The 2021/22 season is underway and we’ve started off in a very handsome manner indeed; 94 points and a rank of 817,700. Although this wasn’t the opening century achieved by many of our friends, had you offered us 25pts above the average prior to GW1, we’d have snapped your hand off (in true Football Clichés style).
Despite the best efforts of our shameful Five (Barnes with 3pts, Toney with 2pts and Bachmann, Shaw and Raphinha all just a solitary 1pt) who tried their damndest to bring down the average, our other six (who had clearly read the briefing) brought home the bacon. Nice.
Double Liverpool at the back got us off to a solid start; a clean sheet win at Carrow Road bringing in a solid 12pts between Trent and the self-anointed ‘Greek Scouser’ Tsimikas.
Up top, DCL opened his account for the season, and the members of our team who voted him in as our late Watkins replacement have a justifiable ‘smug face’, although in fairness, the alternative (Danny Ings) also did the business, I digress. Michail Antonio proved to be a sound pick; 13 points for an all-around performance at St James’ that even a penalty miss could not diminish, we knew he’d be a great pick and won’t apologise for it!
Finally, onto Bruno and Salah ©. They did alright, I suppose.

Our Gameweek 2 Transfer(s)
Such was the contentment with our opening performance and squad in genera (as it stands), that none of our management team suggested a transfer. Which is about as much of a conclusive ‘save and move’ as you’ll find.
Don’t ask us what our plan is moving forward (we have nothing) but we do like the idea of having two freebies in GW3 and an opportunity to go FPL high-end shopping.
To confirm then we have SAVED OUR FREE TRANSFER

Once more (of course), it came down to the two midfield gladiators, and in a vote of seven, it’s the Egyptian who faces Burnley at home with the armband firmly wrapped around his upper arm. In case you’re interested, the vote ended 5-2. At one point it was 3-2, it could have gone either way, but in the end, the last two votes went the way of the Liverpool man. Bruno takes the VC.

If Kane goes to City, would this be wildcard team be a madness?
I mean – Kane, Lukaku, Son, Fernandes, Trent, Shaw, Tierney and Reguilon…
Obviously, I’d be taking a risk on not having value players like Benrahma, Ings, Antonio, Mount, Toney, etc… But it’s such a premium-filled team! I feel like the only key weakness would be not having Salah, but hopefully TAA’s point offer good Liverpool coverage…
If Tsimikas was an actual option I believe it a bit more, but you might as well have no bench with the way it looks as those guys are basically useless most weeks and you would need one every week with the current side.I think there be weeks where you would feel good about your side and then there will be those weeks where your defenders have a stinker and that would really test your resolve. Think that is why most people start with a team with a 4 or even 5 at the back and end up with only 3 at the back a few weeks in.
i have sacriiced salah for a more all round team. I have Lukaku, Son, Bruno as big hitters.
I havent thought about Kane. Cant get him in so easily. If he stays at Spurs, I have Son. If he goes to City, then could switch Lukaku to Kane whoever is showing better form

Doubt it.
Many will get that itchy trigger finger later tonight or early tomorrow and won’t be able to help themselves.

I love a good early transfer. Jumped off Gundogan to Pogba before his price rise.
Feelings a bit like point chasing and I don’t even real like him, but itchy fingers do that
I believe so. But I am sure many will have boarded the Pogba, Benrahma and Lukaku trains.

With Gundo and Kevin fit I am very concerned with Mahrez playing time. What are his chances of starting now?
Imo, 75% chance to start. But we never know with Pep.
pep said kdb didnt train, so he may come off bench again.

He should be fine and not impacted by those two really. They only have Torres who can play RW really so Mahrez should be ok. Only if they go Jesus up top and Torres right will get be impacted
Should I roll my FT or is it worth using the 0.5 to bring in DLC for Watkins?
watkins unlikely to play. and with tough fixtures to come no real need to keep him. so i would say get dcl

I own Benrahma and Harvey Barnes but cannot fit both into my starting lineup for GW2. Any thoughts on best pick for the starting 11? Thanks!
