Suspension Report – Fantasy Football Tips 2014/15

[/three_fourth]As the season progresses, it’s time to start keeping an eye on the red and yellow card count for our players and transfer targets, in order to make sure we can field 11 players each week. With cup matches also playing a part with regard to suspensions, holding that transfer until later in the week can sometimes pay dividends.
In brief, any player who gets a red card during a game will receive a suspension, normally between 1 and 3 games, depending on what has done, however players also receive suspensions for yellow cards. Any player who receives 5 yellow cards up to and including 31st Dec will receive a 1 match suspension. Any player who receives 10 yellow cards up to and including the second Sunday in April will receive a 2 match suspension. Any player who receives 15 yellow cards before the end of the season will receive an automatic 3 match suspension.
The FA website is a great resource for suspension information, current suspensions can be found along with lists of all players close to suspension (currently 4 yellow cards). However it is also possible to search by team and check the amount of cards for all players in each squad, so its always worth a look before making any transfers.

[/three_fourth]Branislav Ivaonvic picked up a red card in the match against Manchester United at the weekend, but the one match suspension was served on Tuesday night in the Capital One Cup so he will be free to take to the field at the weekend against QPR.
No other red cards were flashed at the weekend, however, two were shown in the midweek cup games, although only one of these will lead to a Premier League suspension. On Tuesday Federico Fernandez of Swansea picked up a red card against Liverpool, however this has subsequently been rescinded and as a result he will not miss any games. This was followed by a red card for Peter Crouch on Wednesday night and a suspension will follow. At the time of writing the length of this suspension is not yet known, nor is it known if Peter will appeal, so keep an eye on the news for more information.
Phil Bardsley of Stoke will miss this weekend’s game against West Ham, having picked up his fifth yellow card of the season in the cup game against Southampton, he will not be able to play until Stoke meet Spurs on 9th November.
The yellow card count is now starting to clock up for a good few players with the players below all on 4 yellow cards to date. One more yellow and a one match suspension will ensue:

So, in a nutshell, all we have to do is keep track of the red and yellow cards……….errrrm well no, that’s not strictly true. We also have to keep an eye on social media!
Rio Ferdinand has been handed a £25,000 fine and a three match ban, to commence with immediate effect, subject to any appeal, following a comment he made on twitter. He will now miss the three league games against Chelsea, Manchester City and Newcastle, and will not be free to play until 29th November against Leicester. Rio was also ordered to attend “an education programme”…………………..it would be too easy to follow this up with numerous jokes, but you know we don’t do that kind of thing, so let’s just hope he remembers to turn up!
Sanchez in and Di Maria out feels the right move this week.
Sanchez is getting good points atm but i believe ADM is the better option in the long haul.
I bought ADM at 9.5m, selling him now would mean I’d have made 0.3m cash on him. But since he’s not injured it will be much harder to buy him back. And I agree, in the long run ADM is the way better option. I could be wrong though. If the goalies and defenders keep helping Sanchez like in the last match he might become topscorer of the league for all I know.
Go with your gut even if it’s crazy. :dance:
Guys this is my team….planning on doing alderwireld to naughton and hutton to s.taylor (this would allow me to bench sigurdsson for the next 3 weeks…or should I just sell him??)…..what are your thoughts??? Don’t really know what position to change so help would be appreciate.
FDMS – To be honest, i would (and will) play Sigurdsson for these games. Binning both your GK’s is an option. Jakupovic and Adrian perhaps?

I wouldn’t ditch Southampton at all mate. I’d hold Alderweireld.
I would look to change GKS with your FTs as the rest of your team is sound.
And if he is fit, I’d play Sigurdsson every week.

Hull are hard to break down with 3 at the back and Huddlestone & Livermore sitting in front. I don’t expect a lot of goals in that game. Maybe 1-o Southampton?
My team is very similar and I’m going Cesc (C), Aguero (vc).
This is as tough a fixture for Soton as any of their upcoming ones – I think the Manc clubs at home will be easier for them to score against than Hull away. With your team I’d captain Welbeck – you’ve got to have some faith in him, otherwise just get rid if you don’t think he’ll do well against poor Burnley.
Risky captain choice. However could pay off, though. Hull at the back might be better than United at the back at the moment. Can’t say. Last week Pelle did outscore Kun and I really didn’t expect it back then.
Ummm. Lets see. I’ve been telling people that I think taking out Di Maria is crazy, but that could just be me.
Why would you want to swap di maria to hazard, when you already have fabregas, keep it how it is, I can see di maria doing something this weekend
