Welcome to Live Match Chat Gameweek 17 FPL News: After the excitement (maybe not!) of the midweek fixtures we are back with a long weekend of games beginning on Saturday lunchtime with Chelsea chasing records at Pardew’s Palace. We move swiftly on to four relatively dull looking games at 3pm, if we are being totally honest about it! It reads more like a relegation audition or next seasons typical Championship fixture list than any sort of Premier League bonanza. Ahem, sorry, we’re supposed to build you up into a frenzy of excitement to encourage the conversation about what is to come and what is happening aren’t we?! We’ll actually forgive you if you leave at 2pm and return at 5pm though, just this once! The evening game could actually be an interesting one as Man United visit West Brom, both of whom enjoyed midweek wins. Sunday begins with a south coast derby followed by arguably the clash of the weekend as Pep meets Wenger at the Etihad. At the same time as that one Spurs will seek to gain some ground on the leaders as they host Burnley. Our game-week closes out on Monday with another derby game, this time on Merseyside. I have already done Kane to Ibra, im so frustrated that 3 weeks ago I was ranked 20K overall and then Kun gets suspended, I then chose Nacho instead of Origi and Kane instead of Ibra due to fixtures, at that point came my first hit of the season and 3 hits later in 3 weeks due to non playing/flops or injuries. Down to 90K and 38 points with Lellana and Mane to play tonight.
what is your thoughts on Pedro? has he lost his place or simply rested? otherwise Pedro to Wally would mean double up on Pool and Gunners, albeit good fixtures.

As I’ve said over, I would keep Pedro this week because of the game he has and the fact I’m not entirely convinced he has lost his place yet.
You have been unlucky with Iheanacho and Kane, they made perfect sense at the time and you would no doubt do the same again given the same circumstances.
Indeed GP. I got Kane in and gave him the armband in both his fixtures. The second one was a little bit relluctlanty that I did it but it still made sense, also if compared to other options so no regrets here.
I have 3 players left but I’m having a stinker right now with 25 pts! Droped from 75k to 144k! That however just shows how close everybody is in that top 200k. Two or three good weeks gets you up there again. Bring it on!!
Charl – wasn’t as high as you but I have had a massive drop from 50k to 130k in 2 weeks! Have faith and the green arrows will return!
thanks Guys, I am hoping the green arrows return sooner rather than later, this is a marathon and no trophies was ever won in November or December. I did have 1 good week with Kane when he score the brace but in hindsight I would have skippered Sanchez that week which scored a wopper. I guess some bad spells is all part of it. Hopefully Mane and Adam cheer me up tonight…………hahahahaha
On the Capo front for Boxing Day Alexis and Ibra seem the obvious choices. However, a quick glance at WBA’s and Sunderland’s stats away at top opposition suggest that this won’t be drubbings. On the other hand, Bournemouth away at top clubs spells goals (against) so maybe Hazard gets in this discussion?

Hey DMC, I currently have it on Haz so it may say there to be honest but who knows.
I originally had the armband on Hazard, but then bought Ibra and so moved it to Zlatan. Which means you should, almost definitely, captain Hazard

Nice one, Silvers – you must have had excellent points hauls before this week anyway. You never know, this could be the week Firmino springs back to life too! Regarding Aguero, are you considering losing Kane for him and a downgrade elsewhere?
Yes swirly Kane will go , the ? for me is do I want Kun & Costa or Kun & Ibra which I’m not sure at present as I don’t have Haz big decision for me 😉

The question that is bothering me is
Is it a better plan to go Kun Costa and Ibra up top and not worrying much about the team balance being disturbed?
The reason being that those three eat up so much of the fund. Plus get in Sanchez there and a Chelsea back (optional), we might not even be able to have 8 solid players in our entire squad

All seriousness though Mito, maybe a question about whether Kun is worth it after the New Year or is it better to have a strong midfield as that seems to be where the points are coming from this season?

A couple weeks ago, no team was really able to hold CS consistently. But now Chelsea does that, and defenders like Walker compensate with many assists…

I could see Costa price is taking a dive now, can someone please confirm that his price will only go 0.3 lower in worst case scenario before the next game week kicks in?

Nishant. Decent squad there. you can check on the origi situation tonight. If he fares good, then costa to ibra would be good.. I’ve done the same move. Don’t really bother avout the price changes really..trailing in my ML .So, need some good scoring.
