New Signings – Fantasy Premier League 2015/16. Mings, Distin, Atsu
***FREE BOOZE**** ***SEX THINGS*** ***CASH GIVEAWAY***
Right, quick, lock the doors Mito!
Ok, now that I have your attention and the Colombian Mafia have the exits covered, I can tell you that this isn’t going to be the most exciting list of new arrivals you’re ever going to read. Sometimes life just deals you a rubbish hand. Sometimes you get the shitty end of the stick. And sometimes, you accidently park your car in Cookie’s space on the same day as he’s deciding who gets to write up which new players.
So then, let’s see what you make of this lot…
The Bournemouth Three. Mings, Distin and Atsu (Bless you!)
[three_fourth padding=”0 20px 0 0″]
[/three_fourth]Tyrone Mings (Bournemouth) Not content with a league leading number of clean sheets last season, Eddie Howe has looked to strengthen his back line with record signing, £8m Tyrone Mings from Ipswich Town.
The 22 year old, ex-mortgage adviser, scored 1 goal and provided 4 assists in 40 starts for the Tractor Boys last season, and his signing will almost certainly mean Charlie Daniels loses his place as the regular starting left back.
If the vast amount of research I have done for this article is to be believed, he stands at a cloud-bothering 6ft 5ins tall, so as well as providing from the wings, he should also represent a decent threat from set pieces.
Fantasy view: As a record signing, he’ll be looking to impress. Along with opposite full back Francis and centre back Cook, he’s a contender for that important 5th defender slot.

Sylvain Distin (Bournemouth)

Not content with a league leading number of clean sheets last season, Eddie Howe has… shamelessly used the same intro twice in a row.
As well as providing cover / rotation for regular centre back pairing Cook and Elphick, I expect that 37 year old Distin’s signing is as much about providing the squad with some valuable Premiership experience. Especially after their previous resident old man Ian Harte was released earlier this summer.
Distin only made 16 appearances for Everton last season, before leaving when his contract expired, so don’t expect a huge number of appearances. This is his second spell on the south coast after a 2 year stay at Portsmouth. Rumour has it that he’s working his way along the coast to Southampton in order to secure a guaranteed move to Liverpool in 2016.
Fantasy view: Only an option if he can secure a regular starting spot.

Christian Atsu (Bless you!! Here, have a tissue. Thanks. Here you go. No no, you keep it.) (Bournemouth)
[three_fourth padding=”0 20px 0 0″]

The third of our Bournemouth three, is Chelsea winger Christian Atsu, (Bless you!!! Thanks. Sorry, the hay fever is really bad this year. Yeah, it really is. Eyes itching? Yeah, a little. That’s rough. So how’ve you been? Not bad, other than the hay fever. Family keeping well? The cat died, but other than that, we’re good. Thanks for asking) signed on a season-long loan.
The 23 year old Ghana international spent last season on loan at Everton, making just 5 Premiership appearances (mainly coming on for the last 5 minutes) and only 1 start. He also didn’t feature at all for the last 2 months of last season.
He’ll be hoping for more opportunities this time out, and his competition for a starting place will be considerably less than it was at Everton. He has a decent international pedigree – an international with over 30 caps, including runner-up at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations, in which he also won Player (and goal) of the tournament.
Fantasy view – Possible 5th Mid / bench fodder if cheap. Monitor in pre-season.
Sh*t-joke-potential – Awesome. Starting XI and captain every week.

New Fixture Tracker added!
And whilst we have you, may we just bring your attention to the new fixture tracker that has been added. Last week we launched the Home & Away rotation tracker and both beauties can be found under the ‘Tips’ tab at the top and then under, unsurprisingly, ‘Fixture Tracker’ If that all sounds like too much hard work then here’s a quick link and also a picture of the dam thing if you’re uber lazy!…
Both have proved a massive hit on twitter. We hope you like them too.

Hey NIN would you start with Ivan ?
Hey Silvers. He’s in my team mate.
He’s in mine @ moment but struggling to get a decent Def also having Kun & Haz in there , I could do with Vlaar going to Sou
You’re probably overloading in midfield if your defence is turning out to be weak. I’d guess you need a 6.5m ish player in there and don’t have one… correct?
To be honest I have Mahrez , Sinclair , Depay , Caz , Haz plus 4 Def @ 4.5m looking a little unbalanced @ min
Okay, you’re right around borderline there, how about strikers? There has to be something keeping the back-line weak..
No not really NIN I have Kun , J Rod (@ present) & Sakho plus 2 GK @ 9.5m so no cash left
Maybe cheapen Mahrez to a 5m and go with two 4.5m GK’s? Preseason will give us an idea of who these players might be, but just a thought for now.
Thanks NIN still WIP for now 😉
Morning guys.
Had a chuckle reading chins latest ramblings
Great stuff.
Anyway I posted this yesterday but got blanked.
Waddyathink ?
You bastard! I responded :sad-face:
Abuse doesn’t count..
Well that’s me outta of here. 😉
Hi Bigpopz. Not a big fan of this midfield or defence to be honest. Would you consider losing Costa for a cheaper option and using the funds to fill out a bit?
Big P, you well pal? Id downgrade Costa to upgrade the mid. I’d also look at bringing in a 4.5 and a premium defender for Alder and Clyne. Just my thoughts……..
Just as a matter of interest it says you cant enter more than one team in FPL I thought as lg as you enter it under a different e-mail that was ok if so do you need to reg under diff name or can you use same name with diff team name
@Silver, in the past I have just registered under a different name. Last season when I had a doubles team with LS, I registered it under some alias, just in case. I really don’t think it matters as they are probably not really paying attention to that.
It’s 1 account per e-mail address Silver. Creating multiple ones is fine as long as each is on a different address. You can even use the same password on each if that keeps it simpler. Just don’t lose it
Yes will set another team up without Kun just to see how it runs I will use a different one for the doubles as well cheers Mito21 & Init
Init you still about what are the codes to join the leagues
See that massive banner at the top of the page? And the red button next to it. Click on that. Otherwise it’s 2038-877. No idea on the doubles one. Not sure if it’s on that link or not. If not Elle will have it. Pretty sure he’s had it tattooed on his forehead.
Oh yes Init how did I not see that
Evening lads and lasses, how are we all?
Well, firstly thanks a million for all the articles, loving what I’m reading!
Secondly, a few questions i’d love some opinions on:
1) Ivan and Cedric or Kos and Azpi?
2) im shaping for a 3-4-3 formation but that including a strong midfield 4 and Kun/Deeney/J-Rod (if starting) up top, is that too weak a forward line for this formation?
Cheers all and I hope you are all well.
Hey NZ how are we
1. Ivan & Cedric
2. it will be hard to replace Deeney if he doesn’t perform can you raise another 1m other options
Hello silver, I’m well pal and you? How’s your team shaping? I’m sure I could grab a mil from somewhere but liking the team at present and with another million who does that offer me?
Are you starting with kun?
Hey NZ I’m fine & yes I’m starting with Kun making my team hard work though you have much better options just over 6m Ulloa , Vardy, Cisse, Diouf , Sakho & Berahino to name but a few
Good thinking silver, I’ll keep that in mind
Hey NZ, how’s the form buddy?
I’d go Ivanovic and Cedric myself. If J-Rod is fit for the start of the season then he’s definitely under priced, which leaves Deeney as a punt. Just have a backup plan in mind just in case Deeney turns out to be a crock of shit
Hey nin, how’s things pal? Thanks for thoughts. Preseason (as always!!) will be key. How’s your team shaping?
Are all 4.0 keepers created equal? Well yeah in that they are dirt cheap for a reason, but what is the likelihood of them starting? Ignoring any possible injuries, I think if anyone is going to grab a 4.0 keeper as bench fodder, they should consider Hennessey from Palace. There seems to be a certain part of the Eagles faithful that feel he should start over Speroni. Julian is up there in age and it would not take much for him to get displaced if he struggled. Assuming Palace don’t buy another keeper with a chance of starting, I would go with Hennessey if you plan to have a 4.0 keeper on the bench.
Mito, cheers fella great little heads up that! How’s your team going?
It’s not. I don’t bother putting it together until the day before the start. First season I played I drove myself nuts tinkering with it, so now I just wait. I figure doing RMT the next couple of weeks and doing a bit of research is enough to be ready for GW1. I hope.
A: Rooney, Costa, Ramsey & 5.0 Midfielder
B: Aguero, Gomis, Sterling & Ritchie
?????
Star, that’s the million dollar question; do we start with kun? If fit he’s a must have.
NZ, are you having him? You reckon Aguero, Deeney, Gomis is a good attack?
I don’t know the answer to either questions yet Star!!
