The Boot Room – FPL Fantasy Premier League GW21

Photo 02-01-2014 11 40 06With less than nine days to go and counting until the next deadline we all have plenty of thinking and tinkering time left… The January Wildcard is now available should you feel inclined to use it. Will you activate it immediately, possibly with a view to maximising your team value or will you wait until the transfer window has shut and judge what impact that has had, if any? Whichever you decide is the best strategy for you ahead of the next game-week we welcome your questions and also your advice to others. Please feel free as ever to post your thoughts, questions and feelings about whatever you want to but in particular if you would like others to take a look at your team ahead of GW21 and offer their thoughts and suggestions please post it below or link it and we are sure you will get plenty of feedback. Some of which may be constructive but we can’t promise anything!

Is there a stat that shows how many FPL managers are using the January Wildcard? Using it right now really doesn’t seem a wise move unless you haven’t used your season long wildcard yet and you are building value.

Though, price rises aren’t that great at the moment. Some use it to gain some money, but there is practically no growth.

As for crazy people. I see Gazzinga is rising even though he hasn’t played the last 2 games. >.<

Also guys. Are we expecting many DGW's? Do we expect Arsenal and City to go through to the next round? United will reach the next round which automatically will mean they're out of the race for the EPL top 3.

Tinkering around with more wc teams, current team is:
    Howard Marshall
Terry Coleman Chester B. Turner Flanagan
    Ramsey Hazard Walcott Nolan Morrison
    Rooney Suarez Lukaku

    Wc:
    Marshall Mannone
    Koscielny Coleman Chester Turner Ward
    Walcott Hazard Gerrard Cabaye Colback
    Suarez Lukaku Adebayor

This doesn’t give me Soton coverage, but Spurs have aight fixtures as well imo .. Also this leaves me with exactly 4.2m in the bank which allows me to upgrade adebayor to aguero once he returns to regain my city coverage..This wc team probably lowers my team value a lot I would think tho, cos Im worth 108.5m with 0.1m in the bank atm, what do you guys think?

    Hello Guys,
Rightly or wrongly, I’ve played my wildcard to coincide with GW21.
Please can you rate my team and give me some advice as to changes I may consider this week.

    Marshall (Mannone);
    Shaw; Burner; Sagna; (Chester; Gabbidon)
    Walcott; Hazard; Silva; Cabaye; (Huddlestone)
    Rodriguez; Suarez; Wellbeck
£4.7m in bank to swap Wellbeck for Aguero, when he becomes available.

    Thanks…

Dont think doubling up on Cardiff is a good idea, especially when they are going through managerial changes which hints at an offensive strategy towards gameplay. Keep this reason aside, id never advice on having 2 players at the back from same team, especially from weak ones.
But to be honest, upcoming home games for Cardiff are sweet.

      The rest seems nice.
