Welcome to Live Match Chat Gameweek 14 FPL News: Oh dearie me, look what we start the game-week with? ‘A Clash of the Cash’ no less. Two continental firebrand managers at the top of their game and two title contenders going head-to-head. Doesn’t get much juicier than this really. Cue the boring 0-0. Unless Stones plays… in which case captain Costa. 3pm then brings us five games, most notably Pardew’s last, if he makes it there at all, and Spurs entertaining Swansea in a much anticipated goal fest. Cue the 0-0. Yet another London derby sees Saturday out as Arsenal visit West Ham in what should be an entertaining encounter. Sunday sees a Coutinho-less Liverpool try to adjust to life without him as they visit a Bournemouth side who looked impressive last weekend despite losing to Arsenal and the last time they faced a defence as shaky as Klopp’s they hammered Hull 6-1, could be goals in this one. Later on Sunday Rooney checks out his inevitable retirement home, that’s if Jose lets him off the bench. That’s if he’s even on it himself. Or can manage to stay there even if he is. All bets are off. Our game-week closes on Monday with ‘Boro hosting Hull. How or why this one is being televised we don’t quite know, quotas have a lot to answer for, if you somehow own a player from either then you’ll probably still be mildly interested.   1. Sigurdsson or Eriksen? or somebody else altogether? already own Sanchez, Mane, and Hazard.. 9.1 itb for a 4th mid..

        • You’re probably right. If seems every spurs mid is a punt at the mo. At least Erikson is most likely to play 90 every week.

  2. Could I do another poll please folks? Struggling with the ditch Aguero masterplan at the moment:

    1) Lallana, Sanchez, Hazard & Ibrahimovic
    2) Firmino, Sanchez, Hazard & Defoe
    3) Firmino, Walcott, Hazard & Ibrahimovic
    4) Firmino, Sanchez, Pedro & Ibrahimovic

    I do have Costa for Chelsea cover, but no Liverpool, Arsenal or Man U.

      • Cheers Constantine. I really wanna squeeze some Man U cover in there, but with Ibra being the only viable option it means taking a bit hit elsewhere… hmmm.

        • Banjo I will take Mata as a stop gap until Kun returns he seem the only other sensible option

        • If I opt for Mata I need to find a striker for less than 7.0. The other option would be Rashford?

  3. 0.4itb 2ft thinking aguaro to costa before price drops and heaton to courtois. Thoughts?

    • Rogueblood.. I’d do the first and save the ft for later use.

    • Aguero to Costa is certainly sensible. I’d probably use the extra funds to improve the midfield tho. Not convinced Capoue, Matic & Gundogan is sustainable.

  4. Any suggestions? Was thinking Aguero to Kane, Walcott to Sanchez or should I focus on getting stones or Allen out?

    • If you can afford those moves id do them and worry about Stones and Allen later.

      • Stones should be a nailed on starter next week as Otamendi picked up a suspension so he shouldn’t be to much of a concern, although he has been frustrating to own this season.

    • If Kun to Kane and Wally to Sanchez works then I’d just do that and walk away for the week.

      • Still a 4 point hit but I need drastic surgery!

    • What brooky and init in a synchronized way said.
      Sanchez is a must and Kane is or will be very soon.

  5. The interesting thing about the Kun exodus is that nobody is really bothering with a plan to get him back, unlike on his first red card. He then was out only for two games but still.
    This is going to be a hell of an FPL season!

    • DMC that was my first thought but it will take a hit 😉

        • kickers – only dead teams. Why would anyone keep 13.0 roting on the bench for 4 games?

    • Yeah a lot can happen in 4 game weeks. Plus you don’t exactly need him for Liverpool away

      • Made the changes. My luck is that they get injured this week!

    • We’ll have a WC available for that DMC as if it’s a four game ban the only game we’ll miss is Liverpool (A), fitting both Coutinho and Kun into our new year teams would be well worth an early WC in my eyes.

      • I was going to say just this. Place him on the fixture tracker. He due back on the 30th and that’s Liverpool away. Realistically you need him back for Burnley at home. Plenty of time to plan that.

        • I actually probably wouldn’t bring him in for the Burnley match if he plays against Liverpool as it’ll be a high chance of rotation under Pep for a Saturday Monday game, GW 20 looks likely to have the highest rate of rotation on the Christmas calendar this year.

        • He’s not likely to rotate him if he’s not played for over a month.

      • I thought of that too Andy but the second WC is for a DGW in my eyes. At least it paid off last season and I don’t see Sergio doing enough to change that.

        • The second WC is defo best saved for those.

        • Yeah, as well as TC. This is why early 1st WC gets tricky, because you either then cruise all season on FT and ocasional hits or you won’t have the 2nd one for those final but crucial stages of the season. I went early this term (gw4) but I will hold as much as I can for those DGW.

  6. Hey guys, how’s it going? Crazy game week so far, kinda like the chaos to be honest. laugh

    Looking to get some Chelsea cover for next week, anyone think Hazard might be more essential than Costa with a possible knock and 4 yellows? I have no blues at all right now. Thinking Aguero and Chadli out for either Costa and Eriksen, or maybe Defoe and Hazard instead. Any opinions or other ideas? Maybe save the hit and just do Aguero to someone?

    • Hi Red – yeah given that you already have Sanchez and Kane a straight Kun-Costa swap looks the deal. If you fancy Chelsea against WBA at home then I wouldn’t put you off a hit to get Hazard too.

    • Hi Red, wait and see on the Costa news if you can I suppose.

    • If it wasnt for Sunderland playing Swansea next, I’d say definitely Costa and Erickson its just that one game though! bearing in mind Sunderlands next game after is Chelsea then its Watford, Man u, Burnley. Defoe has to get a brace against the Swans hasnt he, maybe a hatty!!!!!
      Disclaimer: I had the choice to get in Defoe for Kun but have gone with Kane instead ::):

    • Thanks guys, much appreciated. Took a chance and got Costa in early. Would love to get Hazard in too somehow, but not sure I can pull it off without some big hits. Who knows though? The way the last couple of weeks have gone, maybe Firmino will be injured, red carded, arrested or abducted by a UFO tomorrow and make it possible!

      • Ehehe I hear you Red. By the look of things this season that’s likely to happen to Costa, now that you’ve brought him!

          Can’t ever remember a season quite like this, it’s been really, really fun so far. Love that there are so many players doing well and no real set template team.
