Pre-season Hub 2019/20 FPL season
Hello and welcome to the Pre-Season Hub 2019/20 season. A new season of FPL action is ahead and as some of you may now have become accustomed to FF247 will run an article detailing all relevant pre-season news focusing specifically on the team line-ups, goal scorers and assisters. This is the article and here’s how it works;
This article is a living document which we update daily during pre-season. The intention is to offer a one-stop-shop for all fantasy relevant pieces of information as we begin to assemble our new squads over the coming weeks and months.
I intend to personally update this as we go but as always, I’m not precious about it and your help is appreciated in copy/pasting all relevant and salient pieces of information against each team’s comment thread with reference to which game the information relates to.
Each team will be listed alphabetically, and a Hot Comment will be created for each one and kept in the usual place so that for example, all of Aston Villa’s or Sheffield United’s pre-season progress and team news is only a click away. To this end, all we ask is that you keep all talk of any particular team to their own comment thread – this makes it easier to follow the discussion and for any returning persons to locate all chat relating to that team easily enough – and that’s really it.

*Wolves are a big one to note here as they will begin their season competitively on 25th July as they attempt to qualify for the Europa League Group Stage proper where they will have to negotiate three rounds.
Second Qualifying round – above.
Third Qualifying round – 8th and 15th August.
Play-off round – 22nd and 29th August.
And that’s it – all we need now is to see how the managers begin to shape their squads and integrate new signings. We would advise you pay close attention to the end of the pre-season programme as that is when it is most likely to be the best indication of how the sides will line up come opening day.
Any questions, queries or observations please leave them in the thread for comment or open discussion.

Cheers, nice one lam
Any like this that anyone spots that hasn’t yet been added is hugely appreciated.
Brilliant work lamderek thank you. Came on this morning to post this.
Cheers.
An obvious question. Was Kelly at left back? Do you see any shape to the competition for that spot?
Many thanks for the post.
One step I’ve never taken is to visit fans’ forums – however it may be that you’ll find some info / speculation on there.
I’m keeping everything crossed for Kelly.
Young Boys 2-0 Crystal Palace

That’s a bit embarrassing considering it looks like they started most of their first team
It is a strong team but I don’t pay much attention to results in pre-season.
Worth noting that Young Boys walked the Swiss League last year, beating second place Basel by 20 points. Didn’t field a bad side themselves, including their top two scorers from last season and were odds-on favourites with most bookmakers to beat Palace.

Everton changes:
That Kariobangi is a tricky team. 😉
Holgate, Gibson and Broadhead were the three players who did more than 70 mins. None of the penalty takers are involved in FPL so far. And I doubt if many were considering Lookman even before his ankle injury.
Looks like Everton are set to sign Fabian Delph
Probably decent for both that. He was a surprise when I watched that City documentary in so much as how he stood out as being one of the leaders behind the scenes, despite only being a bit part player himself. I’ve heard the same from the England camp and that that’s why he’s always in the squad, again despite not being a guaranteed starter.
Let’s just hope that’s not his only strength though and that it transpires he can’t actually play football

LIVERPOOL PRE-SEASON HUB
Do Liverpool need a new striker?
I think you may have missed the point of the hubs
But to answer your question, I wouldn’t have thought so. Maybe a new 3rd choice one to replace Studge but with Firmino and Origi in place and Salah and Mane both perfectly capable of playing up there I would doubt it’s a priority.
Salah missed training for Egypt today with “illness”
Jurgen Klopp has confirmed Xherdan Shaqiri will not be involved “for a while” after tearing his calf while on Switzerland duty at the UEFA Nations League.
Shaqiri returned to Melwood for pre-season on Monday and was assessed by the Reds’ medical staff after playing both games in the tournament against Portugal and England.
But Klopp has revealed that he faces a race against time to be fit for the start of the campaign.
“Shaq is still injured from the national team and it will take a while until he is in again,” Klopp told the club’s website .
“He has a tear in his calf, so he will not be involved for a while.”

Yeah from what I’ve seen of him he’s a really good player and might break through this season.
