Live Match Chat Gameweek 17 FPL News
Welcome to Live Match Chat Gameweek 17 FPL News: After the excitement (maybe not!) of the midweek fixtures we are back with a long weekend of games beginning on Saturday lunchtime with Chelsea chasing records at Pardew’s Palace. We move swiftly on to four relatively dull looking games at 3pm, if we are being totally honest about it! It reads more like a relegation audition or next seasons typical Championship fixture list than any sort of Premier League bonanza. Ahem, sorry, we’re supposed to build you up into a frenzy of excitement to encourage the conversation about what is to come and what is happening aren’t we?! We’ll actually forgive you if you leave at 2pm and return at 5pm though, just this once! The evening game could actually be an interesting one as Man United visit West Brom, both of whom enjoyed midweek wins. Sunday begins with a south coast derby followed by arguably the clash of the weekend as Pep meets Wenger at the Etihad. At the same time as that one Spurs will seek to gain some ground on the leaders as they host Burnley. Our game-week closes out on Monday with another derby game, this time on Merseyside. Please join us to talk about the happenings on the pitch and share your teams joys or woes as the games go on. Rate my team posts are always welcome for the following week and will always be answered. Rant, rave or just wave, do whatever you want on here, it’s your platform as ever…

hello all,
looking for one week punt for kane.. as i will bring in kun straight away next week.. i already have ibra.. transfer will be made after the match..
my options are
1. lukaku– away, against leicester who will be without huth and fuchs
2. llorente– home, against whu who are lucky not conceeding goals in the last two games
3. giroud– home, not sure about his game time though
4. slimani– home, not confident
5. rooney– home against sunderland, he would want to get past sir bobby charlton’s record in this fixture and he was looking very sharp in the past two games.. but would this be an overkill?
6. any other?
please remember… this is for one game week.. and please feel free to discuss all the names i mentioned.. i really need your insights
vaskarch
Negredo?
+1
Negredo
thanks nish.. but would u please discuss some more about the players i mentioned
+1 Negardo.
Done the same move myself. Burnley away is a nice fixture and he’s on form
thanks.. but negredo away against burnley.. burnley’s home record is terrific this season.. i wont take him.. please discuss the merits and demerits of the players i mentioned
cheers GP.. but i am not totally sold on negredo as burnley’s home record is very good.. please share some insights on the players i mentioned
Of all those I’d go for Rooney based purely on the opposition and United’s slight upturn in form.
Not too sure I’d fancy any of the other 4! Origi as a one week punt looks good at home to Stoke. Or Carroll against Swansea if you trust him to start. Same with Origi though I guess as Sturridge may get a go now if he’s deemed fit enough.
Probably just do Rooney.
Coleman is looking great
Coleman only looks good cause I transferred him out two weeks ago
I see the bs trend continues. Missed the first half, heard it was hard work but a shit game. 😉
Pool looking decent in second half. Firminho should have scored.
I think he’s playing centrally. Origi seems to be on the left a lot
They might just be changing a lot
Looking better. Two shots on target, both from him.
Do you think Sturridge will start vs Stoke? Im thinking probably yes. I have Zaha on my bench for scenarios like this, and he has Watford who are looking pretty bad recently. Play Zaha, forget the transfer?
I like Origi, but thats probably it for him for now unless Sturridge gets a cold in mid week which is a very real possibility
Lpool goal incoming
Awful challenge from Barkley on Hendo- he’s lucky that was a yellow card and not a red!
Like Rojo should have had last week. It is a disgrace these players don’t get proper punishment.
Origi being subbed.
And also Lalla. For Can and Studge.
Lol, Firminho on the wrong side. Mane got a freebee. Ffs.
Beautiful.
Go on Mane!
Almost Firminho goal. He is looking great again.
Yeah I’m really not sure how he’s not scored tonight
Unlucky, but at least 2 or 3 shots on target. More than Kane did in 2 fucking homegames. More than any other player did in this game by the way. He was just very unlucky. I noticed he was also running at the Studge ball but he was at the right side and Mane at the left side. Mane was lucky and he was not. Lot of this is also luck. Anyway, I remember Ibra, failing me 6 games in a row and everybody doubting him, I said he would come good. If Firminho gets the role he had today, he will come good for sure. By the way, first half Origi play more central and the second half wide? Didn’t see the first half, noticed Firminho was playing wel centrally though.
Coleman was getting forward a lot so I think they swapped. They interchanged a fair bit though.
