FPL Team News and Predicted Line-ups Gameweek 6
If you can’t do something properly… get someone else to do it!
We are back as ever with our predicted line-ups in conjunction with / courtesy of Drafthound. The usual warnings apply here: please take this as their / our best guess as to the line-ups, but it will never ever be 100% accurate, such is the nature of attempting to do so.
Two things to bear in mind;
- We trust Drafthound. They will have done their research into all this, especially given what they do, just as we used to, but these things are a ‘best guess’ exercise at best. Usual leeway should be accounted for, etc.
- Given their time and effort in providing this content for us it would be rude not to occasionally click on the Drafthound link and check out their own fabulous content as there are FPL articles aplenty on there too.

***NEW ARTICLE (again… ) – PREDICTED LINE-UPS GW6***
Evening
I hope everyone is well?
This is currently my team for GW6 – already done bamford to Antonio, should I stick gundo on the bench and play Livramento or take a hit and bring in Sarr?
No love for the Arse keeping Spurs out Mitro?
I’m starting White.
And you don’t need a hit.
No mate, Kane will score and it will be a pen!
That’s the spirit!
Definitely no hit. I would go 433 and play Livameto
I think I’d play Livramento and White over Marcal
Shuld I play Raph or McArthur?
Raph all day long
Will he start is the question.
I don’t want him coming in the last 20 minutes for a point.
Well, start him on your bench then.
Other choice is give Marcelo Bielsa a bell, I’m sure his number is in the book. I’m equally sure he’ll gladly shoot the shit with you.
I’ll be surprised if he don’t start plus I’ll take 15 mins of Raph over Mcarthur anyway
Guys am I gtg here please?
Yes looks fine.
How confident are you about James getting regular starts? I brought him in last week and felt slightly crushed when he didn’t start.
Not sure about him to be honest, I have too many rotation risks with Torres too. I’ll see how it goes this gameweek, I may use 3 fts for a-4 next week to sort it out if it doesn’t work out.
I’d prob bump White up on bench but other than that good to go
Cheers Smash
2FT, £0m itb, what transfer(s) to make and what team to start?
WC is an option quite soon but don’t want to commit to it so no single week transfers.
On transfers:
1) Raphina to Sarr/Benrahma, he’s flagged, Leeds are shite, but good fixtures
2) Greenwood to Sarr/Benrahma, would like to keep for another week but poor fixtures beyond that
3) Coufal to Marcal/Mitchell, purely because no other transfers make much sense this week
On starting XI:
Should Toney or White be in the XI?
Thanks all!
The side looks ok, which suggests good planning, and I’m slightly stumped about making a suggested transfer as it’s a week early to move in big on Chelsea (in my view).
In your shoes, with 2FT, I’d be thinking maybe Brownhill to McArthur or being slightly daring and downgrading Greenwood (to Sarr, or one of the Everton mids) giving yourself a bit of dosh.
Your bench looks ok but would promote White over Brownhill.
Moving Brownhill on is actually a reasonable shout in this situation, didn’t think of that.
Downgrading Greenwood has ran through my mind, unfortunately a week early to be perfect though.
Sarr has form & fixtures but Watford’s stats are pretty poor. So I’m 50/50.
I have a vague 3 step plan here that involves DCL and Toney leaving for Antonio and Lukaku with a move to a 3-4-3. Jota would leave next week as collateral.
I can do nothing here this week and it wouldn’t effect the plan.
The only consideration really is whether Antonio comes in this week but it’d mean benching somebody. Even as I’m typing this I can feel the answers being: bin / bench Toney / keep it simple, stupid etc.
Antonio has to come in and Toney has to sit, right?
Would be exactly what I’d do in the situation
Yes, bring him in. Long-term much better prospect, starting from this week.
+1
Ok, thanks all. I just feel bad for him personally as I put my faith in him and he sort of delivered, a bit. I’ve let him down gently.
I think this whole pandemic has made me lose my edge a bit. I need to get back to being more cut-throat again. I’ve had a word with myself
He’s still there though, isn’t he, watching in tears of disbelief from the bench. It’s a tough call.
Tell us more about the pain you feel.
I’ll save it for part 2 next week when I actually have to sell him. I’ll be in bits and may need counselling.
Although Lukaku may provide a shoulder and I’ll perhaps become smitten with him instead.
I’m convinced Toney has the tools to make it big time, he may just have to ‘do his time’ for a bit before he gets snapped up again. Or until Antonio gets crocked again, which will hopefully and specifically be around about GW10
Lukaku has been there, done that and is now the finished article. And more crucially plays for a title challenger who has Saints, Brentford, Norwich, Newcastle and Burnley up next*
*that’s just me practicing for the moment I let him down even more gently
I may have to re-watch that trade scene in Moneyball.
Or just recall my teenage years when Pamela Anderson emerged and Erika Elaniak suddenly became a distant
wankmemory.Let’s hope that Sarr is not the new trap du jour, just like Marcal who we went mad about after his 2 assists
