Welcome to Live Match Chat Gameweek 38 FPL News: And there it was gone! 37 weeks have flashed before your eyes once more. And 38 will do the same as well because all 10 games happen on the same day at the same time. It always seems a bit cruel to have all your FPL hopes and expectations finally decided for you in such a swift fashion. Especially since we’ve all agonised over relatively minor points in game-weeks which have sometimes dragged on for as much as 7 days, as GW37 did. But that’s the way it is. Strap yourself in for a smidgen over 90 minutes. It’ll be agony or ecstasy for many. We hope it works out for you all. It wont. Not for everyone anyway. If it does then feel free to share and celebrate your success. If it doesn’t then know you have friends to share that with too. We’ve all been there and seen both sides of the coin. In a nutshell that is what has made this community great over the years, there’s a mutual understanding and respect and an empathy for whichever way it works out.
As the season comes to a close we would like to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who has been a part of the Live Match Chat discussion throughout the campaign. You make each match day come alive with every comment. It’s been a pleasure to watch each game-week unfold from the eyes of dedicated FPL players but also just football fans in general. The discussions that arise can range from the sublime to the ridiculous but are always entertaining regardless!
Unfortunately we don’t have any World Cup or Euros to entertain and keep us busy over the summer but fear not as we will be staying ‘relatively’ active. We will forgive you if you need a break of course but we have a good number of articles in the pipeline already. We have a couple of interviews lined up and then we plan to gear up for next season with some articles featuring the promoted teams as we always do. And if you are playing MLS then Guy will of course be publishing his tips on that as normal every week. However you choose to spend your FPL free summer we wish you all the best, we thank you for spending the season with us and we hope to see you again in August to begin the merry go round all over again!

So, I ended up finishing 109 points clear in my ML. My rank was 94k, which I’m actually not too disappointed with, seeing as I was languishing down at around 700k at one point! I’d like to say a huge thank you to all the writers and maintainers of this site. You all do a cracking job with excellent regular content, which is really useful – and amusing at the same time. I’d also like to thank everyone who takes the time to reply to my annoying questions, regular polls, and general indecisiveness! Hope you all have a cracking summer. I’m already thinking of next seasons ‘must haves’ 😉

Cookie told me about the money league and I’ll admit I vetoed it. It was a lovely gesture and appreciated but it brought back other memories that, bad ones! Namely Cookie having to have an hour long convo with HMRC over his last cash league!

Well done to all the topped their ML or beat the score they targeted. It wouldn’t have been possible without the guidance and great effort of all those at FF247 and those that take the time to comment on the boards.
Sadly it wasn’t my year, in fact I lost to the same guy that wins every year! He’s been inside the top 10k for 7 years straight so a tough nut to crack. But considering where I was around xmas I’m chuffed finishing at 40k.
Thanks again to everyone at FF247 and have a great summer those that take a few months out from the FPL madness.
Well guys I ended up with 104pts and a rank of 17k,winning my ml by 55pts. I’m chuffed with this as I found myself 20pts behind two weeks ago after leading for most of the season.
I don’t think I could have achieved this without all the brilliant articles and contributions from the writers and everyone on here. I’d just like to say thanks very much to everyone on here for all the help during the season.
I’m looking forward to next season already. Thanks guys and have a nice break.
