theres a 3rd to be seen feel free.
Hurricain,
personally I prefer Hazard to Kane. He was brillant while Kane has mostly been lucky so far.
And Kane has a dense schedule with the CL.
Plus, scenario 2 also allows you to get Alonso, so it is a clear call for me: scenario Hazard+Alaonso!
I would avoid Kingsley if possible. He was not even on the bench last week-end.
Hi all,
2 FT, 0.3ITB
I am thinking Lukaku, Marney, Morgan –> Anichebe, Hazard, Guyom (-4, 0.4 ITB).
Anichebe and Haz are due to rise tonight, I need to decide by then!
Thanks
As good as Anichebe has been this week and the last, I don’t know why but I’m still not convinced on him. The other transfers as part of that do look good, however.
Cheers theswirly,
Anichebe would of course be on the bench most of the time. Well, if Gundogan’s play time allows for it!
I think we should have a Mike Dean fixtures bit. With the amount of penalties he has given this season could be useful
Will this team lineup be sufficient? Heavily revised my original plan to incorporate a stringer midfield. I’ll be taking no hits during this time except for Heaton and Kane for the week afters fixtures. And this will allow adequate time for Lallana and Cazorla to return from injury.
Three premium defenders eat up way too much money in a season where barely any team other than Chelsea are keeping CS
United have been known to have a clean sheet here and there. And walker has gone up in value so I don’t want to get rid of him.
Cahill is obvious.
Yes, I would at least exchange Walker for a 4.5 defender.
And then upgrade a 3.9 defender for another 4.5 that rotates well with the first one.
That extra 1M or so will give you flexibility in this 3 or 4 weeks plan.
Personnally, I am not yet convinced that Kane is worth his price tag, but opinions differ on this!
I’m on board with this, with the Christmas period nearly on top of us now ain’t the time to drop down to only three starting defenders, everyone knows that there’ll be rotation sooner or later.
