Welcome to Live Match Chat Gameweek 35 FPL News: After a sensational Alvaro Negredo display in DGW 34, we head into a buffer of sorts. With doubles in 34, 36 and 37, this GW we can relax a little, sort of. We kick it off with four 3pm fixtures. It is pure excitement when the low scoring Saints tangle with a difficult opponent to not score on, Hull. It should be a test of wills to see who underperforms more, the Saints attack or the Hull defence. If you think that doesn’t offer enough to make you fall asleep, perhaps a taste of Stoke vs West Ham? Over the last 10 matches these two are 16th in 17th in points and have scored 20 goals combined over those 10×2 games. Yeah, a goal a game. So snooze should be on the loose in this one. For those that don’t need a mid afternoon nap, I present to you Sunderland vs Bournemouth. This could provide us with comedy gold, in particular on defence, as neither team attempts to play any. The last of the opening 4 fixtures sees West Brom welcome in Leicester, yeah, moving on. In the 5:30 game Palace hosts those away stars, Burnley. With 3 draws in their last 6 away games, think we can say they are in-form, perhaps I will place a bet on them.

Luckily after enduring a Saturday of not having any real footy to watch and feeling properly rested, we come to Sunday. Yes, yes, yes, yes…sorry was watching when Harry met Sally orga, errrr, restaurant scene. Where were we at? Oh yes, Sunday footy. Lunch time sees the battle for fourth resume, as United tangles with a Swansea side who also has a lot to play for. Both teams in need of a win, will hopefully lead to some goals, maybe, Jose is capable of sucking the fun out of any game, so be aware. That is followed by two 2pm-ish encounters. Boro and their vaunted attack will look to score some goals, well, a goal vs City. City’s fans (player’s families) will want to get out of that red velvet sandwich they are currently caught in with LFC one point ahead and United one point behind tickling their tuckus. We also see Lukaku’s former and future employer Chesea visit Goodison looking to inch closer to the title. CFC has slowly let Spurs crawl back into the race, so they can break their hearts again at the end. In the last Sunday fixture we have the possibility of pure joy. We see the possibility of killing 2 dreams with one stone. When Spurs face Arsenal only one result would do us right. A loss for Tottenham would all but end Spurs title dreams to their bitter rivals and hopefully such a result would lead to a new contract for Wenger. Sounds like a win-win to me.

Monday finishes off the GW with Watford hosting Liverpool. Should be a very predictable game. If City and United win expect LFC to do also, If either of the Manchester sides drop points expect LFC to. If there is one thing we know is that if LFC is given an opportunity, they let it slip away.

Please join us as ever to discuss the games as they happen and share your feelings, successes and woes as the action unfolds and hopefully the FPL points flood in for you.

    Afternoon guys
61 -8 all done …Another green arrow yippee.!
    My team.
    DDG / Jaku
    Gibson / Valencia / Alonso / Yoshi / Fernandez
    Sane / Eriksen / Ali / King / Hazard
    Jesus / Kane / Gabi

Trying to get Sanchez with 1ft zero bank.
-12 will do it without losing my big hitters.
    How’s this?
    DDG > Pickford
    Gibson > Holgate
    Valencia > Stephens
    Sane > Sanchez

Leading ML by 60 points so can take the hit
    Waddy all think?

Afternoon fellas, dropped down to 4th and out of the money places in my ML this week but I still have Couthino to play so hopefully I’ll go back into 3rd.

Have activated my WC so would like your opinions on my 1st draft.

Any money itb? Its a bold move to go without the Spurs 3 or King. I think I’d trim some money from your keepers and look to upgrade elsewhere. Gabriel is also a gametime risk after his woeful showing yesterday.

      Leprechaun says:

      Hey Matt,

      Some nice differences in there.
Would you consider Cech for Lloris?
Since you already have Hazard I would also consider Kane for Costa. Is that possible? Might it work if you switch Jags to Holgate or if necessary Alonso to Cahill?

      • Leprechaun says:

Also could save funds by downgrading Heaton. You only need one serious GK at this stage.

      • Matt says:

        Hey Leprechaun,

I was considering Cech I just couldn’t decide between the two until I stuck Gabriel in there but I don’t like him so I can change Lloris to Cech.

As for Costa to Kane it’s a bit harder, I can downgrade Heaton to Pickford and Lloris to Cech and I am still 0.3 short. Any advice? Spurs have difficult enough fixtures though so are they 100% needed?

        • Leprechaun says:

Kane is always dangerous. I watched him closely last night and he is very focused on getting a shot away.

If you are short after the 3 switches then maybe change Cedric to Yoshida or Stephens.

        • Matt says:

Yeah I’ve changed Heaton, Lloris, Cedric and Costa to Pickford, Cech, Stephens and Kane and that gives me 0.4 itb to upgrade Gabriel or somewhere else.

Which of these 6 players who you swap Gab with to raise money for Costa to Kane?

      Holebas,
      Robertson,
      Maguire,
      Kone,
      Holgate,
      Stephens.

Hi all. Does anyone have news on Luiz? I saw Ake came on when he got injured. At 3.8 he’d be an absolute bargain

Morning all. Thrilled with 83 points this weekend, up 140K spots but still in 4th in my ML. WC this week and BB in 37. Question is, does it make sense to wait to activate it and hope to bank price rises in the next 24-48 hours? I’m sure you’ll see countless WC posts from me in the coming days 😉 ….

      Matt says:

Amazing score Colriles!! I’ve activated mine in hopes of grabbing a few price rises so I would say go for it mate!! Also gives me time for planning too.

      • Colriles says:

Thanks Matt. Yeah I want to get tinkering too, but I meant do I wait on the players I have now who are projected to rise before shipping them out? Basically Rashford…

        • Matt says:

Ah I understand you now but I wouldn’t worry about that too much I think it would be better to get the price rises of lads you want rather than those you don’t incase you get screwed over by price rises if you get me?

    • 136.2
      inittowinit says:

You could get the best of both worlds by activating it, keeping those due to rise and buying others who are likewise?

    • 136.3
      Milburn says:

Colriles, the likelihood is that the players you want to bring in will be popular with a lot of people so you might as well activate it now and get them in. You can always play around with your team before the deadline.

      Andy says:

If you think a player who you’ve got will rise that extra .1 then why not, be wary that there’ll be lots of WC’s being played this week so it’ll be hard to guess whether or not a player will be due to rise/fall, also it takes far more transfers in now for the DGW players (Southampton/Arsenal) to rise.

    Hey guys,
59 points for me with 13 to come off the bench so happy with that.
Decided to play my wildcard to get my team ready to BB in gw37, hows it looking?

    • 137.1
      Matt says:

Hey Photek, some different names in there mate but could pay off! I was looking at Benalouane myself because think having some Leicester cover during the DGW could be a good differential.

    • 137.2
      Colriles says:

Hey Pho – would just keep an eye on Morgan’s impending return affecting Benaloune. And no Sanchez is glaring, but I’m in the same boat with Sanchez/Haz over 2 strong fwds.

    • 137.3
      photek says:

Thanks guys, i did manage to squeeze Sanchez in over Haz for 1 week in the other team i manage but i’m not convinced on current form in Sanchez over Haz who has 2 great looking fixtures in gw37.
Thanks for the heads up on Morgan

Thinking of my team for GW37 and BBing…
    Current Team
    pickford/heaton
    Azpi/Walker/Bertrand/Bailly/Gibson
    Eriksen/Sane/Hazard/King/Zaha
    Lukaku/Costa/Barnes

    Using WC…..
    Azpi to Daniels
    Bertrand to Yoshida
    Barnes to Gabbi or Rashford?

a penny for your thoughts…. smile
