Pottys Punters Weekly Review
So last Saturday saw an early start in Pottys Bookie’s as Potty and two of my staff, Flingy and Bench, put the Xmas Tree up ahead of opening. It was a long drawn out affair as Flingy had a chart for ‘Baubbles to Branches’ ratio and Bench spent an hour looking up the Angel’s dress but we cracked it with 15 minutes to spare.
As Saturday’s games got under-way an incredible score from Manchester came in and City’s 6-3 demolition of Arsenal had many folk discarding their bets from the off, this was followed by a boring 0-0 from Upton Park which emptied my shop.
Sunday arrived with two punters in the hunt for the £10 Free Ladbrokes bet and as Andy and Secretzorro took their seats the action started, the 3-0 away win by Man Utd over Aston Villa was not predicted by either. After a brief cuppa they witnessed the Suarez show and a 5-0 Liverpool win meant that to decide where the bet went the Tie-breaker was called upon.
The reds First goal on 18 minute’s sent the bet flying Andy’s way.
Well done Andy and I hope you have now redeemed your winnings.

Well what can we say about this fella, without doubt he is the richest punter amongst us all but his finances are managed very well, hence his yacht that bobs up and down in the warm water’s of Monaco harbour.
But he knows in his hearts of hearts he would give it all up to get 1…just 1 of his weekly Potty Predictions correct. With a unique 100% failure record since Pottys Bookies opened I give you all.

Man Utd v West Ham Utd (1-0)

Ok guys, I’ve done two transfers already. Oscar->Silva and Aguero->Lukaku. Now Zabaleta and Rooney are doubtful and my team suddenly looks quite weak. Well Aguero->Lukaku is still a transfer I would make but I could have used my -4p hit more wisely. In the future no more early transfers for me. I really should forget price rises and just concentrate on getting a good first eleven on field every week. If you do your transfers just before deadline you’ll have much less problems even if it means paying more for some players. In the end it is not about money but points. Hopefully at least Rooney plays. I think this christmas period is very important as there are so many matches. Probably more injuries and rotation worries still to come.
Oh and forgot to put my predictions. Here they are:
Liverpool v Cardiff City 3-1
Stoke City v Aston Villa 1-1
Man Utd v West Ham Utd 2-0
WBA v Hull City 0-1 (19th minute)
as yet, i haven’t made my transfers but i can see what you’re getting at.
Sometimes. i go early to catch the price rise and get burnt, i think we’ve all done it.
At the moment, i’m struggling between Rooney and Negrado for Aguero. I was going Rooney but I’m doubtful he’ll play. Moyes is as useful as a chocolate teapot when it comes to letting us know he’s status.
Yeah Moyes really don’t like us fantasy managers! He doesn’t give too much clues about his selections. I think Negredo and Rooney are your only options and if I were you I would go with Negredo because you don’t have any City players. In their current form, City can easily score 3+ against any opposition. Meanwhile United hasn’t been too convincing. It’s a hard decision and I hope you’ll get it right!
Thanks potty! Here are mine:
Liverpool 1-0 Cardiff
Stoke 0-0 villa
Man united 3- 1 west ham
WBA 1-1 hull (56 mins)
