Another week/Another Green Arrow
Easy this game – OK so we are only spitting difference away from the weekly average but those +9 points have brought us up to 392,480 and only two points away from the 300-point mark for the season.
We captained Ronaldo at home to Newcastle and stole a march on the two people in total who didnt and he landed us 26 points. Those 26 nestle neatly between the 34 points Salah grabbed us at Norwich and the 22 haul Antonio secured at home to Palace. Three captain successes in the opening four is very very welcome.
Salah got us 8 points thanks to his goal at Leeds and the rest was a case for the defence. TAA (12), White and Shaw (both 5). The rest a collections of 1s, 2s and 3s. Oh and a -1 for our former favourite Antonio. What have you done for us lately, Michail?

Our Gameweek 5 Transfer(s)
With Rafa El Gaffer being so open pre-Burnley in explaining to us that DCL is out and will be for at least 2-3 weeks with toe (and potentially other) problems, then we decided that we’ll take that as gospel (more fool us?) and with our one free transfer, we were after a forward replacement for this week (and short/medium term). The rest of our side is in pretty good condition so we are afforded the luxury of a straight swap.
Antonio is to be benched. Although it wasn’t openly discussed in full, it was taken as read that we’ll back the West Ham striker to come back in in time for Leeds and Brentford. Noice.
Bamford was suggested by one of the team and this was quickly seconded, thirded and fourth-ded (?). In comes Paddy lad and as a consequence we now have more Leeds than the Kaiser Chiefs!
To confirm then we have SOLD DOMINIC CALVERT-LEWIN and BOUGHT PATRICK BAMFORD
Captain – MOHAMED SALAH
Salah hoovered up the early votes and was never likely to be realistically challenged this week. As for vice, our resident United fan doesn’t like the Red Devils’ chances this weekend (not in those exact words but stuff it! … I’m shaming him!) and he voted for Bamford. Everyone else realises that should the worst happen to Salah, CR7 is the sensible VC choice.

Didn’t bring Ronaldo in last week so have decided to activate my wildcard this week a s stuck on either one of these. Any help will be appreciated. One is good across the board the other is for Lukaku and Ronaldo …..
Probably the second one as I wouldn’t be wildcarding now without TAA. But in that one I would ditch Tsimikas just in case you want a second LIverpool attacker at some point. Take Williams or Livramento maybe.
And you are going to face the potential of points on the bench at any point as you can’t play all your front eight and most times, you would probably want to. Good cover though.
First team probably Benrahma to Raph and downgrade one of the 5.x mids to 4.5.Tsimikas doesn;t play so get another 4.0 option that gets minutes (maybe one of the Norwich boys). Maybe get a Wolves defender. Would love TAA in there too, but don;t think you have the funds.

Defence is quite light. Marcal over Coady.
I prefer Gallagher and the stats back that up, but he has a poor fixture this week. Could consider Pukki to fodder to strengthen defence.
I’d keep the two you have there. Jota should be OK with Firmino confirmed out again. Gray looks good just now.

Hi all. I stayed away from trying to bring in Lukaku as I feel with 4 premiums (incl TAA), it would just be too unbalanced. But I’ve definitely given myself selection headaches going forward. I may get rid of Shaw/White next week to Livramento who’s cheaper and could potentially be playing as a winger soon to free up some cash to upgrade Armstrong to Bamford down the line as he’s expensive to be sitting on the bench.
Apart from that, am I all set for this week? Cheers

The double wolves makes me nervous but then I have double Leeds at the moment myself so who am I to talk. Sounds like you have a solid plan moving forward so I think it looks good for this week.
Thanks ODT. I know 2 wolves is risky. Marcal may be rotated but I feel my bench can cope with that. Plus wolves next 10 fixtures are Bre, Sou, New, Avl, Lee, Eve, Cry, WHU, Nor and Bur so fingers crossed some points come in from those games!

There’s nothing straightforward with changing Brownhill and Gilmour so I say you save that transfer and await Antonio’s return and have 2FTs in the pocket.
Hopefully the big four cover for them.
