FF247 FPL Team Gameweek 11

Welcome to the FF247 FPL Team for Gameweek 11

So Gameweek 10 is in the books and the lads here at FF247 Towers didn’t clear the avergae bar by much – but we did – and the 49 points versus the 42 average secured a green arrow and a rise to just outside the top quarter million – 251,543 for the pedantic amongst you.

We had the midfield to thank in all honesty with you. We mined 33 of our overall total in there thanks to the performances of (captain) Mohamed Salah 10, Raphinha 9, Emile Smith-Rowe 9 and Said Benrahma 5. In fact only Antonio Rudiger with 6, outside of these did anything of note with his clean sheet at Newcastle. The rest are 2s and 1s and have been sent to the naughty step.

Our Gameweek 11 Transfer(s)

It came down to three early choices which were bringing in Reece James for the stricken Luke Ayling, chasing Norwich via Ivan Toney and simultaneously dealing with the ASM problem (“it’s all about Callum Wilson” – our North East correspondent) and finally saving. The sensible suggestion was probably to save ….. but Norwich etc.

To confirm then we have SOLD ALAIN SAINT-MAXIMIN and BOUGHT IVAN TONEY

Captain – MOHAMED SALAH

Yeah that doesn’t need an explanation so there won’t be one. New signing Ivan Toney is given the VC because Norwich etc.

  1. ok, Keane out, Pinnock in and rolling the other FT
    went with my gut this time.
    Hoping Salah blanks, even though he is my captain..lol
    Is bench good to go?

  2. Thoughts on this? Want to move Ayling on but can only see a Brentford defender as a viable replacement at £5.0m

      • I was planning on using my wc. should I hold for christmas?

        • I think you can manage to sort the team with FTs. Sarr, and the West Ham boys perhaps the only ones with bad games. Raphinha has ok games.

          2FTs should sort the issues, also West Ham have a decent game next up so hold the WC imo

    Hope everyone is doing well, not had much time with fpl past few months. Have had a terrific past 2 gws having gained 1.1m ranks, now around 300k, and I want to keep the momentum.

    Have 2 FT, 3.8 ITB.

    OG plan was Havertz to Son next gw, but I have a FT to use now.

    Considering Raphinha out for Son or Mbeumo.

    Whoever I don’t transfer in out of the 2 will come in next gw for Havertz.

    I can’t decide between the two, who would you choose to transfer in this gw?

    Also any Adam Armstrong starting news going around?

    • Can’t see a lot of downside from Mbeumo in for Raph and will still give you 2FTs after the IB good

      • going by that username, any chance you’re a Spurs fan?

        I can’t help but feel Son is gonna haul vs Everton too, very conflicted rn given Mbeumo plays Norwich too‍♂️

    • I’ll be honest, I don’t like Raphinha coming out of that sqaud at all. He’s thier main man and everything good is coming from him.

      On form, I’d let Havertz go first.

      • I’ve thought of that but removing a Chelsea number 9 in their last good game is a bit hard too.

        I rate Raphinha massively as a player, and given I saw Arsenal ease past Leicester first half last game, I might come to regret it but Leeds aren’t great atm and I feel(hope) Leicester may keep a CS

    • I’d think twice about starting Mount, seems like he may not play full time

      • The thing is Benrahma is also like a sub with Lanzini playing well lately. Also mount seems getting returns easier than Benraham coming off bench and get an assist.
        Or simply get in Mbeumo?
