Managers of the Round Table – Fantasy Premier League 2014-15

Photo 22-04-2011 15 26 55We have gathered up six prestigious members / writers around Mito’s Round Table to answer a few quick fire questions in the lead up to the opening of the FPL season. They have been asked to make choices over some of the same key questions many of us are currently facing. As one would expect we got a wide range of varying answers, everything from a unanimous decision on formation to six different choices for Flop of the Year. See what our esteemed panel answered and please share your answers and views below, including that tricky last question. And don’t be shy; they sure weren’t when expressing their man crush.

Below is a self-described introduction to their FPL playing style.

  1. Nice suits for the pic boys 😉 Thanks for all getting together for Mito’s Round Table, very entertaining and informative piece. Especially on your preferences for best looking player!

    • init – Thankfully Mito didn’t book the same tailor as Liverpool did for their ‘white incident’. Haha. Chain mail will do nicely!

  2. CALVIN / Chins / NIN /Migs / Tekno / Bry

Thought this was funny. Reassured me on a couple of choices as well so win-win for me reading that.

    Well done all.

  3. Thanks for helping out fellas! And yes I am single….

  4. Please RMT:

    Krul (Myhill)
    Debuchy-Luis-Shaw (Wisdom, Vlaar)
    Herrera-Sterling-De Jong-Eriksen (Albrighton)
    Costa-Rooney-Jovetic

I have 1.0 left in bank. Which position should i invest in?

    • Fish – I always prefer 2 keepers who actually play. Your team looks solid, if unspectacular haha. Your midfield lacks a big hitter, like Sanchez or Hazard. I would take out Herrera and downgrade one of your expensive defenders to a cheapie to afford the upgrade. And then there’s the threat of rotation from City’s forwards. Jovetic would be a decent option if I knew he would start every game.

    • See if you can upgrade Herrera with 1M.

  5. So mates,
    Dzeko or Jovetic?

    • I suggest you wait until after the ‘friendly’ matches are over, to see who is likely to play the most in the early games

    • Jovetic would be more of a differential pick. Pellegrini loves Dzeko, and if Aguero is fit, Im not sure where Jovetic will fit in teh line up.

      • hey B – if he keeps scoring , hard not to give him a shot. These strikers are all about confidence and not playing him if he is on fire would dent that

        • +1 he scored a brace last night so he is putting himself in with a great shout at a start

  6. Anyone a bit worried about Gerrard. He still doesn’t seem over that slip. More from a LFC perspective rather than a FPL perspective.
