Live Match Chat Monday Night Edition Game-week 36 – FPL Fantasy Premier League

Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 33GW36 concludes tonight as Arsenal host Newcastle and the Gunners will be hoping to cement their grip on that vital 4th spot and Champions League football once more. Can Aaron Ramsey continue where he left off last week, can Lukas Podolski reward those who took a chance on him this week or will Newcastle spring a surprise and rise like Lazarus from their end of season slumber party. We doubt that last one but stranger things have happened! Now is the time to sit back, relax and see how your chosen players fare for you tonight.

Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.

Good luck for GW36 from all at FF247!

Okay guys, I could use a little help! I’m planning on taking Cahill, Nolan, and Mirallas out for Yaya and another DGW mid and defender. Thinking of Johnson, but are there are any better options? I have 11m to spend on those 2 players. Or there’s even the crazy idea of taking out Suarez in order to afford Mata. Someone will have to put up a good case for that one though haha. Thanks!!

    Speroni, Ruddy
    Coleman, Cahill, Demichelis, Chambers, Dummett
    Nolan, Mirallas, Eriksen, Ramsey, Noone
    Suarez, Rooney, Aguero
1 FT, .9m in the bank

Josh I’m doing a lot of soul searching on the Suarez debacle myself. See I’m calling it a debacle already! He’d allow me Mata and Yaya and I’d replace him with Wickham 😮 Actually think it coud work but I don’t want to screw up my ML!

If you don’t the yes AJ is ok, Amilfitano could be worth a look also maybe.

      • Josh721 says:

Yeah I’m leading a couple mini leagues by 30-40 points, so I wouldn’t be surprised if a few of them went all out for the DGW. It could cost me if Suarez has a big game though…

        • inittowinit says:

Here’s a thought though Josh – if they are chasing would they not take that chance also in an attempt to catch up? It’s crossed my mind with mine that he may in which case actually doing it isn’t that bad.

        • Josh721 says:

Yeah that’s a possibility. They do play Crystal Palace away, which isn’t exactly an easy game. I could always buy him back for the last game against Newcastle in place of Rooney if I really wanted to.

    Please RMT for DGW:
    De Gea (Mannone)
    Azpi Zabs Kompany (Rosenior, Vlarr)
    Eriksen Sterling Mata Ramsey (Barkley)
    Rooney(c) Aguero(v) Suarez

Pretty happy with my starting 11.. thing that is on my mind tho is that obv both Rosenior and Vlarr have a DGW.. can I have your opinions on my starting 11.. would you swap any players for either of the 2 or both defenders? Azpi and Eriksen perhaps? Thanks

Anyone else struggling with the Suarez dilemma? I don’t mind losing him for Palace but I’ll want him back for Newcastle!

Hey initt, how many DGW players are you going into this weekend with? I have 5 currently but I’m thinking of grabbing 2 more. Do you have a preference on any of the following combinations? I’ll have 13.9 to spend if I give Coleman and Nolan the boot.

    Zabaleta & Kagawa
Vergini or any 4.2 def & Mata
Ferdinand or any 5.2 def & Nasri

Any other combos you can think of that would be worth considering?

      Sharmaisms says:

Vergini and Mata seems like the best option. Gus would not change a winning combination so that stops Bards from getting back in.

      inittowinit says:

Hey Red, currently sitting with 5 and I will add another 2 maybe 3 to that.

I’m assuming you have Yaya already? I you have then fine and in which case I think the second purely because it has Mata in there.

      • RedVT says:

Thanks Sharmaisms and initt. Yes, I grabbed Yaya yesterday afternoon before his price went up. So those moves would be for a -8 point hit. But I’m OK with that since both are DGW players and I think most people will be taking a -4 point hit anyway to load up their teams.

And thanks for answering my next question before I even asked it Sharmaisms! I was worried about Vergini’s game time as I don’t know much about him. But he’s played 90 minutes 6 out of the last 7 matches, so hopefully he’ll keep his place.

How may DGW players are you looking at for this week Sharmaisms?

        • Sharmaisms says:

7 currently. Will probably take another hit for 8.

No point loading up on random players. 3 City, 3 United and a couple Sunderland.

Wouldn’t want anyone from Villa and Brom and Hull have kind of lost their way after getting safety.

So let’s have a Potty look at the Double Gameweek that is No 37.
Man City – Yaya and Demi are must have players.
Man Utd – I expect more rotation from Giggs over the 2 matches but nailed on starters will be Jones,Cleverly, Mata and Rooney.
Sunderland – Mannone should be your keeper,Alonzy is a bargain and a class act but many want Wickham when infact Borini offers so much more as in football terms, and forget Johnson.
Hull City – if your chasing points in a mini-league double up on Long and Jelavic.
Aston Villa and West Brom – simply forget.
My Captain picks…… Yaya if your boring……Borini if your not….Jelavic will put you top.

      Sharmaisms says:

For United’s sake I hope Cleverly is not a nailed on starter. Evra probably more nailed on over Jones as well.

I am stuck with Johnson, Potty! For weeks. And he hasn’t given me one decent score. I’m hoping this translates into an under the radar hidden gem this time around!

Is Aguero not must have Potty?

      inittowinit says:

Potty I was wondering the same about Borini and Wickham myself so I have looked into it a bit deeper. Borini has played 1872 mins and got 79 points
Wickham has played 633 mins and got 49 points

      So –
      Borini PPM – 0.077
      Wickham PPM – 0.042

Wickham wins hands down and is in superb form despite not taking pens.

      PPM is points per minute.
