New FPL Transfers Arsenal Sead Kolasinac and Alexandre Lacazette
Hello and welcome to New FPL Transfers Arsenal Sead Kolasinac and Alexandre Lacazette. Welcome back to a brand-new season of Fantasy Premier League! The Transfer Window has been in full swing since the 1st of July with plenty new faces coming into the league giving us fantasy managers more options to pull our hair out over. In the coming weeks, we will see multiple drafts, probably all from Mitro, containing different combinations of some of these new faces so to make it easier for him and everyone else; below I have written up an analysis of some of those faces. With so much money flooding into the English League in the recent years we are seeing some ridiculous transfers and transfer fees up and down the divisions (Ruben Neves to Wolves for £15 million, anybody?!!!) In the below article we focus on Arsenal’s latest additions. Two players whom Arsenal fans hope can help them back to their promised land and a 4th place finish
Sead Kolasinac
Defender
FPL Price: £6.0m
New season but same old Arsenal!! Wenger is still in the hot seat but only time will tell if Arsenal can turn things around. Old Arsene has started early by bringing in a new left-back but obviously he didn’t let any funds leave the budgeting department by nabbing Sead Kolasinac on the free. Kolasinac is a 24-year-old from Bosnia who has spent the last 5 years at FC Schalke. In that time, he made 123 appearances scoring 4 goals and getting 13 assists. These stats don’t light the world on fire but Kolasinac is versatile and can play centre back, left midfield and defensive midfield. The versatility that Kolasinac offers should be a Godsend to Arsenal, manager and fans alike, as he can slot in whenever the inevitable injury crisis starts. Arsenal’s first six games see matches against Stoke, Bournemouth and West Brom which could be three clean sheets for the new recruit if he does in fact walk straight into the side but with the form Nacho Monreal was in at the end of last season it will be hard to tell what Arsene’s plans are! With Kieran Gibbs gone there is less competition for the Bosnian at left back but it’s still a wait and see in my opinion.
Alexandre Lacazette
Forward
FPL Price: £10.5m
Hold the phone, stop the presses!! That’s right lads and lassies the world as we know it is coming to an end! Arsenal have not only loosened the purse strings but cut them wide open by spending a club record fee of £53 million on Frenchman, Alexandre Lacazette. Lacazette may not have the gorgeous looks of the Frenchman we all know and love to hate, Olivier Giroud, but one would have to assume Lacazette is the younger replacement for Olivier. Lacazette has been linked with the English game for a long time now usually with rumours of a move to Liverpool but as usual they missed out and the highly rated striker decided he wanted a spin on the London Eye. Lacazette arrives with a lot of expectations on his shoulders and it is well deserved as the 26-year-old has played 275 times for OL Lyon scoring 129 times and assisting a further 43 goals which compared to Giroud is a lot better. In Giroud’s time at Arsenal he managed 2 less assists than Lacazette which isn’t bad but Giroud was worse in front of goal only scoring 98 times in 227 appearances. These stats should signify the end of Giroud at the Emirates and with interest coming from within England from Everton and West Ham or his home country, with Marseille and Lyon looking to attain his services Lacazette could find himself leading the Arsenal line in their hopes of returning to their throne, 4th place!

The Fixture Tracker…
https://fantasyfootball247.co.uk/fixture-tracker/
Guys we have added some 2 team rotation trackers under there, if anyone needs them.
Or there
Thanks looks like Newcastle is best to rotate with Leicester. Not sure on Burnley
Yeah overall for those 10 weeks it looks like it. But the extra home games might make up for it. I just did a quick count of the home and away and home teams last season got clean sheets 131 times, away teams 83 times.
More than that, I particularly looked at the bottom 10 teams.
At home they combined for 57 clean sheets
Away they combined for 27 clean sheets
Since when we are talking about rotating cheap defenders we are usually dealing with bottom 10 type teams, I think it is fair to target home games if possible.
This is true home games are very important for the bottom 10
That’s great. Really clear and quick to process. Thanks
Mito, this is probably really stupid but I can’t make head nor tail of that rotation thing. It’s just me though I’m sure because I’ve been working all day and my brain is fried. From the little bit I do think I understand about the tracker is that basically Southampton and anyone else would be a good rotation?
Matt the rotation tracker shows you the best potential defensive rotations and the best fixture either team would have every week.
Right I think I get it now. Usually I understand it but for some reason this isn’t clicking. So when looking at Southampton they are all basically green because they have the best fixture?
Basically, if you were take the two teams in the left hand column and choose the better fixture of the two they have each week, you get what is in the corresponding row. So Soton will be very green because they have great fixtures with the other team’s factored in (but mainly due to theirs!).
Right so in my mind, Soton and Newcastle are a good rotation or am I reading it wrong?
Goddamit Matt You need to nail this one, we use you as the lowest common denominator on this stuff :hippo: 😉
I’m below Silvers?!! That’s why we make such great doubles partners 😉
Have Silvers explain it to you over a drink. 😉
Haha
Do I here my name being mentioned rotation tracker looks fine to me :smiling:
Rotational Pairings for the first 10 GW’s have been added here –

Cheers Mito i’m liking the West Brom Burnley rotation….hmmmm
Thanks.

Then confirm by pressing the ‘update profile’ on the bottom left of that page.”
Knew I shouldn’t have had a whisky chaser!
Done, thanks guys. I can have another whisky, no I haven’t spelt it wrong, I reco.end the slieve foy – probably spelt that wrong!
If you’re drinking Slieve Foy now you’ve spelt whiskey wrong 😉
Doh that was ayt1o correct. Promise!
I decided to go to the pub rather than go home as getting this team together whilst smoking in the shed or sitting on the Nazi just wasn’t cutting the mustard. I’m 1 and a half pints in and feel like if made more progress in my current surroundings than the whole of last week put together. Can i get a rmt please chaps.
Matic is most likely offski mate, and even if he wasn’t I wouldn’t have him. Not really sure if Adam will still be a starter at Stoke now either but not sure on that one.
Thats a shame, why didnt i k ow that! He was great for me last season with assists, i know his stats dont stack up but he brought points on a regular basis whilst i owned him. He was that ine plater that i brought in just at the right time and ditchrd just at the right time – completely opposite to the Mrs!
That midfield mate
:smirk:
Think he will literally be praying that Jesus saves his midfield. 😉
Its very good for 4-1-3
just a couple of tweaks maybe, besides the sambookas
Foster & Hart are only 4.5, Mcauley could drop to a 4.0 that would give 2m to boost the mid
Thanks
Yep, every time I have done the midfield prior to the attack or defence it sucks up all my cash! I can get more money by bringing in Defoe, and i would like to have defoe but that means sacrificing Jesus then I’m left no citeh cover.
Nothing like bypassing the midfield
Its either that or bypass the forwards in my opinion, everyone ends up with near on the same in the mid and forward sections. There’s so much choice up front now I think there’s going to be many variations. If I concentrate on the midfield then the main players I want are over 10 which then sacrifices the front line. I could sacrifice Jesus and I might. Not religious anyway.
This is where I’m at, now let’s see when Chicharito is added I think Alonso will have to go then
Yeah not sure why Mendy and Hernandez are yet to be announced
OK guys what do you think of this team? Cheers.
Very bare on the bench front. Naked almost. RLC/Carroll starting every week troubles me.
Crying out for a big downgrade here I think.
Find the balance, drop one from the front three imo.
I’d drop Jesus and upgrade Pogba to a City mid to cover them and then use the extra money to upgrade RLC
