Why is Vlaar coming off? Injured? Again?

      The B says:

Oh man. Lambert and JayRod both?

He is getting points for paying much less! Hate that!

      • flingy says:

The B – there’s nothing wrong in using players who cost less. There are players who cost far less than the high bracket priced players who perform just as well for their teams. That’s the main reason I’ve had J.Rod in for a while, and he’ll stay there due to his stats.

        • flingy says:

In other words look at the players, not at the prices. Player price in FPL doesn’t always mean better player.

Flingy I need an expert eye over next weeks transfer plan please!!
Out Baines and JRod (I have Lallana for Soton coverage) in RVP and defender 4.3 (maybe Brown or Vlaar if not injured)
          Whatyareckon mate??? smile

        • flingy says:

How much is Winston Reid at West Ham? If not, look at any of their defenders for that price, careful though as I don’t have a clue who is going to play each week. Reid gives them so much solidity at the back it’s unreal, they keep clean sheets left and right when he plays. In fact, West Ham kept 6 clean sheets in the first 10 matches of the season when he was playing, since then have not kept one clean sheet. He also got a goal in that period.

I have a personal problem with van Persie (and United for that matter) but yes he scores a lot, and yes it’s probably a good move to make though one I won’t even consider due to their data I look at week in week out.

Southampton have good fixtures, and Clyne is only £4.4m (on my bench today, yay!), but anybody from Hull, Villa, or Saints will do for the short future based on fixtures in that price range.

        • Raziel says:

Collins looked as West Hams best today. Hope the coach keeps playing him. You never know though. Reid is most def. number 1 choice.

        • peakydave says:

Cheers Flingy appreciate that,i will delay as long as possible, but will keep an eye on prices!By all accounts RVP looked like he was carrying a few extra pounds today?!?!?! I will watch MOTD later and make an informed decision later! Thanks again!! smile

        • peakydave says:

Cheers Raz I will check who played what games for West Ham and decide!! smile

        • The B says:

Collins seems nailed when he is fit and is a decent player. He is manager’s favourite too.

Rvp captain next week? Home to bottom of table and leaky defense fulham?

    • 137.1
      Raziel says:

Yeah, I have both RvP and Suarez but next week I’ll take on RvP. Moyes is a dreadful coach though. What the hell has he done with United? I mean, they weren’t all that good to start with but seriously, this is depressing. And Wellbeck… ffs. He had like 3 100 percent chances and he missed all 3. He’s an …!!!!!!!!!!! >.<

Anyway questions coming up. Anyone know why Barkley was subbed? Why Vlaar was subbed?

      • The B says:

I think thats just a regular substitution. No injuries reported yet.

        • Raziel says:

Well, it’s stupid to sub your best and most important defender. Makes no sense, unless he’s not fit or injured.

As for Barkley, seems the coach doesn’t like him all that much. Probably cause he’s so selfish. Shoudl’ve went with the other selfish players, Mirallas.

        • The B says:

AV wanted 3 points from this game. Thats why Vlaar was substituted for Marc, who is a winger.
It ended up costing the game to AV, but nonetheless, it was a brave move from AV.

        • The B says:

Found out more, Barkley apparently picked up a knock and was subbed.

        • The B says:

Making assumptions are quite easy Raz, it seems. smile

        • Raziel says:

Good for him. Usually when you sub Vlaar you immediately concede goals. As Villa did. HAHA. What an idiot. Vlaar is the center of the Villa defense, he’s the only one that can organize. Plus he’s a threat up front (with his height). Makes absolutely no sense. :cuckoo:

Baker instead of Vlaar in central defense? Hmmm. Odd choice.

          Thanks for the info mate.
