Welcome to Site Team Gameweek 3
For a team whose captain blanked (didn’t most?) and not (YET) owning Benrahma, to score a 13-above average 69 points – and a total of 163 points after two – we don’t’ feel too bad with the current position.
We are 677,270 overall and we shall apply the old adage, “You can’t win FPL after the first couple of Gameweeks but you can lose it”.
Now let’s go win it!
Gameweek 2 you remember was the captaincy battle between the two FPL behemoths – Mohamed Salah and Bruno Fernandes – when all along we should have gone with Antonio, Trent or *checks notes* Tsimikas …..
Those three led/dragged our team along with scores of 16, 12 and 11. Only DCL and Raphinha (both 7) with goals and Luke Shaw with his two bonus points (no, really) didn’t blank.

Let’s go see what was decided…
We arrive at Gameweek 3 as planned, with 2 free transfers.
We’ve lost a couple of quid and we’ve gained a couple of quid but we haven’t panicked and rushed into anything. ‘Slow and steady’ and all that!

If we asked you to guess what our move (singular) would be based on the above, would you say Barnes to Benrahma?
Well you would be correct.
The move was pretty unanimous and we get in a player in excellent form for one … who isn’t. Simple this game some times.
Kind of now also helps that this is a downgrade (in monetary terms anyway) and we stash a few pennies away into the Ronnie-day fund.
To confirm then we have SOLD HARVEY BARNES and BOUGHT SAID BENRAHMA

This one was between the West Ham man and the man who takes up the vice captaincy, Bruno. By 4 votes to one Micha’ takes it.
More Dirty Dancing against Palace please big chap!

Am I wrong in thinking that given that Tsimikas has played so well while deputising for Robertson that Klopp wouldn’t just take him out and maybe want to ease Robertson back in with minutes toward the end (if they are winning) especially against Chelsea this weekend? Or would we likely see the reverse, Robbo starts and then Tsimi gets the minutes.
Feels more likely that Robertson starts if he is fit. But it is possible Tsimikas starts, I just don’t think it’s the likely outcome — make of it what you will, Klopp hasn’t been overly helpful on the topic

going forward i’d probably go for a better keeper option i can’t Brentford keeping up the good start
Who would go go for in the same price bracket? I’m thinking Raya could be the new Martinez!!
Raya is doing well on saves and BPS, I don’t think it is a problem having him.
You are taking a risk because of the big two up top (i.e. no Salah) but you are going to have to. Fingers crossed on Jota, Pogba and Grealish making up the shortfall.
CR7 plan?
I think more teams will look different going forward, I.e. maybe no Bruno and Salah. The premium options are stacked now. I like the team, but would have Salah over Rom all day long
It is a risk going without Bruno and Mo, but hopefully spreading the money out will pay off. I’ve pretty much always gone with the template and my OR seems to suffer. Dunno. Need to do something different this season. This tactic will probably backfire knowing my luck!! I would have liked to get Raphina in there too but between him and Benny I think I’ll stick with the form player for now…
Amarty won’t last long. William’s at Norwich could play going forward (but it is Nor). Anything ITB for CR7?

I have 0.3 ITB…Kane to Ron possibly…let’s see how they price him. I agree with you about Amartey but there aren’t many options there. He is just bench fodder.

I don’t know what the deal is on DCL and his toe(s)… Will he play or is it one of those he probably won’t but FPL haven’t caught up on the news yet kind of things?

Cheers. Actually Guehi and Andersen can potentially hold him at bay, I think they have potential. That said, he’s on fire and a decent choice as well.
Not sure on DCL but rest of team looks good. What made you go Bruno over Antonio C? Trying to make the decision myself
I don’t have a good answer to that. I think it came down to me not wanting Bruno laughing at me all season again (not too keen on picking him at all actually, not a good idea last season…)
