Live Match Chat Gameweek 14

Photo 23-11-2013 11 44 40The deadline bell for GW14 rang last night and those with Palace defenders have spent the day celebrating and patting themselves on the back.
But now its time to look forward to tonight’s nine other games, which offer huge potential to move higher in your leagues, or alternatively slide lower!
So, the team sheets are about to be revealed, with that dreaded word we all hate, namely “rotation”, ringing in our ears and causing untold stress and worry.
Who will Wenger rest? Will RvP be fit to face Everton? What surprises has the Special One got in store? Will Dzeko get the chance to break West Brom hearts again?

And then down to the action.

Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Game Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.

Good luck for the second part of GW14 from all at FF247!

109 last night so happy with that! Haven’t got a clue about transfers this week, any ideas?
    Cech (Given)
Williams, Fonte, Distin (M. Olsson, B.Turner)
    Whittingham, Ramsey, Hazard, Toure (Bacuna)
    Suarez, Aguero, Remy

    0.4 and 2FT. Thanks

I wouldn’t play Fonte vs. City if this is the team for next week. In case this is just a team as it is I’d move on Whittingham and get someone like Shelvey. Whitts hasn’t done anything in a LONG time. Also no point having Cech when our defense sucks. You can move him on to Howard from next GW (after Palace) considering his fixture.

      Would save you some cash.

Oh this was just what I played last night. I’m thinking of moving him on for either Shelvey or maybe Oviedo, however he plays in defence :/. Any recommendations on a defensive upgrade?

        • Sharmaisms says:

Oviedo is not guaranteed a place. There are rumours of Baines coming back early. So if you want a short time punt Oviedo is pretty good. But with Shelvey you’ll probably get a 0.2 rise, so you can sell him for a profit.. and every 0.1 matters.

Defensively no upgrades for next week. Maybe move Williams on after Norwich as their fixtures turn horrible. And get a cheapie like Chester to upgrade Bacuna maybe…

Wow what a gameweek jumped right up the charts with a tasty 110 points!

Need some advice, need rid of Boruc & Townsend, was thinking

    Boruc >> Marshall
    Townsend >> Shelvy

    Team below:

    GK Stekelenboug (Boruc)
DF – Coleman – Zab – Dawson (Spurs) (Baker Ward)
MF – Ozil – Hazard – Ramsey – Townsend (Januzaj)
    FW – Suarez – Lukaku – Aguero

I also need rid of my Fulham keeper and possibly Januzaj.

Cheers all and roll on Saturday!

Okay, pretty happy with my team.

Thinking of switching out Roon fo rlukaku or similar.

That could be for one weekend, or could be for longer if i decide to put the cash elsewhere.

Thoughts? Also thoughts on alternatives or alternative moves?

Not looking to do anything too dramatic…

    Thanks

    J.

    Team:

    Gazzaniga. Davis.

    Mertz. Clyne. Kosc. Gabbidon. Baker.

    Hazard. Gerrard. Ramsey. Toure. Johnson

    Aguero. Rooney. Suarez

Note – Rooney to Lukaku would give me 3.2m to use elsewhere.

      (Defence or keeper I guess)

      Shadow says:

Midfield looks solid, Everton do have some tasty fixtures coming up so Lukaku could be a good call.

Only change I could think of is Clyne especially if the injury he picked up last night was more than just a knock.. How much you have in the bank?

I would mention the keepers but you’ve mentioned previously your keeping them until Jan wc?

      • James101 says:

        thanks.

i play a 3 man defence, so i can carry clyne in theory if nec. though he’s not delivering any value recently, and could now fall in price, so could be worth switching out.

if lukaku continues to fire, i could upgrade clyne to anyone i chose.

        or my keeper.

only .2m in the bank. but rooney frees up 3.2m.

      Albertini says:

James, solid team you have there.

I think you only have two questions to deal with, Rooney suspension and doubling Arsenal defs with their hard fixtures. I also have Clyne, I guess we’ll have to wait to see if he’s ok.

Lukaku could be a good move, Everton has great fixtures from GW16 as you know.
How many FTs do you have?

      • James101 says:

        Thanks Al.

Only one FT. Rooney to Lukaku this time, gives me the option of reversing it next time, or using the cash on upgrading def to include zaba, coleman, etc.

or i could take a hit and get coleman or zaba in early if clyne is out – to protect against rotation.

but i’d not rush into that…

        • Albertini says:

I’m keeping Lukaku, he has been consistent and of course he can also score to Arsenal. But also Roo has been quite impressive and he’ll be out just for one game… not an easy one mate.
