Predicted Line-ups and FPL Team News Gameweek 3
We gear up towards Gameweek 3 in FPL and the last before our first international break of the season, by taking a look at the predicted line-ups as brought to you by our friends at Drafthound.
A reminder of what brought us to this point:
If you can’t do something properly don’t bother doing it at all…
The above title is a bit of a motto of FF247. And it sort of explains why we used to do this article but then suddenly stopped. The truth of the matter is that it simply became too much work for the team. Following every word of every press conference and then analysing that info and translating it into a line-up… twenty times, was quite frankly a bit too time consuming. The knock on effect was that it also pulled some key personnel away from the site on a Thursday and Friday. So we got into a situation whereby we had RMT’s stacking up and nobody to answer them! Would you rather the likes of Smash, GP and Init be stuck behind a computer waiting to report on information that you could simply Google or see on Twitter for yourself or would you prefer them to be on site answering your very own specific FPL question? In some cases it would be the former but hey ho….
However… it seems that this was always our most viewed article each week. Yep, we’d send our team out each week to research and write thousands of words and it turns out that people would rather just look at a picture of a team sheet with their FPL player of choice on it! Don’t worry, we get it, we do it ourselves.
As such we always wanted to bring it back… but without the hassle. Over the past 18 months we have had offers from other websites to share their info but we never landed on one that we trusted had done their due diligence. We would never present something to you that we didn’t trust in. During the Euros though we found a common ground amongst the team who were all using, and somewhat trusting, Drafthound with their line-ups. Turns out they do FPL ones too! Having researched their accuracy Init & Mito both declared them to be over 95% accurate, which is bloody good in that particularly precarious game of managerial mind games, subterfuge and downright lies.
To make something of a mockery of our above statement of doing stuff yourself we are therefore delighted to delegate all responsibilty to our new partners in the weekly game of Guess Who – Drafthound!
We continue this article by keeping it as simple as possible with just the line-ups, as predicted by Drafthound and as ever we shall take it from there and it will no doubt evolve over time so just bear with us on that journey.
Two important things to bear in mind;
- We trust Drafthound. They will have done their research into all this, especially given what they do, just as we used to, but these things are a ‘best guess’ exercise at best. Usual leeway should be accounted for, etc.
- Given their time and effort in providing this content for us it would be rude not to occasionally click on the Drafthound link and check out their own fabulous content as there are FPL articles aplenty on there too.

LADS AND LASSESSSS!
Hope everyone’s well! Huge statement for Man U bringing Ronnie back. Think it’ll shake up majority of teams. Has there ever been so many PREMIUMS in a season???
Like most I imagine I’m plannin on Wildcarding next week to get maybe lukaku n ronaldo in. This week I’ve got 2 transfers though and no idea what to do. Any advice please?
For 1 week given the fixture Salah to Kane or Son?
Mahrez to Benrahma would free up alot of funds. And white to Duffy maybe?
Get some west ham fire power in mate
Cheers folks, all taken on board
Salah/Toney to Son/Antonio
So folks, I’m 99% sure I’m on WC next week (with this afternoon’s news)
If I have a FT to use here ……
Is it Salah to Son for a week, or …. ?
Oh yes
If you’re feeling adventurous and wana gamble, yeah mate; if not it’s hard to get ridda salah
He can come straight back in next week was my point….
Nice to see you Jackie
Yeah its surely the move with the highest upside. Although you will lose 0.1 buying him back when every penny might count wild carding next week.
Kinda like Pereira for Shaw as a perhaps more risky one week punt, as he might well be playing in a more attacking role with Perez out.
Thanks Dale.
Usually leave a little extra change aside for such things.
Pereira is a massive favourite of mine but Leicester’s defensive issues put me off currently. Cheers mate.
this ronaldo news could be bad news for benrahma owners.
Surely Lingard will be sold to West Ham now- no reason at all for him to stay at ManU now- and he will take up Benrahma’a position.
Benrahma could still start but maybe less of a threat with Lingard also there
Or a highly paid water bottle carrier? Looks pretty good on one’s CV to be water-boy for the world’s (almost) greatest player!
I understand West Ham don’t like the fee United are looking for.
And they are about to spend a wad on Kurt Zouma too so it may not actually happen.
Was there any conclusion to the red list international duty. Will players be band for a few days if they don’t go?
Still being worked out SF.
red listed countries like brazil, egypt etc players wont be sent.
but salah for eg will play the 2nd wc qualifier in gabon from what i understand. amber listed countries ok
What reg (above) says, but FIFA would like governements to make elite level footballers exempt from the strict 10-day hotel quarantine for this and the next international break.
Thanks
Brazil squad and none selected so I think that’s confirmation
Dani Alves must be 60.
Still picking up trophies for fun too. Though just seen Argentina are still expecting Martinez, Buendia etc
It’s ridiculous what the man has won in the game.
Would you play Amartey or Ayling?
Ayling.
+1
cheers
Evening
Good to go for GW3?
Should I stick the armband on Antonio?
I would. Well, I think I am anyway.
Go for it, I put it on him as soon as the last GW finished.
