If you can’t do something properly… get someone else to do it!

We are back as ever with our predicted line-ups in conjunction with / courtesy of Drafthound. The usual warnings apply here: please take this as their / our best guess as to the line-ups, but it will never ever be 100% accurate, such is the nature of attempting to do so.

Two things to bear in mind;

  • We trust Drafthound. They will have done their research into all this, especially given what they do, just as we used to, but these things are a ‘best guess’ exercise at best. Usual leeway should be accounted for, etc.
  • Given their time and effort in providing this content for us it would be rude not to occasionally click on the Drafthound link and check out their own fabulous content as there are FPL articles aplenty on there too.

  1. Evening all, really struggling to get Lukaku into my team as I want to hold Ronnie.
    Thinking a 4ph of:

Out: Shaw / Jota / Bamford
In: Marçal / ESR / Lukaku

Got 1.1 ITB and 2 fts.

Any and all thoughts most welcome!
    Cheers

    • Your defense would be way too weak imo though, I would just sell Ronnie for Lukaku. But, if you really want to keep Ronaldo, then those moves would be the ones I’d do as well… I wouldn’t sell TAA as you’ve already used your WC

    • Those are the best moves to keep both TAA and Ronnie. But I am worried about the fragile bench and also ESR might start to be rotated with Pepe. And Saar’s fixtures get tougher.
Lukaku for Ronnie is the best policy then gradually work in a better defence week by week

  2. Is it advisable to captain Raphinha this GW?

    • According to the poll, 1.4% think its a good idea!

    • It’s certainly a differential and it might be explode big time. I’m playing safe and going with Lukaku

    • Not really in the sense that I suspect the majority will be on Ronaldo / Lukaku / Antonio.

However if they don’t do well and Raphinha does you’ll be marching up the ranks. Big If though. I’d play it safe.

  3. FTx2
    ITB: 0.3m

    Looking at doing
    Out: Cucho/Bruno and either TAA/Maguire
    In: Lukaku/Kovacic/Rudiger

Who is the best to get rid of out of TAA and Maguire?

    • If funds are ok i’d bin Mcguire.

    • How about Trent to Rudiger,Bruno to Rapha ,Cucho to Lukaku ?

      • good suggestion, but think i would like to keep TAA for now. He is good for assists etc, and people reckon he could be back after the IB.

As for Maguire, they reckon he could be out for 4 weeks (apparently), so he will be the one making way.

    • I’d ditch Bruno, just see it as a punishment ditching for that comical penalty last week. Raphinha not the worst replacement.

Also ditch Maguire, see that as a guilty by association ditching, and get some Chelsea defensive ass in there.

      • Kralin, im tripling up on Chelsea – mad I know, but they seem strong this season, and their fixtures look good. Rudiger/Kovacic and Lukaku are gonna give me points points points!!! and lukaku will get goals goals goals

        • Well the former won’t happen without the latter. I’m pleased you’re happy and singing.

        • I will only be singing if my -4 pays off and Lukaku scores goals, Rudiger gets a clean sheet and Kovavic plays and gets an assist..lol

        • I’d see the -4 over a few GW, not just the first one. All those players will be in your side for a bit.

        • Yeah agreed. The -4 moves are a longer term strategy in all fairness unless injuries hit them. (perish the thought).

Fingers crossed I reap the rewards.

Now to decide my captain – Lukaku or Antonio!!

        • Head versus heart there.

  4. I thought we encouraged you to move Cucho & Bruno last week
Anyway Maguire out definitely. TAA should be be back next GW while Maguires injury looks more lasting

    • You did, but i wanted the 2 transfers for this week so I could do the moves I wanted. I had another fire to put out last week which is why I couldnt do it.

They will be gone this week.

Both showing as a potential return of 16th October according to PL fantasy website

  5. Capo?

    • Lukaku.

    • Ronaldo though I fancy Antonio a little as well. Will probably stick with Ronaldo. The weather tomorrow worries me slightly but looks like the worst of it will be along the coast.

  6. I haven’t taken any hits this season yet which is good for me! Worth a -8 here to do Shaw, Greenwood and ASM to White, Kovacic and Lukaku?

    • Err, no, probably not. Unless I’m mistaken you’ve got a starting 11. And as appealing as he may be, I don’t think Lukaku is absolutely essential this week. Southampton kept City out last time round.

    • Very good re the hits, I had to take one last week and was urgently seeking therapy by Monday to help get over it.

I don’t think the moves you suggest merit a -8. In fact you’re removing players that I wouldn’t see as priorities to move. In your shoes I’d dump the Spurs’ defender for a safer Chelsea defender / Dias.

      • Kralin, do you prefer Dias or Cancelo from City? I’m always wary of doubling up at the back! I get that if it’s a clean sheet it pays off but it’s so easy to lose out so think I’d rather a City defender than another Chelsea.

        • Dias. I may be getting him in tonight / next GW. He just seems as nailed as a City player can ever be. I know Cancelo has also played every minute but I have less nagging doubts about Dias.
