Welcome to FPL Team Gameweek 13

A case (again) for the defence!

You know when your goalkeeper follows up a penalty save the previous week with an assist this, that you are on a bit of a run eh?

Ben Foster (5) has been an unexpected little gem of late and he doesn’t even need clean sheets! Ahead of him, well the golden triumvirate of – in ascending numerical order to build both suspense and grandeur – Joao Cancelo (12), Antonio Rudiger (14) and Trent Alexander-Arnold (15) continue to lead the way, showing up those big fancy expensive attackers (Salah, apart obviously) how it is done.

Our only slight regret is that we don’t have four or five of them back there!

The aforementioned Salah, of course, double-digited with his 16 points (captain) and aside from Ivan Toney (6) bagging a relatively disappointing one goal involvement (in his sides three on the day) the rest were a pile of puke 2s.

Our 78 points for the week took us to 98,485 overall as the upwardly-mobile FF247 boys notched their fourth consecutive green arrow.

We arrive at Gameweek 13 with 1 Free Transfer and 0.8mln in the bank and in good shape to save. Then we noticed two things:

1. We had two West Ham players – pushing our luck a bit this far into the season AND with a trip to City on Sunday

and;

2. We didn’t have Conor Gallagher

To confirm then we have SOLD SAID BENRAHMA and BOUGHT CONOR GALLAGHER

Captain – MOHAMED SALAH

Obviously.

Harry Kane will take it if something happens with the Egyptian King.

    • I can see Antonio doing something against City but I can’t say with any confidence who you might remove for him.

      Switch Livramento and Brownhill – Livra deserves at least that.

      • Or with any confidence what it is he’ll actually do! Hoping personally that it’s a goal and an assist in West Hams 4-2 loss to City! smile

  6. Is there anyone here who has Bernardo Silva in their team? smile

    I need to ship Sarr and I’ve narrowed the options down to two: Jota and Silva…. Everyone seems to have (or favor) Jota, but Silva has more points per match than Jota this season. I’d be all over Jota but there are two reasons I am hesitating: 1) Jota has only played 90mins twice this season, 2) he has 0 bonus points this season… Seems like he always get hauled off and he doesn’t get bonus. Bilva on the other hand is rather likely to get bonus if he scores, and he’s been in great from as of late. Seems like a great alternative!

      • Maybe I should be looking at BSilva. He’s a great player it’s probably his relatively average FPL history. Jota looks like he could haul every time he plays he just misses way too many chances

        • Yeah, I agree BSilva’s history at FPL is not great, but same was true with Gundogan last season (I think), and he just went on a run… I don’t know, Jota probably doesn’t get the bonus because of those missed chances… but he might haul any day

        • Yeah I need to see a bit more but I am watching now

      Expecting more of that on Sunday yes
