Live Match Chat Gameweek 14 FPL News

Welcome to Live Match Chat Gameweek 14 FPL News: Oh dearie me, look what we start the game-week with? ‘A Clash of the Cash’ no less. Two continental firebrand managers at the top of their game and two title contenders going head-to-head. Doesn’t get much juicier than this really. Cue the boring 0-0. Unless Stones plays… in which case captain Costa. 3pm then brings us five games, most notably Pardew’s last, if he makes it there at all, and Spurs entertaining Swansea in a much anticipated goal fest. Cue the 0-0. Yet another London derby sees Saturday out as Arsenal visit West Ham in what should be an entertaining encounter. Sunday sees a Coutinho-less Liverpool try to adjust to life without him as they visit a Bournemouth side who looked impressive last weekend despite losing to Arsenal and the last time they faced a defence as shaky as Klopp’s they hammered Hull 6-1, could be goals in this one. Later on Sunday Rooney checks out his inevitable retirement home, that’s if Jose lets him off the bench. That’s if he’s even on it himself. Or can manage to stay there even if he is. All bets are off. Our game-week closes on Monday with ‘Boro hosting Hull. How or why this one is being televised we don’t quite know, quotas have a lot to answer for, if you somehow own a player from either then you’ll probably still be mildly interested. Do yourself a big favour though and slap yourself in the face and ask why you do. Enjoy GW14 with us on Live Match Chat. Costa’s been on 4 for a long time now, he can be surprisingly well behaved when he wants to be!

That was meant to be a reply to you, Red. Bloody tablet.

      • RedVT says:

Haha, thanks banjo! I just did the 1 Costa move and I’ll wait and see what pans out the rest of the week. There’s gonna be too much value lost with Aguero dropping and others rising to wait it out, gotta take a calculated risk. Looked like he was well enough to jog over to the melee at the end of the match, hopefully that’s a good sign!

    Evening guys,
Thought I was having a good gameweek until the West Ham v Arsenal match and then not owning Sanchez cost me big time. Hoping Mane does the business at Bournemouth now to try and make some ground. Glad to see some great scores on here though!

Am I crazy for considering Aguero to Carroll?

This would free up funds for Walcott to Sanchez & Allen to Mata.

Are there any better forward options below 7.0 (excluding Austin)?

Is Carroll going to get a run in the team now? Their fixtures are quite nice between now and the January wildcard.

Iheanacho could be option for the next four games with Aguero being banned, he’s got three goals and two assists in his four appearances of 45+ minutes this season, however I’m not to sure if he’s nailed on to be the lone striker in that Citeh squad, sane could be a option for that role and I thought he looked good today.

Hi all, another good week for all that captained Sanchez, looks like a few of us changed from Kun to Sachez at the last minute, feel so lucky right now.
Any suggestions for a playing mid at 6.0 apart from Phillips? Looking to do Morgan to Alonso and Matic to 6.0 or under.

Who are your options that you’ve identified?

      • db says:

        1. Allen but only 2 decent fixtures out of next 5
        2. Redmond – 4 good fixtures in next 5, but im sure I saw on here everyone ditching him for some reason
        3.Watmore – 3 out of next 5 are good + Swansea next

        • Andy says:

Leroy fer’s got decent fixtures but he plays for Swansea and although zaha’s are fixtures are tough on paper I still like him as Palace look like scoring goals against anyone at the minute, Redmond’s also been playing well (Not scoring though frustratingly) but I wouldn’t double up on the Saints with Austin.

      • db says:

Thanks Andy, yeh I do like Fer and have him in my watchlist and the next 6 look good (just looked), I just wonder if the players want rid of the manager!

So who you guys think is the best bet for the upcoming 3 fixtures? Kane or Ibra?

    James101 says:

Ok. Could use some more opinions!!!

    A. Kun – Ibra (ft)

    B. Kun & siggy To Defoe/Tekers/Austin (or anyone to £9.4m) & Sanchez (-4pts)

    C. Kun & Phillips To Austin (or anyone to £7.3m) & Sanchez (-4pts)

    D. Kun & can To Austin (or anyone to £6.9m) & Sanchez (-4pts)

    E. Something else (what?!)
