Welcome to Live Match Chat Gameweek 36 FPL News: Welcome to the double before the DOUBLE! Don’t let the appetizer feel fool you though, this small DGW will be just as vital when it is all said and done in fpl. For those of you who like to drown in misery for more time than you really should, do we have a treat for you. This game-week starts on a Friday and ends the following Wednesday, so plenty of time to second guess yourself while the actual GW drags on and on. The Hammers and Spurs kick it all off with an 8pm fixture. West Ham has won once in their last 10, Tottenham has lost once in their last 10. Hmmmm, I wonder how this is going to go?

On Saturday we get it rolling with a lunch time affair between City and Palace. City needs to win by at least 2 goals to take over third place and Palace with a win 99.9% secures the top flight for next season. 3pm brings us four fixtures. Cherry power tangles with on vacation Stoke, The Clarets play a round of golf with The Baggies, Hull plays the new biggest game ever vs nobody, nobody at all, although some people call them Sunderland. The Foxes and Watford round out the three o’clock games, both teams all but secure their spot in the top league with 1 point, I know what South Americans would do. The last of the Saturday squabbles end with in-need Swansea hosting Everton.

Sunday brings us only two fixtures, but both should be a lot of fun. Liverpool is so close yet so far away to securing a top 4 spot, all they have to do is beat their B team, Southampton. How hard can this be? Really? Just threaten to stop buying their players, job done. In the late game, we see Arsenal and United battle to the death…on twitter and not the players, their fans. Who was better, who was what in the early 2000s. FA cup matters more than the Europa, Europa hands out a Champions League spot, you paid x amount for Pogdab, you still have Wenger, blah blah blah. Meanwhile on the field, United will field whoever is brave enough and Arsenal will play a bunch of overpaid (yeah, even at Arsenal that happens) crybabies who would rather be somewhere else.

Monday brings with it one fixture. Chelsea will inch closer to the title and all but finish relegating Middlesbrough when these two face-off at Stamford Bridge. Hopefully Diego scores one or two before he heads off to China to get even older and live in luxury as he so deserves. Turning on Brazil, asking players from an opposing team to let his team (Rayo Vallecano vs Granada) score and stamping on people rewarded with millions.

Wednesday sees the end of this mini double. As Saints welcome in Arsenal for each of those teams second affair of the GW. Frankly who knows what we will see here. Southampton is just playing out the string and by the time The Gunners arrive at St. Mary’s stadium for all intents and purposes they could be also.

    Sanchez is a major concern – what we going to do?

    • I have no idea who to captain next week

      • Thinking Sanchez to KDB?

        • Might be an option. Sanchez prefers to be some sort of ball catcher, wide playmaker than a bloody Winger or striker. Ramsey looks more interesting.

    • Might just keep him as a differential as my oppo doesn’t have him and the fixtures are still good. Won’t be capping him though.

    • Don’t be scared of Sanchez anymore. Ditch him!

    • I might very well switch Sanchez out for KDB. I doubt there’s any chance of Wenger playing Sanchez up front again this season and he doesn’t look very happy. City & KDB looked good at times against Palace but they haven’t played like that consistently.

      I also have concerns over Alli & Kane. By the time Spurs play again Chelsea should have won the league and this could seriously impact on Spurs’ performances!

  2. Rooney had many chances. He didn’t make a hash of any of them to be fair nearly got top corner twice. free kick was a solid effort idk what the rest of the squad are doing besides Carrick and de gea though..

  3. Guys don’t sell Sanchez. Look at the fixtures Sunderland and Stoke are no united.

    I’m thinking about captaining Montreal two clean sheets would mean 24 points. But that went so well when I captained Kompany

  4. I’m still super excited like Waxys that Rooney is up front .., yes… how did that go?

    • I’ll take it you didn’t watch the game.

      Rooney played extremely well and had every role in the squad from penalty taker to corners and free kicks.5 chances, 2 good saves by Cech and 2 barely missing top corner. If those went a lot of people would be bringing in Rooney.

      The vast majority of shots were taken by Rooney even when he was dropped to cm in the 60th minute.

      Jose seems to agree Rooney played well as he lasted the full 90 minutes while Herrera and Mkhitarian got subbed off.

      • Just got back from st james park to watch the toon win the championship so no!

        • Thought as much, anyway not like I bought in Rooney for the Arsenal game in the first place despite it just being bad luck he didn’t score. I’m satisfied with his performance overall for an 8.6£ striker and he still has a DGW to play.

        • I think I took the jibe at Rooney and my fantasy decision making pretty well. Just explained why it didn’t go so badly.

          I found good humour when I was getting hammered on for all the hits I was taking not like I can’t take a joke or nothing banter ain’t always clear on the internet without a wonky face emoji.
