Blue, to true mate – your place or ours?!
We’ll have something written up mate, don’t worry.
I’ll happily host the Sydney leg
Sounds perfect, with the return leg in Monaco?
Perfect
Morning guys. Even though I’ve captained Suárez, I want Sturridge to outscore him today..
Makes perfect sense James as every man & his dog has Suarez!
Im a cat person.
@The B, I think we all knew that, very obvious.
+1 guys
Yesterday was a funny old day of football, but did the spectacle match the statistics?
Clear chances were sparse from some of top teams, with Everton creating just 6 chances in their tie against Villa(3). West Ham seen a noticeable improvement due to the return of Andy Carroll and managed to have 10 clear chances, similar to that of a struggling Manchester United who managed just 11, equal to that of Cardiff. The absence of Cabaye and Remy from Newcastle who managed to create 23 chances in their game, taking 28 shots at goal and 12 from in the box, yet not managing to put one in the back of the net. Swansea also struggled, with 20 shots but just 8 from in the box they also didn’t manage to convert. Norwich managed to create 19 clear chances in their game, taking 27 shots and 17 from within the area. Although their 1 goal shows how they really need a striker to convert, with a conversion rate of just 3.7%.
So who were the top performers this week? As previously mentioned Newcastle created the most chances, with Ben Arfa leading the way in chances created(6) and closely followed by Sissoko(5). Rickie Lambert(4) closely followed and managed to notch himself 2 assists for his creativity. Shola Ameobi took 9 shots yesterday, trumping Snodgrass and Andy Carroll who both took 7. Soldado and Mutch follow the performance of van Persie, all with 4 shots (all inside the area) and 2 chances created, yet only the Dutchman managed to bag a goal. The man of the moment Adam Johnson continued to impress creating 3 chances and taking 4 shots, whilst Southampton’s Jay Rodriguez also managed to get himself on the score sheet again with 6 shots and a delightful finish. Christian Benteke continues to struggle taking no shots this weekend, with Baines also struggling to match previous form creating no chances and taking no shots.
Flingy
Hey flingy, long time no see! Nice write-up, although have you considered the opposition’s defence and GK?
Morning Veer – I’ve been busy with University and work, so not had much time to get on here! Not in the above, but it was just a quick post so people can see the statistics from yesterdays games.
Morning Flingy, nice write-up – and good to see you working your way up the rankings. where do the stats come from, if it’s not a secret?
I’d be interested to see the Hull-Spurs numbers as well.
Thanks for this Flingy, I’d imagine Andy Carrol’s RC could really effect West Ham’s output if it’s not successfully appealed which is disappointing news for me.
