Live Match Chat Gameweek 35 FPL News
Welcome to Live Match Chat Gameweek 35 FPL News: After a sensational Alvaro Negredo display in DGW 34, we head into a buffer of sorts. With doubles in 34, 36 and 37, this GW we can relax a little, sort of. We kick it off with four 3pm fixtures. It is pure excitement when the low scoring Saints tangle with a difficult opponent to not score on, Hull. It should be a test of wills to see who underperforms more, the Saints attack or the Hull defence. If you think that doesn’t offer enough to make you fall asleep, perhaps a taste of Stoke vs West Ham? Over the last 10 matches these two are 16th in 17th in points and have scored 20 goals combined over those 10×2 games. Yeah, a goal a game. So snooze should be on the loose in this one. For those that don’t need a mid afternoon nap, I present to you Sunderland vs Bournemouth. This could provide us with comedy gold, in particular on defence, as neither team attempts to play any. The last of the opening 4 fixtures sees West Brom welcome in Leicester, yeah, moving on. In the 5:30 game Palace hosts those away stars, Burnley. With 3 draws in their last 6 away games, think we can say they are in-form, perhaps I will place a bet on them.
Luckily after enduring a Saturday of not having any real footy to watch and feeling properly rested, we come to Sunday. Yes, yes, yes, yes…sorry was watching when Harry met Sally orga, errrr, restaurant scene. Where were we at? Oh yes, Sunday footy. Lunch time sees the battle for fourth resume, as United tangles with a Swansea side who also has a lot to play for. Both teams in need of a win, will hopefully lead to some goals, maybe, Jose is capable of sucking the fun out of any game, so be aware. That is followed by two 2pm-ish encounters. Boro and their vaunted attack will look to score some goals, well, a goal vs City. City’s fans (player’s families) will want to get out of that red velvet sandwich they are currently caught in with LFC one point ahead and United one point behind tickling their tuckus. We also see Lukaku’s former and future employer Chesea visit Goodison looking to inch closer to the title. CFC has slowly let Spurs crawl back into the race, so they can break their hearts again at the end. In the last Sunday fixture we have the possibility of pure joy. We see the possibility of killing 2 dreams with one stone. When Spurs face Arsenal only one result would do us right. A loss for Tottenham would all but end Spurs title dreams to their bitter rivals and hopefully such a result would lead to a new contract for Wenger. Sounds like a win-win to me.
Monday finishes off the GW with Watford hosting Liverpool. Should be a very predictable game. If City and United win expect LFC to do also, If either of the Manchester sides drop points expect LFC to. If there is one thing we know is that if LFC is given an opportunity, they let it slip away.
Please join us as ever to discuss the games as they happen and share your feelings, successes and woes as the action unfolds and hopefully the FPL points flood in for you.

This shit is annoying and stressful! I don’t like keeping weak defenders but do the attackers compensate? Please comment on my team with suggestions.
Rohan
Is this a WC team? And which chips do you have left?
Yeah it’s annoying and stressful. This is why it’s so addictive!
Yes this is a wildcard and I do have bench boost too.
Hi Rohan. Not sure about those five blokes on your bench. Having Devendra Fadnavis as your backup GK is a risk as he doesn’t have a DGW.
Lol
But…
What world do you live in now to even know who those people are?!
Comment on the team!! I need help or just post your wild card team I need some inspiration. Thanks! Sorry for being so hype I need to beat my friend whose 50 points ahead and does not have a wildcard.
I zoomed into the image and did some Googling. I haven’t a clue what those guys do!
Devendra Fadnavis is the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, a state in India.
Shiiiit!! Just got that 😉 lol

:big-lol:
Some thoughts on my first draft of WC team?
Hey charl
I assume Bench Boost will be coming in to play in GW37 hence the double Saints and West Brom in defence?
I don’t mind the double Southampton, considering it myself due to the number of games they have and their cheapness. I’m not hot on any West Brom just now – the form is just not there and neither are the fixtures. I prefer Huth at least for one of these, probably Evans due to McAuley’s goal threat.
Ive downgraded Sane to get in Huth, still 1mill itb, 14 DGW players tho.
BB for 37
Sane to King is an excellent move.
How about McAuley to Alderweireld/Vertonghen now?
Ive gone Mcauley to Monreal for DGW fixtures in 36, i will do Monteal to Vertogs in 37,
Can anybody say how JESUS played last night, as I would like him in my WC because I very liked what I saw before he was injured. Thanks a lot
colonial,
Haven’t seen any of yesterday’s game but the fifteen minutes he got against United on Thursday he looked pretty sharp and actually scored albeit it was ruled out correctly for offside.
I think he looks like a proper goalscorer. No qualms about bringing him in.
Looked like he was a little tired later in the game but still scored a great header and generally made good runs. Interestingly looks like he’s the 9 up top with Kun playing deeper
Morning you bunch of lovely people you!
How’s everyone’s WC coming on?
I’m going to look into a non Sanchez team as my next port of call, for now these are my latest musings, guess it comes down to Ali vs Costa ( or Vardy)
The top team every day for me Rosco mate. I’d be very confident going into the final stages of the season with that.
I like team 1,that front 3 is beast ! Gabriels place could be under threat now and Davies’s but i’d fancy him to play at least one game in gw37 if Rose makes it back.
Yeah I’ve been on that one a while and it seems to get unanimous appraisal so maybe that saves me dicking around the rest of the week! Ha ha
Hi Rosco,
I like the top team forward line but have a few thoughts
– playing time of Davies
– playing time of Gabriel
– point of Caballero
Could you find a way to get Cech in goal who has think is more appealing with 2 DGWs
I’ll look into it! Yesss!! More Dicking around!!
Gents
Correct 11 for this Gw?
I’d say so, you could argue Sane over Ali on fixture but form over fixture and Ali is the correct call!
Id be inclined to play Sane over the King actually. Just rested with no threat from Aguero and Palace’s defence isn’t the same without Sakho in it.
Milburn
I suspect I will have sane in my starting 11 before the deadline passes
Milburn
I am rather intrigued with the comments about Linking> Can you explain please? I have just done the link myself but am not sure what the purpose is. After being a ‘member’ for 2/3 years I have never seen it mentioned. I am above 6,200K but Courtinho is on tonight!! – also #3 in members league
Colonial
If your 3rd that means I’m coming for you…. 😉
Where are you Mitro? My teams not actually in it but would be interesting to know where I’d be!
Your links not working buddy! Ha ha
I think Milburn is just echoing the frustrations a lot of people have had with Waxys and his ever changing team, comments about getting into the top 10k, statements or should I say declarations and all round non transparency. Obviously there’s a few people who don’t show their team or have a broken link but these people tend to be very open and transparent so it’s not an issue.. you’d fall into that category!
Bang on. There’s no obligation to do it at all but if you are in the hunt for a prize then I’d probably do it, just to make my life easier when you claim!
Whatever you did it was wrong but having just read the instructions and how awfully they were worded I’m hardly surprised!
Init
Anything to make your life easier – perhaps some easy instructions. I I went to FFPL and copied the URL on my profile page. Then went to ff247 profile and pasted it to the website box and updated.
Don’t worry I’ve done it for you.
Sorry init.. I am not a native speaker. that”s why my wording about the process of linking was awful. I would be very grateful if you correct that.
Just check I’d be 4th!! Ha ha it’s amazing that only 10 points separate us but that’s 3k in rank!
Get yourself in the league, there’s prize money at stake there.
Ok I’m in!
What is this league Init?
The FF247 regulars league
Mitro, who is that jut above you in 7th
Rosco, no need to join mate. I don’t want to get bumped down to 8th!
Pancho
Let’s dance fella!! 😉
Yeah Colonial, just what the lads have said really, calling out someones continous and obvious BS.
That’s a fantastic ranking for yourself though mate, congratulations and fingers crossed for you and the rest of the season.
