Another week/Another Green Arrow
Easy this game – OK so we are only spitting difference away from the weekly average but those +9 points have brought us up to 392,480 and only two points away from the 300-point mark for the season.
We captained Ronaldo at home to Newcastle and stole a march on the two people in total who didnt and he landed us 26 points. Those 26 nestle neatly between the 34 points Salah grabbed us at Norwich and the 22 haul Antonio secured at home to Palace. Three captain successes in the opening four is very very welcome.
Salah got us 8 points thanks to his goal at Leeds and the rest was a case for the defence. TAA (12), White and Shaw (both 5). The rest a collections of 1s, 2s and 3s. Oh and a -1 for our former favourite Antonio. What have you done for us lately, Michail?

Our Gameweek 5 Transfer(s)
With Rafa El Gaffer being so open pre-Burnley in explaining to us that DCL is out and will be for at least 2-3 weeks with toe (and potentially other) problems, then we decided that we’ll take that as gospel (more fool us?) and with our one free transfer, we were after a forward replacement for this week (and short/medium term). The rest of our side is in pretty good condition so we are afforded the luxury of a straight swap.
Antonio is to be benched. Although it wasn’t openly discussed in full, it was taken as read that we’ll back the West Ham striker to come back in in time for Leeds and Brentford. Noice.
Bamford was suggested by one of the team and this was quickly seconded, thirded and fourth-ded (?). In comes Paddy lad and as a consequence we now have more Leeds than the Kaiser Chiefs!
To confirm then we have SOLD DOMINIC CALVERT-LEWIN and BOUGHT PATRICK BAMFORD
Captain – MOHAMED SALAH
Salah hoovered up the early votes and was never likely to be realistically challenged this week. As for vice, our resident United fan doesn’t like the Red Devils’ chances this weekend (not in those exact words but stuff it! … I’m shaming him!) and he voted for Bamford. Everyone else realises that should the worst happen to Salah, CR7 is the sensible VC choice.

Ronaldo is a scoring machine, but Salah is the logical, safe pick.

I doubt it. They are doing well and it would not make sense to bench him imo.
Hi all. Used my ft to get Trent in for Tsimikas. Have 0.7 in the bank and tempted to bring in Alonso/James for Reguilon or even Digne to Dias/Cancelo. Open to suggestions gang. Thanks as always

Out of your defenders I think coufal will be least likely to get CSs over the coming weeks….how about coufal to Semedo for the next 2 and then swap to James/Alonso or just coufal to Chelsea now? I’m gonna drop coufal to James myself but not sure whether to do it now for a hit or not? I’d probably play Reguillon over Brownhill myself too

I think so Neilos, did DCL to Bamford with my FT. I’m gonna do Coufal/Shaw/Ronaldo to James/Rudiger/Lukaku over the next couple of weeks but just not sure if I should take a -4 and do Coufal to James now? Otherwise it will either be a -4 next week to bring Rudi in or the following week for free if price changes allow

I’m thinking of upgrading a bench option to help cover for Antonio’s absence. I have 1FT 3.2M ITB. I could do Perica > Jimenez (I’m 0.2 short of Bamford) or Gilmour > Greenwood. Planning to WC GW 7/8. What do you think?

Those both sound good to me.
To pick one, I think I would go with Jimenez for his assuredness to play. Goals are surely due.

I would likely sell Digne at some point soon if I had him but I’d play him while I had him if that makes sense?
Yeah, good point. I intend to sell him at the next reasonable opportunity.
I actually went with Jimenez over Bamford, don’t think Leeds double up in attack is needed.

I would drop Jansson to a 4.5mln defender (even another Brentford if you so fancy – Rico Henry maybe) or go elsewhere – Wolves & Leeds have a good run of games so maybe Coady or Ayling.
This saving along with what you have in the bank could get you Pukki for Dennis for Norwich’s run.

Gone with White only because I’m not convinced Arsenal will keep one more cs this season
Just with the injuries/suspensions Leeds have, I’d maybe sway towards White instead of Ayling.
