New FPL Transfers Arsenal Sead Kolasinac and Alexandre Lacazette
Hello and welcome to New FPL Transfers Arsenal Sead Kolasinac and Alexandre Lacazette. Welcome back to a brand-new season of Fantasy Premier League! The Transfer Window has been in full swing since the 1st of July with plenty new faces coming into the league giving us fantasy managers more options to pull our hair out over. In the coming weeks, we will see multiple drafts, probably all from Mitro, containing different combinations of some of these new faces so to make it easier for him and everyone else; below I have written up an analysis of some of those faces. With so much money flooding into the English League in the recent years we are seeing some ridiculous transfers and transfer fees up and down the divisions (Ruben Neves to Wolves for £15 million, anybody?!!!) In the below article we focus on Arsenal’s latest additions. Two players whom Arsenal fans hope can help them back to their promised land and a 4th place finish
Sead Kolasinac
Defender
FPL Price: £6.0m
New season but same old Arsenal!! Wenger is still in the hot seat but only time will tell if Arsenal can turn things around. Old Arsene has started early by bringing in a new left-back but obviously he didn’t let any funds leave the budgeting department by nabbing Sead Kolasinac on the free. Kolasinac is a 24-year-old from Bosnia who has spent the last 5 years at FC Schalke. In that time, he made 123 appearances scoring 4 goals and getting 13 assists. These stats don’t light the world on fire but Kolasinac is versatile and can play centre back, left midfield and defensive midfield. The versatility that Kolasinac offers should be a Godsend to Arsenal, manager and fans alike, as he can slot in whenever the inevitable injury crisis starts. Arsenal’s first six games see matches against Stoke, Bournemouth and West Brom which could be three clean sheets for the new recruit if he does in fact walk straight into the side but with the form Nacho Monreal was in at the end of last season it will be hard to tell what Arsene’s plans are! With Kieran Gibbs gone there is less competition for the Bosnian at left back but it’s still a wait and see in my opinion.
Alexandre Lacazette
Forward
FPL Price: £10.5m
Hold the phone, stop the presses!! That’s right lads and lassies the world as we know it is coming to an end! Arsenal have not only loosened the purse strings but cut them wide open by spending a club record fee of £53 million on Frenchman, Alexandre Lacazette. Lacazette may not have the gorgeous looks of the Frenchman we all know and love to hate, Olivier Giroud, but one would have to assume Lacazette is the younger replacement for Olivier. Lacazette has been linked with the English game for a long time now usually with rumours of a move to Liverpool but as usual they missed out and the highly rated striker decided he wanted a spin on the London Eye. Lacazette arrives with a lot of expectations on his shoulders and it is well deserved as the 26-year-old has played 275 times for OL Lyon scoring 129 times and assisting a further 43 goals which compared to Giroud is a lot better. In Giroud’s time at Arsenal he managed 2 less assists than Lacazette which isn’t bad but Giroud was worse in front of goal only scoring 98 times in 227 appearances. These stats should signify the end of Giroud at the Emirates and with interest coming from within England from Everton and West Ham or his home country, with Marseille and Lyon looking to attain his services Lacazette could find himself leading the Arsenal line in their hopes of returning to their throne, 4th place!

The Fixture Tracker…
How does this team look like for the first few weeks and then reacess when we know which players are performing. Cheers for any advice
That’s pretty solid, I take it you’re not bothered much about the bench? Loving the forward line…
Latest two drafts. Trying to get a big 3 up top to work. Kind of need a playing defender on the bench though
Or this one
If I had to pick one now I’d go with the 2nd one. Just a pity New / Lei don’t rotate defensively for that 1st game. I think you said they do after that though?
Thanks yeah it’s ok. Certainly not the best but I think a Leicester defender at 4.5 is really good value compared to the other 4.5s. Still early I mean VVD could be a bargain. I really think Aguero will outscore Jesus but could do with saving the million
Trying to pick a nailed City attacker is probably going to be impossible – looks like rotation will have to be used. No way they can get Aguero, Jesus, B.Silva, Sterling, Sane, KDB and D.Silva in one side. Well, one that leaves something for defence! Maybe pre-season will shed some light. Probably won’t.
I think they will line up like this
Walker Stones Kompany Mendy
Fernandinho Silva KDB
Jesus Aguero Sane
I think Bernard will rotate with Silva a lot this season. Yaya will rotate with Fernandinho and Gundogan with sometimes 2 of them playing. Sterling will take minutes from the front 3 at times but don’t think he will feature as much this year. It will get really interesting if they manage to bring Mbappe (unlikely) in or Sanchez
Yeah something like that. Sterling did quite well last year.
He did but from memory he was the one to be sacrificed at the end of the season when Jesus and Aguero were in
Unused for last two games and off the bench for a few when both were fit, so your memory serves you well haha.
1st post of the new season. Welcome back all. Few thoughts and queries:
1. Yaya, any chance of a start? If so looks cheap at 6.5 mill.
2. Looks like some decent ppint scoring defenders out there this season at high prices, milner, alonso, kolasinac, tripper. Thoughts on preference?
3. How much has loftus-cheek played pre season?
4. What’s Brightons most likely defensive starting line up?
5. Best pairing goalkeeper rotation?
All the best for the coming season.
Yaya won’t be a regular starter
Trippier and Alonso will score very well
No idea on Brighton but I think they will struggle
Check out the rotation table
@Ljy
1. too much of a rotation risk for me
2. Alonso and Trippier look the best options at this moment, Milner if Klopp doesn’t rotate him
3. He played recently, apparently was impressive judging by Palace supporters
4. Bruno, Dunk, Duffy and Suttner most likely, last one is good on set pieces
5. Southampton and anyone, if you want to spend less, you can look at Foster and Myhill for 8.5 or if you definitely want a rotation pair Foster and Fabianski or Begovic and Fabianski works well. Hart and Henn from Palace is a sneaky one.
Lads
Alonso – Yes or No?
Yes for now. Conte should really buy a wing back though. He is utter crap at defending.
Ideally I would but I think it may mean leaning towards a 443 to do so effectively, which I’m not a fan of usually but depends who he’s replacing so it may still be a good option.
Can I have Colriles’ budget and your formation please? :hippo:
If you find a way to play 4-4-3 please share . That being said, I can barely afford 11 starting players 😛
Oh yeah, sorry, you know what I mean
No idea but Chelsea keep getting linked with Sandro
Any advice on how to improve that squad ? Thanks in advance.
Lack of City and Chelski coverage is glaring and not sure Naughton is nailed on?
You’ve got both Alli and Kane, one of whom could be swapped for more even coverage I guess.
+1
CHE coverage could be Willian but its kinda short term and MCI are stacked a little too much for my liking, but i get your point. Like Alli-Kane for their goal threats and Naughton seems to be nailed, but you need to do a lot of research with those 4.5 DEF’s.
Kinda short term but most WC GW 4-6
I don’t unless its a mess, less uncertainty the better.
If you could somehow eek out that 0.5 for Tadic to Willian then I think you’re not far off done, if that’s the balance you’re happy with.
Thanks for the input AT, webstar and inittowinit.
