Welcome to Live Match Chat Gameweek 16 FPL News: And the silly season begins… Our first game-week on top of another, quickly followed by another. Expect rotation, expect the unexpected. As much as traditional team selections may go out of the window, expected results often do too. Welcome to the beginning of the reason they give us an opportunity to select 15 playing players. We hope you took that particular gift and didn’t squander it as it’s one you may well need, starting this evening, in all probability. Talking of which we begin with two games on Tuesday as Bournemouth face a suddenly rejuvenated Leicester, don’t get too excited though, they won’t get to play against Stones and co every week. Arsenal then face a beleaguered and strangely uninterested Everton at Goodison. Wednesday then sees a bumper night with 8 fixtures in total with the likes of Spurs, Man City and Chelsea all having games from which they should, in theory, have us all celebrating good fantasy points…

Whether they do or not please feel free to join us on the journey and post your thoughts, feelings, frustrations and hopefully celebrations. And no doubt the odd rate my rate as GW17 follows in quick succession!

  1. Do I need to make anymore changes? Was thinking of nacho out and maybe kos but would be -8 hit as already brought in lallana. Alonso for kos but who for nacho? Go cheap and change to 3-5-2? Or should I just stick ?
    At some point need to get Aguero and coutinho back in !

    • I think I’d stick in all honesty. That’s unless we learn tomorrow that Itchy isn’t likely to play again.

      • He’s not going to play though is he. Even if he does it’s Arsenal

        • I don’t know Smash, he didn’t play because of a knock supposedly. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him back in but even so as you say.

        • Hmm Nolito did alright. Plus they won kind of expecting a similar side. I’m leaning towards selling him for Origi

        • Probably wise mate as even if he does start there will still be a doubt the week after anyway. Always is with Pep I guess.

    it´s crazy, a few weeks before I´ve been on position 549 overall and now out of 100000, 9th red arrow in a row. But at least still first in my mini league. What do you think about Adam as 5th midfielder instead of Barry?

    • They’ve got a bit of a rubbish run coming up but I’d take a dustbin over Barry, at least it wouldn’t be guaranteed a yellow card every game. If he’s literally a 5th and can be rotated a bit then I’d do it.

  5. Hey lads. Loving the quick turnarounds which keeps things exciting. So, who’s everyone transferring in this GW? Thinking either shifting Pedro (I have Costa and Alonso) for Lallana, or rolling over the free transfer… What do you lads think?

    • Hey Sanchez, I’d probably roll it I think. Everton looked much better the other night. After 30 mins of comedy defending they seemed to flick a switch and looked like a proper team again. Prior to that I’d have said jump all in on Liverpool. I’m thinking a tight 1-1 now.

  6. Evening fantasy peeps. I just can’t get any luck at the moment. All of a sudden my team looks shit! I’ve held out some transfers so I have 2ft available. I can’t make my mind up so please any help appreciated.

    I’ll tell you my thinking quick. Kane is in for this weekend and if he don’t bang me in at least 2 goals he’s out! Back in ibra. I was abouts to bring in mikitarian then he got injured. brought in fer since he was scoring now he aint played in 2 games. Gundogan now out for season. And Cedric I assume is injured I only just got him in.

    Players sticking out lallana and Erickson but I have Kane so not sure I want both. Any ideas please fire away. And here I am thinking I was not bad at the fantasy league but this has to be my worse start.

    • Hi jumpers, what’s in the bank please? You obviously need to fix that central midfield sharpish! You can play Allen this week for a start but depending on funds then you need to replace at least one of the others. Cedric is an illness so he may yet be ok, not heard any news on them yet.

      • Apologies init and thanks for taking the time to help. I have 2.4 itb which is aguero left over funds and 2ft. Mini league with money involved again and I’m not looking to good.

        • If you can get Erik for Gun this week I’d do that for starters. Perhaps look at Phillips or Zaha to replace Fer after that if he continues to not start. You don’t really need either this week though so I’d buy Erik and play Allen and assess the other after this one. If you’re happy to use the 2nd transfer this week then I’d look at Iheanacho to someone perhaps.

      • Well init if I go for Eriksen I’m 0.8 short. Then if I leave fer for now and get itch out I’m left with 5.9. Not really leaving much room for a reasonable striker. Headache already
